I do not own Fairy Tail
Chapter 1
Once upon a time in the land of Fiore, there was a king named Jude who ruled a large and mighty realm called the Celestial Kingdom. King Jude was a great ruler. He and His wife, Queen Layla, led their people with kindness and strength and in return the kingdom and its citizens prospered and were happy. But both the king and queen were sad because they both had continuously failed to have a child. One day, Queen Layla blessed Jude with a child. A daughter, and he thought just like her mother, she was the most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes on. His daughter's birth brought him so much joy and love for both his wife and child and he counted his stars how lucky he was. They named her Lucy. Lucy had golden locks that shined like the sun and big doe eyes the color of chocolate surrounded by long lashes.
Queen Layla grew very ill shortly after giving birth to their daughter and after weeks and weeks of a weakening illness, Queen Layla passed away.
The only rejoice King Jude could find in this sad time was his daughter, Princess Lucy, and her smiles and squeals of delight.
Kings and Queens came from all around to give their condolences to King Jude but to also meet the princess and give gifts to the child. Among them was another widower, King Igneel, of the Dragon Kingdom and his son, Prince Natsu.
It was then as Natsu was presenting a star locket to the infant Lucy, that King Jude and King Igneel came across the same idea. The brilliant idea was that Natsu and Lucy would one day wed. The kings decided that they would bring Natsu and Lucy together each summer in hopes that the two would fall in love and join their kingdoms.
Unknown to them was another plan that belonged to the evil wizard, Hades. You see, the birth of Lucy didn't really concern Hades. While the kingdom was grieving their queen's death, Hades was getting ready to attack and take over the Celestial Kingdom by using dark techniques and demons from the book of Zeref.
The evening before the take-over was to begin, King Jude foiled the dark mage's plans and sent a group of magic knights to attack Hades. Hades' mission to take over the kingdom failed and King Jude, despite his citizens urging for Hades' to be executed, banished him from the Realm.
"I'm have yet to finish with you King Jude! One day my magic will be stronger and when it is everything you own and everything you love will be mine!" Hades' threatened.
"Leave. And don't you dare come back. You have disgraced this kingdom," King Jude said sternly.
Hades' turned around with an evil smirk and began his banishment. Many citizens in the Celestial Kingdom thought their King was too kind. They believed that the death of his wife and the want and need to keep his daughter and his kingdom safe outweighed what they thought the danger of Hades' could be.
Over time, Hades' threat was forgotten and everyone began to hope about the future and the day that Prince Natsu and Princess Lucy would meet.
