2020 was supposed to be the best year for Tris, but it turned out to be the worst year ever. This gave her time to think about the situation, and she was okay with it. She realized if Tobias loved her, he would have left Nita a long time ago, but he didn't. Plus she came up with resolutions. Which was to end all sexual and mutual attachments with Tobias Eaton and to find a man who loves her, who isn't in a relationship. Also, she planned on still attending the party and looking the best as she can, so much she outshined the bride-to-be. New year's day.
It was New year's eve, the party started at 6:30 P.M. It was 3:43 p.m and Tris was starting to get ready. After hair and makeup, Tris slipped on her dress, put on her stilettos, and sprayed Chanel No. 5 on her neck, a perfume Tobias loved on her. She then stood in front of the mirror and checked herself out. She was so impressed with herself. Her makeup was simple, it consisted of foundation, concealer, highlighter, fake eyelashes, and deep red lipstick. Her hair was straightened, and tucked behind her ears, without any air sticking out. Her jewelry consists of medium length drop earrings, with an oval diamond, a simple light gold necklace with an oval-shaped diamond pendant, and the Tiffany & Co. diamond bracelet in gold, that Tobias bought for Tris on Valentine's day. But what made the outfit come together was the pearl white satin midi dress that hugged her body, it had an open back and spaghetti straps. She paired it with open toe, sparkly nude stilettos.
Tris was gonna be fashionably late. It was already 6:25 P.M., and the drive to Tobias's apartment is 20 minutes away. So Tris drove off, trying to get there as early as she could.

When Tris pulled up, a man opened up her door. She handed her keys to the valet so he can park her car somewhere else.
" The party is on the 15th floor, the penthouse." He informed her.
" Thank you", Tris said. She smiled, already knowing where to go since she has been there before. She entered the building, then the elevator, and some people joined her. Judging by their fancy outfits, they must also be there for the party.
The elevator ascends to the 15th floor, the doors open straight into the living room full of people. Tris walks out of the elevator, some eyes linger on her for a little bit as she through the crowd. A waiter comes by with a tray full of champagne, she grabs one flute and takes sips of the fancy champagne. She keeps scanning and walking through the crowd. She recognizes some of her coworkers. Then, one of them stopped in front of her.
" Hey Tris, you look gorgeous.", said Marlene.
" Thank you," Tris responded. They continued to talk to one another about work and their l, some people joining in.
" I'm gonna go get more champagne." Tris interrupted.
" Oh, can you also get me one", said Marlene.
Tris replied, "Sure".
Tris left, trying to find waiters that hold trays of a champagne flute. Then she spotted the bride-to-be, Nita Williams. Other than Tris herself, Nita was also wearing white, she was wearing a bright white cocktail dress that hugged her chest and black heels. Tris saw Nita glare at her for a few seconds. Tris didn't get the memo that no one else should be wearing white, other than Nita.
" She should've known that I was the only one who was supposed to wear white," Nita said.
" You look better than her anyway", one of her friends said. Nita scoffed,
" Yeah, I know".
" So when did Tobias propose to you". One of the other friends said, trying to change the subject.
Then Nita showed off her ring, and it was HUGE. Tris couldn't believe that a diamond could be that big. Nita's friends gasp at the diamond.
" He proposed last Tuesday, at dinner, he was so sweet and surprising". Nita said with pride. " He was gonna do it sooner or later, I mean we are soulmates." Nita was satisfied with her friend's jealousy and wore a proud grin.
After hearing that, Tris smiled and walked away, knowing that many hours before Tobias proposed to Nita. He was fucking Tris in one of the bathroom stalls at work.
Tris finally found the waiter and took two flutes off the tray, then returned to her conversation.
"There you are, Tris! What took you so long" Marlene asked.
" I got lost," Tris replied. That was a lie, Tris knew this place in the back of her head. She was fucked on every piece of furniture in this room. So she couldn't get lost.
"Oh, ok" and the conversations continue. Tris's mind starts to drift to Tobias. Where is Tobias? Tris thought to herself. Her eyes then start to drift to different areas, trying to spot Tobias.
She spots him talking to Zeke and Shauna. His eyes then met with hers across the room. God, he looks handsome. She thought Her eyes roamed his whole body. Tobias was wearing a fitted navy suit, with a white button-up, but the top left unbuttoned. She can imagine his muscles rippling under the shirt. " Hey, Tris you okay". Lynn interrupted. Tris snapped out of her imagination.
" Yeah, I'm just a little tipsy". Tris replied.
" Aren't we all. " Uriah butted in. Receiving a laugh from everyone.
" Um, I'm gonna go to the bathroom," Tris announced quickly.
Walking away from the group, she put her empty flute on one of the waiter's trays and headed towards the guest bathroom. Turning back to see Tobias walking in her direction.

Tris walked through many hallways, and finally reached the secluded bathroom and entered. She remembered this bathroom.
Flashback

Tobias sighs in relief and returns to a naked Tris laughing. He smiled, then took Tris by the waist, pushed her against him, swiftly entered her, and started to pound into Tris. Her laughter quickly turned into moans. He then lifted Tris and sat her on the sink, and started to thrust into her again. Tris starts to find the rhythm and moves her hips to his while pulling Tobias's hair. " Fuck Tobias," Tris moaned.

" I said someone is in here!"Tris turned back, to see the person she was just thinking about, Tobias. He closes the door and locks it. Tobias slowly walks towards Tris, trapping her against the sink." You look beautiful", Tobias whispered.
Tris started to become flustered, " T-Thank you, you look great too". Tris replied.
Tobias started to kiss her neck, then started to travel up to her lips, their tongues dancing with each other before Tris pulled away. Tobias then whispered, " Meet me at the balcony 20 minutes after 12." Tris nodded, checking the time. It was 10:45 P.M. Tobias left the bathroom leaving Tris flustered in the bathroom. Tris's head felt guilty, but her pussy was aching and fluttering. This was a horrible idea. But Tris decided to go anyway.

Let's start counting down to a new year with love!".
As people start counting down to 1, Tris sees people starting to grab their loved ones. She drowns in sorrow and loneliness as she has no one, and that she will never be loved. Then everyone screamed Happy New Year, as they kissed their lover. From far sight, she sees Tobias kissing Nita. Tris fights the urge to cry. There she was alone, sad, and watching the one man she loved to kiss another woman. Starting the year the worst way possible. She couldn't handle the sight, so she exited towards the balcony. Hoping that the cool air might dry her tears. She leans on the railing staring into the city view. It was beautiful. Tris enjoyed it for a few minutes. Closing her eyes and hearing the sound of joy in the air. Accepting the fact that she is now done with Tobias Eaton. Suddenly, Tobias comes out onto the balcony, wrapping his arms around Tris's waist, kissing her neck. Tris turned around catching her lips in his for a few minutes before pulling away. " Tobias, I'm done with you." She says.
"What. Why?" Tobias says shocked.
" Because you are engaged".
" Ok, and?"
Tris couldn't believe him. That when she started to get angry.
" And that you are going to get married! So it's time for us to stop now." Tris commands. " You are going to be a married man, and what am I going to be? Your mistress?" " I don't want that, I'm not some fuck toy you can play around with. I am a human being. I want to be loved and respected!" Tris whispered in anger.
" But I do respect you". Tobias says.
" No you don't, if you did we would have ended this affair a long time ago". Tris starts to leave, Tobias grabs her hand, trying to stop her from leaving him. " I need you," Tobias says.
" No, you don't. If you did, you would have proposed to me rather than to her. Goodbye Tobias Eaton". Yanking her hand away, and walking away from Tobias. Leaving him shocked on the balcony.
Tris walked through the party with confidence, entering the elevator. She picked up her car and drove home. Proud of how she handled the situation. Tris was gonna start new this year and be better than ever.
