A/N: I can't stop thinking about Cabenson, and as we know, I'm their #1 fan. ;) I don't know where this will go, but enjoy! It's going to be a little AU as usual, but will *try* to incorporate some realness. They are ENDGAME.
Feedback is always welcomed!

The first time she heard the name Alexandra Cabot, was from Elliot. He made her out to be this stone cold bitch, who was only in it for the money. He didn't think that Alex had what it took to be an ADA for SVU.
He had heard from the grapevine that she had connections, and he wouldn't be shocked if her connections got her to be where she is now at such a young age.
Olivia rolled her eyes. "We don't know what she's like, El. Wasn't she friends with Abbie? You liked her when she worked with us."
Olivia brushed off Elliot's negative comments. It would be nice to be working with a female ADA again. Women needed to stick together in this department. The job wasn't easy. It's not exactly what Olivia was expecting, but the more victims she helped, the stronger her urge to continue to fight for them grew.
Olivia had transferred into SVU two years after being a patrol officer. She knew what SVU had stood for, but she never really thought that she would end up here. With her history of her mother, and finding out what her "father" did to her, she tried to not think about it. She felt like this department might hit too close to home, or that she wouldn't be good at it. But she carried on, day by day. Helping others stand up for themselves, being the one to help them back to their feet. And she had to admit, it felt incredible to be that person to help someone after such a traumatic experience.
Elliot shrugged and looked at her. "We're a tight family here. You know that. We don't want bullshit and some shmuck that thinks they know it all, that's all I'm saying."
Alex had gotten, naturally, asshole vibes from the moment she met Elliot. She knew immediately that he was some hot shot cop who made it his way, or no way.
"Get used to me, Stabler." Alex rolled her eyes after him and Cragen had walked out of her office.
Alex was heading to the precinct to introduce herself to the rest of the crew. She had heard of Olivia, and was immediately intrigued by her. It was nice to see women on the force. It was still slow and coming for women to be police officers at this time. She hadn't seen her in the courtroom during her first SVU trial, just Stabler, Cragen, and John Munch. She had heard stories about Munch from her Uncle Bill, a federal judge. She knew that he would eventually grow on her.
"And I must be the bullshit shmuck, right?" Alex announced herself in the squad room that made Elliot groan.
"Nice to see you too, Detective." Alex smirked.
That immediately caught Olivia's attention. She turned and was stunned by the blondes beauty. She eyed her up and down and reminded herself to not drool.
"Counselor." Olivia stood up and smiled, "You must be Alexandra Cabot?" She questioned curiously.
Alex smiled. "Call me Alex, please. You're Olivia, I'm assuming?" She let out a light chuckle and extended her hand out to the detective.
Olivia nodded and shook her hand, "Welcome to SVU."
