A/N: This story is something I came up with late at night. This is based off of Heir apparent, a great story you should take a look at, however the only thing that will be similar is the beginning. As usual, I don't own CW, nor do I own DC comics.

"Oliver Queen is alive. The Starling city resident walked into the american embassy in China with an unknown woman. Oliver Queen was lost after the Queen's private jet was shot down over China 5 years ago. Robert Queen was shortly found however, Oliver Queen was nowhere to be found. Mr. Queen made headlines shortly before his disappearance due to his very public breakup with ex-fiance Laurel Lance. We here at Starling City News wish Mr. Queen a quick recovery."

Oliver Queen was standing in front of a window overlooking Star City. He had his arm wrapped around a petite chinese woman who was snuggled into his side. They were in the hospital due to concerns about his health after being missing for so long. The women looked up at Oliver and asked in mandrain {Are you alright love?}.

{I'm fine Shado. I'm just worried about what my family will think of you and the new me.} Oliver responded to the person now named Shado. He kissed the top of her head to assure her that he was fine. He was very concerned about their plan and how he would hide their nightly activities.

Outside the Hospital room, Moira and Robert Queen were standing outside the hospital room next to the doctor while looking into the room. They wondered who the woman that Oliver was holding onto was. They could see that he greatly cared for her, possibly more so than he ever did Laurel. They were contemplating what his closeness could mean when they were distracted by the doctor.

"Moira, Robert your son has scars covering 25% of his body. He also has ten fractures that never properly healed and a massive dragon tattoo on his back. We asked him what it was for, but he just stared at us before we moved on to the woman." Oliver's parents were concerned for him but wondered who the woman was. The Doctor continued seeing their curious faces.

"The woman's name is Shado Gulong. She is better than Oliver with only 15% of her body covered in scars and 3 fractures that never healed. We tried separating them but they fought for each other. I'd recommend keeping them together for now to help them for faster recovery. I'd like you to prepare yourselves. The Oliver you lost is not the one that was found." The doctor finished before heading off to another patient.

Oliver and Shado were looking out the window when they heard the door to their room open. They turned around to see Oliver's parents looking at them. Oliver started to tear up as his parents moved to hug him. He had missed them so much. "Come on we're taking you and Shado home. She can stay with us as long as you need." Oliver looked at Shado before grabbing her hand and heading out with his parents.

Once the four of them arrived at the Queen mansion, they got out of the limo as Oliver went around the back to open the door for Shado. When she got out, she took his hand and they made their way inside. Moira and Robert smiled at the display already knowing that they would support the two however they could. Everyone made their way inside the mansion and Raisa came into the front room to greet them.

"It's good to see you again Oliver." Raisa started as she went to give him a hug. "Just who might this young woman be?" Raisa questioned.

"This is my fiance Shado Gulong." Oliver said, raising Shado's hand to give it a kiss. Robert and Moira were shocked. They knew the two were close, but not that close. As Oliver delivered his statement, Thea arrived at the top of the stairs and saw Oliver. Oliver turned around to see who was on top of the stairs before being tackled by Thea.

"I knew it! I knew you were still alive! I missed you so much." Thea exclaimed holding onto Oliver as if her life depended on it.

Oliver smiled at her before saying, "You were with me the whole time."

Moira decided that now would be the time to speak up. "Tommy is visiting us for dinner. Why don't you two go up to your old room Oliver to clean up. We haven't changed a thing in your room." Moira smiled at the two before they headed off to his room.

Oliver and Shado were walking down the stairs when they saw Tommy Merlyn waiting for them in the foyer of the mansion. "I told you that you should've taken the yacht." Tommy said when he saw the two of them walking down for dinner.

"Tommy Meryln. I missed you so much." Oliver said before giving him a hug.

"Me too man. And who might this lovely lady be." Tommy said looking at Shado.

"This is my fiance Shado." Oliver said, taking her hand and shocking Tommy into silence before heading to the dining room.

"So, what did you miss. Black president, that's new. Sara disappeared for three years." Oliver looked at Tommy when he said that, "There's a maniac with a bow in the glades killing criminals that popped up." Tommy stopped when Oliver interrupted him.

"What do you mean Sara disappeared?"

"One day, about a year after you were gone, Sara just left with a note telling her family that she needed to find herself. She came back last year, but was different then when she left. She ended up joining the Police force with her father." Tommy said, shocking Oliver.

"What happened to you Oliver? Why did it take so long for you to return home?" Thea asked as everyone stopped what they were doing.

"I was recovering and trying to find myself." Oliver said as everyone contemplated what he said. "May I be excused?" Oliver questioned wanting to go.

"Hey, before you go, I want to take you two out to the city to see what's changed." Tommy said as Shado and Oliver looked at each other. Robert and Moira were shocked as they could see a silent conversation happening between the two before Oliver nodded his head.

"Yes. You may go." Moira said while looking at Thea with an accusatory look. As Oliver left, Shado decided to speak up.

"As you can clearly see, Oliver is different than when he disappeared. I'm going to go comfort him now." Shado then got up and left to go see Oliver.

Oliver Queen was confused; he woke in a bed before trying to get up and leaving the room to see where he was. However, the room was locked from the outside and he couldn't get out. The last thing he remembered was the plane going down before he blacked out when the plane hit the ground. He moved to sit on the bed when the door to the room opened and a woman with stark white hair walked into the room.

"Welcome to China Mr. Queen. My name is China White and you me your life. I will train you until you are competent enough to do missions for the Triad. Once you have done enough missions, you will be free to go back to your family. Oliver thought that he would be able to protect Thea after this was done. He had wanted to do more when the reporter accosted her, but didn't know how to fight.

"I accept your request." Oliver said when he looked up at China White.

Moira and Robert woke up when they heard thrashing coming from Oliver's room. They rushed over to his room and threw open his door. They saw Shado rushing over to him to wake him and hug him. For some reason, he was on the floor next to the open window. When Shado got to him Oliver reacted and went to punch Shado. However, Shado blocked it and pulled him to her to embrace him. She whispered something to him in Mandrain as Oliver calmed down and saw his parents in the room. "I'm sorry mom, dad. I was just a nightmare." He told them as he could see they were very worried. Robert looked at him and asked.

"Was it about the plane crash?" Oliver nodded as Robert moved to hug him. "It's ok Oliver. I still get them as well. We will do our best to help you get through them." Shado and Moira looked at each before they smiled at the scene in front of them.

Oliver, Shado, and Tommy were in Tommy's car driving through the glades. "So, what did you miss most. Drinks at the bar, Partying all night, or riding around town?" Tommy asked not wanting to mention meaningless sex with his fiance in the car.

"Thea is who I missed the most." Oliver while smiling.

"Your father sold his factory just in time. Why did you want to come down here anyways?" Tommy asked.

"No reason. I just wanted to see everything." Oliver said as he spotted a white haired female coming out of the factory. Shado saw her as well and smiled at the sight while squeezing Oliver's hand.

She leaned in and whispered to Oliver, {It's ok Oliver. We will see her again soon.}

Oliver just kissed her on the forehead before Tommy stopped at a restaurant to grab drinks. As they were walking back from lunch, a white van pulled up beside them and three men got out. They shot darts at three of them before they could react. Oliver's vision faded into black.

Oliver and Shado returned to consciousness at the same time. They looked at each other making sure they were ok before looking at their kidnappers.

The man with a taser facing Oliver spoke up "What do you know about the list?" Oliver stayed silent as the man tased him. This just made him even more mad. "If you don't answer our question, we'll tase your little girlfriend over there next," he said before tasing Oliver again. Oliver stayed silent looking up at a window overhead. The man went over to Shado before an arrow hit him in the heart killing him instantly. The other two looked around wildly before they were both killed by knives thrown out of nowhere. Finally someone in a green suit jumped down to release the three of them from their bonds. The person took off her hood and China White stared back at Oliver and Shado before moving over to kiss both of them.

"I missed both of you. You should really keep up your guard." She said, smirking at them.

"You know we can't show off our skills. It would defeat the purpose of keeping our skills a secret." Oliver said while giving China a hug. "Now go back to the lair we'll meet you there tomorrow."

Robert walked into the living room to see Shado and Oliver talking to a couple of police officers, one of them being Quentin Lance. "You two stay safe now. I'm happy for your return Oliver and I'm sorry for being so harsh on you before you left. Laurel explained everything to me." Quentin said, smiling at Oliver. Oliver was stunned that Quentin was so nice to him before seeing his father walk into the room.

"What happened to them Quentin?" Robert asked, wondering what went on.

"They were kidnapped by some thugs, but were rescued by the vigilante that's been running around. They said they didn't get any details from the vigilante. Now I need to go do a report." Quentin told him before walking out of the room.

Robert walked over to the two on the couch to hug them. "Are you two ok?" he asked them.

"Yes we are going to be fine." Oliver replied.

"Did you get any information from the two?" Moira asked, talking into a disposable phone.

"No. All of our men were killed by that damn vigilante." someone on the other side said.

"There are other ways to get information out of them. You will not be paid because you failed your job." Moira said before hanging up.
