After destroying the Halo ring, Ruby-117 has returned to Earth, home of Humanity, and received an armour upgrade as well as being commended by Lord Ozpin for her actions. While Blake 'Vadamee, supreme commander, is on trial for her failures to protect the Halo ring. The Covenant prepare to strike back while coming across Earth, humanity's homeworld. AU RWBY and Halo.

5. Future of this Story

Okay, so after a while of doing some thinking and looking at my plans, I have come to a decision.

I'm going to abandon my plans for doing all of the Halo games. For now, I'm just going to stick to doing only Halo 2, Halo 3 and Reach (in this case, it would be Halo Remnant wink wink). However, I'm simply not gonna do them the way I am currently. That being just retelling the Campaigns in story format, which someone did mention it wouldn't be as interesting. The decision also comes from numerous conversations I've had with people regarding this fic as well.

Instead, I'm gonna tell a different story but still following the general idea of the campaigns, and not completely brush them aside. For now, I'll focus on Halo 2. As I just mentioned, I'll tell it my own way but still going with the idea of the Covenant finding Earth, then going to Delta Halo and the Covenant civil war. As for the cutscenes, I'll simply just do them the way I did in this fic, but I'll try and make them fit with the rest of the fic; seamless integrations, if you will. Characters, they'll remain the same. Taking the roles of Halo characters BUT some Halo characters will remain present. The Faunus and Dust will remain the same, because I like the idea of them replacing the Sangheili and Dust working off Remnant.

Anyways, that's it. Once I finish the first chapter of this rewrite, I'll post the new, rewritten fic and delete this one. So, thanks for reading and take care! Also stay safe amidst these trying times!
