It's been six years since the Empire rose from the ashes of the Republic and took over the galaxy. An Imperial shuttle enters the atmosphere of a planet far from the centre of the Empire. It soars over the ocean of the planet until reaching a mountain range. A modified Omega badnik stands on the cliff side and see's the shuttle before sending a message. Inside a small house a male grey furred Lynx in old robes receives the warning on a screen. He looks behind him to a female Lynx. They begin packing when the door opens and a young female Lynx with brown fur enters "Momma, they're coming!" she said to the two of them. "We know. Grab your things. We have to go" the father said to her. The girl ran to her room to pack while her mother went to a computer screen which showed an elderly brown owl in red and blue robes. "Hello" the owl said, "Harvey, it's Lyra. It's happened. They've come for us" she replied worryingly, "You know what to do". The shuttle lands in a field not far from the house.
Back inside the male lynx looks to his daughter "Nicole, come here", Nicole walked up to him and he leaned down in front of her "Remember, whatever I do, i do to protect you. Say you understand". The scared girl nodded her head "I understand" her father smiles and kisses her on the forehead. Nicole quickly hugged her father "I love you, papa" "I love you too, Stardust". Outside, a line of stormtroopers in black armour walk towards the house led by a male Pig in a blue and red uniform. The male lynx exits the house and begins walking to meet them while Lyra and Nicole run through a ravine in the mountain. The mother stops Nicole "You know where to go, don't you?" she asked her daughter. Nicole nodded and her mother took off her necklace which had a small crystal on it "Trust the Force" she said before putting it around Nicole's neck. She cups her daughters face in her hands before pulling her into a warm hug. She tried to hide the tears in her eyes as she let go of her daughter.
The male lynx meets the troopers and the Pig in the middle of the field with a stoic look on his face. The Pig stared him down "You're a hard man to find, Ellidy. But farming… Really? A man of your talents?" he said as if talking to an old friend. "It's a peaceful life" Ellidy said bluntly, "It's lonely, I imagine". Ellidy face dropped slightly "Since Lyra died, yes". The Pig half-heartedly tried to look solemn "Oh…My condolences…. Search the house!" three of the troopers marched past Ellidy towards the house. "What is it you want?" he asked the Pig who took a step closer to him "The work has stalled. I need you to come back". Elliday shook his head "I won't do it, Hamlin", the Pig took another step forward "We were on the verge of greatness. We were this close to providing peace and security for the galaxy". Ellidy looked at him defiantly "You're confusing peace with terror" "Well, we have to start somewhere" the pig replied coldly. Ellidy began to look scared "I'd be no help, Hamlin. My mind just isn't what it was. I have trouble remembering even simple things". Little did any of them know, Nicole was hiding behind a small hill watching the two of them. Hamlin raised his eyebrow "Ellidy, you're an inspired scientist but you're a terrible liar. Now I admire the effort, I really do". In the corner of his eye, he suddenly sees Lyra running towards them which didn't seem to surprise him at all "Oh, look, here's Lyra back from the dead".
Ellidy looks in shock before running towards her, "It's a miracle" Hamlin said sarcastically. One of the troopers points his blaster at Elliday when another gets between him and Lyra. "Stop!" Hamlin ordered, Lyra does so but pulls out a concealed blaster, she looked scared. Hamlin rolls his eyes "Oh, Lyra, troublesome as ever". "You're not taking him!" she yelled at the Pig. "No, of course I'm not. I'm taking you all. You'll all come. You, your child. You'll all live in comfort" "As hostages" "As heroes of the empire". Elliday looked to his wife "Lyra. Put it down" he said almost begging. Hamlin had an unreadable expression "Think very carefully" he said with a tone of a threat in his voice. Lyra looked to her husband, but she didn't lower the blaster. She looked back to Hamlin "You will never win" she said defiantly, "Do it" Hamlin said coldly and one of the troopers shot Lyra in the chest. As she falls, she fires a stray shot at Hamlin who gets hit in the arm. He falls to the ground in pain as Ellidy runs to his wife "Lyra!". He holds her body as he looks vengefully at Hamlin who stands back up while clutching his wounded arm "They have a child. Find her!". Nicole in shock from what she just saw quickly runs as fast as she can through the small ravine in the mountain. She makes it to a small, dank cave where she lifts a rock which is revealed to be a secret hatch. She quickly climbs inside before pulling it shut. She looks out through a small peephole in the hatch and she see's two troopers enter the cave in search of her. She holds her breath, both fear and sadness were beginning to take her but thankfully they left. She climbs down a ladder to a small bunker where she curls into a ball and starts crying into her knees.
She spent a day in the bunker while living off the supplies she managed to pack. She suddenly heard footsteps coming from above the hatch. She looked up in fear wondering who it could be when the hatch suddenly lifts away to reveal Harvey who looks down at her warmly "My child! Come. We have a long journey ahead of us".
