Chapter 10

Alternate Peter arrived at the Queensboro Bridge in his Spider-Man suit. He looked to see Mary Jane standing on the highest point bridge. He began shooting webs and swinging towards her.

"No, Peter!" Mary Jane screamed. "It's a trap!"

Green Goblin zoomed by on his hoverboard, and broke Alternate Peter's web. Alternate Peter began plummeting towards the water.

"No!" Mary Jane screamed.

Green Goblin rushed by and grabbed Alternate Peter.

"Don't worry, Parker," Green Goblin said. "I have a better plan for you."

Green Goblin sat Alternate Peter down on the ground.

"Where's your spider friend?" Green Goblin asked.

"It's just me now," Alternate Peter replied.

"That's too bad," Green Goblin said is a fake sincere tone. "It really is."

Alternate Peter used his webs to tie Green Goblin to a pole.

"This ends here!" Alternate Peter shouted.

"What, Parker?" Green Goblin asked. "You gonna kill me? Would you really kill your best friend's father?"

"You've killed several people!" Alternate Peter shouted. "I'd like nothing better than to kill you! But, I'm not stooping to your level! You're going to prison."

Alternate Peter used his webs to swing onto the bridge. He then grabbed Mary Jane and swung with her to where Green Goblin still stood tied up.

"You lose," Mary Jane said.

A few minutes later, Alternate Peter and Mary Jane watched as an unmasked Norman Osbourne was taken into custody. A police officer walked over to them.

"Good job, Spider-Man," the police officer said.

"Thanks," Alternate Peter said.

Alternate Peter and Mary Jane watched as the police drove off with Norman.

"Where do you think they'll take him?" Mary Jane asked.

"There's this prison for supervillains called The Raft," Alternate Peter replied.

"I can't believe how easy it was to defeat him," Mary Jane said.

"Yeah," Alternate Peter said. "Too easy."

Alternate Peter gasped.

"Peter?" Mary Jane asked.

"He wanted to be captured!" Alternate Peter shouted.

Suddenly, a sound of an explosion occurred and the ground shook, knocking Alternate Peter and Mary Jane to the ground.

"Please tell me that wasn't…." Mary Jane started to say as they stood up.

"Mary Jane," Alternate Peter said. "You stay here."

Alternate Peter ran around the block to the remains of the police car the police car engulfed in flames.

"Oh no!" Alternate Peter shouted.

Alternate Peter ran to the car to see Norman laying mortally wounded on the ground. He then took off his mask and looked to see no one else in the car.

"Mr. Osbourne?" Alternate Peter asked. "Where are the officers?"

"I made them get out," Norman said weakly.

"I have to get you help," Alternate Peter said with tears streaming down his eyes.

"No," Norman said weakly. "You have to let me go. The only way to get rid of the Goblin is to get rid of me."

"No," Alternate Peter cried.

"Peter," Norman said. "You have to listen to me. I put a bomb in OSCORP Industries."

"What?" Alternate Peter asked.

"You only have ten minutes before it goes off," Norman said weakly. "It's in the basement. You have to stop it."

"I will," Alternate Peter cried.

"Go, Peter," Norman said. "Go now!"
