Everything is calm and still in a small field outside National City. It is approximately 3:30 in the morning and there is no sight of activity from the local homes. Suddenly, a large circular void opens above the center of the field and lightning sparks from it. Still spinning and sparking, a figure in a yellow suit steps out of the void, holding another figure in its arms, and seemingly vibrating in place.
The yellow-clad figure sets the other several feet from the void he stepped from and looks down at it. The yellow figure leans down and presses a hand, almost lovingly against the clearly feminine figure on the ground, stroking her cheek. The yellow figure turns slowly back to the void and walks up to it. Turning its head once more, it whispers, "I will come back for you. When it is safe and we have won." Then, the figure walks into the void and the void closes as though nothing had appeared in the first place. The woman on the ground shifts slightly, but stays unconscious.
The night continues on and no one knows of what just happened. The woman shifts again, and her eyes start to open. Blinking a few times, she looks at the sky and tops of trees that she can see from her position and then slowly sits up. The woman looks around briefly before seeming to understand that she is not where she once was, wherever that may have been. Starting to panic, the woman stands and spins around to see if anything looks familiar. The woman begins to breathe heavily and shake. "NO!" She shouts. Nothing but dogs barking answers her. She sinks to the ground in devastation. "No…" Allowing herself little time to grieve, she stands again and looks around for a road. Once she finds one, she quickly turns in the direction that has the most lights in the distance. She takes a deep breath and begins to walk.
Towards National City.
I know, I'm not really done with my other story, but to be fair, that one doesn't really have an ending.
I have been watching Supergirl for a while now and I feel like the fandom doesn't really have many ff's. So, I decided to remedy that. I may change this to a crossover if I have too many instances with the Flash, but we shall see. I will be doing the Crisis on earth-X episodes, so... watch out for that. I do not own anything other than my plot twists and characters. I also do not own the picture of the actress I chose to portray Penny. This is the prologue and the chapters will be much longer, I promise.
