Hey guys! I had this idea to write about the last games, the ones with the Capitolites! Review and let me know what you think!

All around the Capitol, families that weren't injured in the recent bomb attack simultaneously gathered around their television screens to watch a message from their president.

The broadcast began with Caesar as all broadcasts always did, but Caesar took a step back without saying a word and a lady with pencil straight gray hair took a place beside him. No Capitolites had to discuss anything to know something was wrong. That was where President Snow stood, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"My dear Capitolites," the lady began, "My name is Alma Coin. President Snow is... indisposed at the moment, so I am taking his place as president temporarily."

"Now, my dear Capitolites," Alma Coin said again, "Nothing pleases me more than seeing you safe and happy. But sadly, this season of tranquility must come to an end."

"This year, in place of a Hunger Games taking tributes for districts, we will be making a change." A few painfully long seconds of silence built with suspense as she said nothing. Finally, Coin said, "In place of tributes from the districts, we will take 24 tributes from our very own Capitol."

Screams could be heard a street down. Glass broke, doors slammed, people crying, fainting. Nonetheless, Coin continued once more. "You've all watched the games. You know how they work. 12 boys, 12 girls between ages of 12 and 18. The horrors we experienced will now be put on your shoulders. The reaping will take place 2 weeks from now, July 4th. Be there." The broadcast then ended abruptly, leaving the screen staticky and emmiting a white noise.

The horrors weren't going to happen. They had already begun.
