"Through My Eyes"

I wander day to night; Artemis shows me the way. These startling brown eyes see everything, the animals peaceful within their habitats. I creep closer as I hunt; I spot human beings. I dance to their music and drink their wine; chaos comes from nowhere. I run with the crowd; I sense their fear. I cry for those separated from loved ones; I sense pain and death. Ooh, Zeus! Please make it better; I see so many giving up. I look to the heavens; a spark of light appears. I feel a flutter of hope within my chest; I cry with happiness. I see a foundation slowly building itself; I wander among them. I see kindness and love flowing from one person to the next; a promise of reunion finally appears. I walk with them; my head held high. I was proud of them, an honor driven people reborn. I saw them run to their loved ones; they embraced one another so beautifully. I saw them turn together to head into a bright new future; my heart longed for the same. I spotted five young men; their hands held out in welcome. I closed my eyes; I sensed apart of myself within them. I slowly opened my eyes; they landed on one man. My heart soared to the heavens; I sensed my twin flame. I smiled and grabbed his hand; I went with them into the blinding light.
