Larry-boy And The Cure Of The Worm
Author's Note -
My very first chapter started the story as you can see today. I thank you guys for checking out the story as we go along this nice journey with Larryboy and the characters we all grew up with and loved. I promise not to steer clear completely from the lore as I go along each chapter (Were now close to the 4th chapter). Be sure to leave a like a review if you so choose. Keep in mind that if you see parenthesis throughout the story these are the author notes. Larryboy has battled rumors and fibs in the past so what can go wrong right? Well, a pink goo substance named Vegline 28 (inspired by events of COVID 19 without getting this story barred) has infected Bumblyburg and an older enemy named Awful Alvin was behind on his creation.
Chapter 1 - The Vegline 28 Virus
For years, a super suction ear superhero named Larryboy who fought fibs battled rumor weeds, and even met other town heroes along the way. His real-life name is Larry the cucumber who works at the Daily Bumble as a Janitor (the only job he can only qualify for or so his butler Alfred says).
There is a new enemy that is within Bumblyburg. Not Ms. Appley, nor Awful Alvin and his Lampy as he's been long since been recovering in the hospital of vegline 28 a rare veggie disease that makes vegetables grow muscle mass and has to keep calm and under surveillance to control the transformation urges.
The New enemy is the virus itself that victimized Awful Alvin that slithered its way into Alvin's lab via Larryboy's super suit as he was messing with the lab's test tubes that contained a swirling pink goo substance that's alive and acts as a worm. Not knowing that he released this odd creature into his super-suit he began fighting alien-like robots in the lab's entrance as he used his super suction ears to punch them to outer space to never be seen again.
The next day Bob The Tomato and his colleagues Junior and Vicky were planning out stories for that day's newspaper release. Larry like his usual self came in and did his daily janitorial duties as Bob states his idea for a news headline "A WEIRD ALIEN CREATURE HAS OVERTAKEN BUMBLYBURG"! "This sounds like a great idea ever since a prankster had a cop's mustache half-shaved and thrown in behind a garbage truck" (assuming it's Scooter the town sheriff).
The newspaper has been focused on the Larryboy stories about his accolades and jailing familiar crime in the past. The goo however has stowed away in Larry's floor mop and jumped onto Bob's drink. Not knowing what's in his drink Bob drank the worm without caution. Junior was expressing his opinions on the creature like he did with the previous villains in the past. "Yeah, the virus is no other".
"It wasn't created by either Awful Alvin or even Appley cause Appley has been isolated in an island jail". Before Bob has even expressed a single word about the headline his eye began to twitch a bit. Feeling thoughts of rage he properly excused himself to see if a speck of dirt had gotten to his eye. Right in the bathroom, he began changing from red to yellow and rapidly grows muscle mass on his body.
He began to destroy bathroom walls roaring and smashing The Daily Bumble out of blind rage. Larry however quickly ran to the other bathroom and turned to Larryboy. Against all odds, Larryboy resorts to his utility belt that's connected to his suit. Keep in mind that his butler Alfred has modified his belt from running to Larry cave's supercomputer (or running via Larrymobile's computer).
The belt has been updated to A.i and anti touch responses as Larryboy calls out a gadget in command. "Master Larry the virus had gotten to Bob at the Daily Bumble". His butler Alfred expressed as he appeared in Larryboy's mask.
"I have made modifications to the super suction ears to release a vaccine using a misty type structure". Not knowing half of what Alfred is even talking about the points the suction ear towards the Hulk Bob as the monster destroys the office with his massive arms and hands. "THE VEGLINE VACCINE AWAY"! Larryboy yells as a purple substance steams out of Larry's super suction ear towards Bob's path.
Feeling disoriented Bob feels dizzy and later changes to red and has shrunk back to his normal old self. "Where am i"? Bob looks up at Junior and Vicky as the firemen and the Bumblyburg Police show up as well as the Ambulance at the front of the company. "You have drunk the virus," Junior says as he barely gets Bob up "The virus that attacked Awful Alvin while he was making a worm-like serum that operated the Alien Robots".
Vicky says to Bob matter of factly. Moyer shows up to ask questions while Larryboy is nowhere near in sight.
