I started writing a Naruto-based fanfic named "Konoha Revolution" a few months ago. This is a rewrite of the same.
In case you all are wondering why I'm going for a rewrite, let me tell you that it's because I felt that I didn't start the original story in a proper manner and it would have been confusing for you to follow the events as the story progressed. I could see it happening.
A major change this time is that I want you all to understand how this fanfic will be structured. And I shall be doing that in this introductory chapter, instead of putting in "Author's notes".
Don't be mistaken. Many chapters will contain "Author's notes". However, what I am mentioning here won't be repeated.
So let's get going:
1) Chapters will be constant in the number of sentences they contain. "Author's notes", "pre-chapter notes" and "post-chapter notes" will not be considered part of the main story, even though they will contain useful information.
2) I've not decided how many chapters I'll need to finish this fic. And I'm not going to reveal how and at which point the series will end. Please keep reading to find that out.
3) I will be uploading chapters at the end of every month. I initially planned weekly updates, but my time constraints do not permit me to do that.
4) What will notes contain:
I) Pre-chapter notes: Responses to comments I might receive. I may not respond to all comments, so I apologise in advance to anyone who might feel left out.
II) Post-chapter notes: Any new Jutsus introduced in that chapter. I'll mention the name of the Jutsu (both in Japanese and English), it's type, it's elemental category (in case it's an elemental Jutsu), it's rank, and the clan it belongs to (in case it's a clan specific Jutsu).
III) Author's notes: Any part of the chapter which I feel needs more elaboration will be mentioned in Author's notes.
5) Let me make this clear: there will be no character bashing at all in this fanfic. Every character will get the respect they deserve. So if anyone is entertaining hopes of Sakura-bashing, Sasuke-bashing, Kakashi-bashing or the like, please get ready to be disappointed.
6) Naruto will be the central character in this fic, but not until several chapters have been completed. And that's not to say that the other characters will be sidelined.
7) There will be pairings for all important characters in this fanfic. However, I'll not reveal any pairings prematurely. It's no fun if you already know who's going to be with whom. Only thing I'll clear right here: No character will have more than one pairing, there will be no harem, and lastly, this is not a yaoi fic either.
8) I'll include romantic scenes, but don't expect to come across lemons. It's not that I hate lemons, but I know I'm bad at writing them.
9) Due to the first point, don't be surprised if the conclusion of an important event doesn't necessarily occur at the end of the chapter.
