The second day of their vacation ended with another trip to the casino. Jane found that Maura was her lucky charm as she won one round after the other at Roulette. After having enough two hours later she grabbed her win and her woman's hand and invited her to the adjoining room. There was a bar and distinctively more people than in the casino. Ready to protect Maura from the crowd, she tugged on her girlfriends' hand to walk towards the exit. But Maura surprised her by staying put.

"Let's have a cocktail." The blonde smiled calmly and pointed to two vacated chairs at the counter. "Oh, okay. I just thought you wouldn't feel comfortable." Jane apologized and Maura smiled. "Thank you for always being so thoughtful Jane. But I already feel comfortable enough by your presence."

Jane nodded and sat down next to Maura who reached out for the cocktail menu. Maura suggested that she would find a cocktail for Jane and vice versa. It was supposed to promise fun and Jane agreed, studying the menu thoroughly. Her face lit up when sie thought that she had found the perfect cocktail for Maura.

Maura gave her a challenging grin and Jane replied to it with the same. She knew that Maura wasn't a particularly competitive person like her, but the blonde loved to give her a good challenge and Jane appreciated their little duels which usually ended with her loosing. But it didn't matter as long as she was with Maura. They ordered the cocktails and turned to look at their surroundings. The bar was cramped, and it seemed as if all the women were squeezing in on the dancefloor as the fast and loud music filled their ears.

The woman from the pool waved at the couple and both waved back. Loads of rainbow flags were plastered over the walls and Jane wondered what decoration they used on a hetero cruise. So far, she hadn't discovered anything special except for the decoration and the instructors. Maybe it wasn't needed though as the people were constantly celebrating their lifestyle.

A small smile crossed her face as she grabbed the cool drink in her hand. Judging by the glass it was something strong. It was safe to assume that it was going to make her drunk. She had ordered something soft and sweet for the doc who sniffed carefully at the glass. The color of the beverage was pink which was strangely shimmering in the dim light of the room.

"Let's hope that this isn't radioactive." Maura said with a serious face and Jane cringed. But then the blonde broke out in laughter and Jane played offended. "A joke? Really Maur?"

Maura seemed mighty pleased to have pulled that on Jane and grinned. "Was it good?" the doc who tried to improve her skills asked and Jane smiled. "Yeah, you had me." She admitted and Maura imitated her fist bump.

The dancefloor slowly vacated when a slow song began to play. It separated the singles from the couples as Jane noticed. Her eyes met Maura's and she gallantly held out her hand. "Would you like to dance with me?" she asked in a soft tone and the blonde nodded while already sliding off the bar stool. They were like fish swimming against the stream as most of the women walked towards the bar or the bathrooms after an extensive dance session.

Jane saw her from earlier confirmed that most of the guests were singles, and here on the cruise to find their significant other. Jealous glances followed them to the dancefloor. Jane ignored them easily and wrapped her arms around Maura. She could still smell the salty scent from spending the day outside. It was mixing up with the doc's delicate perfume. The pilot felt the smaller woman's cheek nestle against her neck and gave a happy sigh as their bodies automatically fell into a rhythm while dancing.

The pilot wasn't sure if she remembered correctly, but she was pretty sure, that she had once read, that couples that matched in bed also were a match on the dancefloor. She could only sign this and added in her mind, that they were also great at kissing.

R&I

Upon returning from the bathroom the next morning, Jane caught a worried look from Maura. When she had left the bed, the doc had been fast asleep, but now Maura was propped up against some pillows and the headboard of their bed and greeting her with a wide smile that had chased the worried glance away. How people could be in such a good mood so early in the morning and right after waking up eluded Jane. She limped the few steps back into the bedroom and dropped onto the mattress with a groan.

She wouldn't consider herself being a person who was in a bad shape, but her muscles hurt from the scuba dive the previous day. Maura in return looked totally fine and was amused now. "Shall I give you a massage?" the blonde asked but Jane who was now laying on her back shook her head. Today would be the second part of the diving class and despite Maura offering to stay in for the day Jane insisted on going back into the water.

They had seen the tortoises but what about the exotic fish? The pics on the pamphlet looked nice and Jane wanted to see them as well. Hence, she clenched her teeth and returned to the peer where their boat was. Thankfully, another couple wanted to switch teams, so they got to join the blonde instructress. Full of hope to learn new things Jane boarded the boat and relaxed during the short drive to another reef.

Maura sat next to her, and they enjoyed the scenery for a while. The water had the perfect temperature and Janes body relaxed as her body slid into it. Maybe she wasn't only an air person after all she thought as they left the surface. She immediately saw that there was more life under water at this place than at the other and soon she found herself surrounded by the most beautiful fish she had seen in her entire life.

But what got her really excited was the wreck of a sunken ship. It wasn't the titanic of course and not even nearly as big but it was tempting to explore a little bit of the inside. Maura followed her reluctantly into the cabin. The steering wheel was still in place and Jane tried to turn it. But it wouldn't move.

When she saw something move in a cupboard next to the steering wheel though she got curious. Then frightened when a water snakes head peeked directly at her. Jane wasn't afraid of many things. But snakes and spiders always had potential to make her run. In a sense of panic, she wanted to get away as far as possible from the animal. But not being used to the diving gear, she had a hard time. Meanwhile the snake moved closer. Jane suddenly felt a hand pulling her away from the animal and when she turned, she saw the blonde instructress. Maura had seen her swimming by with the rest of the group and alerted her by signing with her hand.

Even the beautiful tortoise that swam by couldn't save this excursion for Jane. At least she was still in shock until they had to return to the boat ten minutes later. Paranoid she kept turning to see if the snake was following her, feeling like a nutball. Then when it was time to leave, Maura took her hand and made her turn.

It was just beautiful. The water was shallow, and the sunlight was making the water look blue green. Jane saw the sandy ground which was covered with stones and corals. And she saw fishes in all sorts of colors. She saw what she had come for and suddenly the dark shadow from the earlier experience lifted and she smiled widely.
