(1)+(44) ("good morning" kiss + tender kiss)
It was the morning after a really tough case, and they had the day off thankfully. This case had involved kids being killed in front of their parents, and it had them thinking about Henry. It has always been hard for JJ to go through these cases and not think of Henry, and now Emily understands why as well.
When JJ and Emily first got together Henry was still quite young and had always been like a nephew to Emily. Over time though, the bond between them had grown tremendously and they were an inseparable pair. Even though they weren't biologically related, Henry was as much her son as he was JJ's. Emily does whatever possible to protect her family, but when she sees the terrible things done to innocent people every day she can't help but think that her family could be next. On the plane back from the case yesterday they had just comforted each other as they called Henry to just hear his sweet voice and to remind them that everything was ok. Once they landed, they headed to Will's place to pick up Henry and take him home. All of them were wiped and ready for bed, since they got back pretty late, so they got Henry ready for bed and tucked him in. Both of them had given him a kiss on the forehead, but before they closed the door they admired how sweet he looked and that he was safe under their roof. After a while, their exhaustion crept up on them and they made their way towards their bedroom. JJ led the way and was holding Emily's hand the entire time, and once they made it to the bedroom Emily closed the door and then slowly spun JJ around in her arms. They just stood there swaying back and forth taking in each other's company. JJ was the first one that leaned in for the slow and tender kiss to show her love and Emily responded with one as well to let JJ know that she understood and that she felt the same way. When they broke away they just rested their foreheads on the other's and closed their eyes. A few years ago neither of them thought that they could be this happy, but here they are. After a few minutes of embracing each other, they started their bedtime routine so they could finally sleep.
Emily was the first one up as usual, and she did what she always did and took in the beauty that was laying next to her. She still can't believe that she's lucky enough to wake up next to the gorgeous love of her life. It was late enough by now that Henry would be waking up soon, so to wake JJ up so they could get breakfast ready she started kissing her shoulder and neck. JJ started moving around and waking up so Emily picked up the pace and with a smile, JJ rolled over. With her glorious morning voice JJ said, "Well good morning to you" and Emily responded with her equally glorious morning voice "Good morning baby". They cuddled for as long as they could without any disruptions from Henry, but a little later they could hear him making some noise in his room. This meant they had to unfortunately move from their very comfortable spot in their bed, but it wasn't terrible because they got to see their adorable kid's face. JJ got up first, but before she was able to make it too far Emily grabbed her arm and spun her around to give her a nice firm kiss and she said, "Let's get this day started hot mama". JJ just shook her head and laughed before she returned with a quick kiss and said, "Right back at cha sexy mama". They both left the room laughing heading to get Henry from his room, so they could start a great day off with their amazing kid.
