Chapter 28: Le Restaurant Kiss Land, Part 4

Jolanta and Marcelina went outside of Le Restaurant Kiss Land and saw Maja, but they also saw balloons floating near her and near Jolanta and Marcelina.

"There's no party here." Jolanta said. "Looks like she's the one that's gonna host one, but no, just some random balloons."

Maja then had one of the balloons hover towards Jolanta and Marcelina.

"I don't like this, already!" Jolanta said as she and Marcelina walks away from the balloon that was following them, but there was another balloon behind them and it touched Jolanta's back. "Huh?"

Then, the balloon behind Jolanta and Marcelina exploded, pushing away Jolanta and Marcelina to the other balloon that Maja had followed them. When Marcelina's right shoulder made contact with the balloon, that balloon also exploded, pushing them to the ground.

"Ugh! What the hell was that?!" Jolanta shouted. "Why did those balloons explode?!"

"Those balloons are part of my Stand!" Maja said as her Stand appeared next to her. "House Of Balloons!"

When Jolanta and Marcelina took a deep breath, House Of Balloons used the air they are sucking to create two more balloons and have them be in front of Jolanta and Marcelina.

"Gaah!" Jolanta shouted as she and Marcelina avoided the balloons. "Shit… Ok, I think we can breathe now…"

"Jesus… What was that?" Marcelina said. "Her Stand sucked out the air that we were supposed to breathe from and turned it into an explosive balloon."

Maja turned to the balloons she had made.

"This is a trick my House Of Balloons can do." Maja said. "My House Of Balloons will steal the air you two are breathing in to make these balloons that will explode when you two physically interact with it."

"There are a lot of balloons surrounding the counter lady..." Marcelina said to Jolanta. "There's… 1, 2… 9 of them…"

"9… Maybe that's the maximum number of balloons she can have near her…" Jolanta said to Marcelina. "And something is off here…"

"Eh?"

"She's not even interacting with these balloons near her… If those balloons are explosive, then why aren't they interacting with her and exploding in the first place?!"

"I don't know! This is very confusing…"

"Looks like we're gonna have to have her physically interact with those balloons…"

Maja looks at Jolanta and Marcelina chatting with each other.

"Hey! You're killing the patience I have!" Maja shouted.

"Looks like she wants us to take her on…" Marcelina said as she sighed. "But, let's start her game, Jolanta."

Cherry Bomb and Jukebox Ghost appeared near Jolanta and Marcelina.

"And I'll be having us heal one another too." Marcelina said as well.

"Yes, let's go Cherry Bomb!" Jolanta shouted.

Jolanta and Cherry Bomb then approached one of the explosive balloons.

"If I can't touch these balloons, then maybe Cherry Bomb can touch these balloons to protect me from the explosion." Jolanta said.

As Cherry Bomb interacted with the balloon, it moved back.

"What the?" Jolanta wonders. "Looks like Cherry Bomb isn't affected by the balloon, but rather affects the balloon…"

Jolanta and Maja then saw the balloon that was repelled by Cherry Bomb interact with another balloon. Both balloons exploded, creating a bigger explosion and pushing back the other balloons, Maja, Jolanta and Marcelina.

"What the hell just happened?!" Maja shouted as she saw Jolanta and Marcelina without the balloons next to her blocking her path. "Damn it… One of those two must have done something shady…"

Maja then has House Of Balloons use two more balloons to approach Jolanta and Marcelina.

"They better take them down this time." Maja said. "Go my balloons! Blow them away!"

Jolanta and Marcelina saw the two balloons heading towards them.

"Jukebox Ghost!" Marcelina shouted as Jukebox Ghost appeared. "Shield me and Jolanta from those balloons!"

When Jukebox Ghost shielded Jolanta and Marcelina, one of the balloons slowly but surely went through the barrier.

"Oh come on!" Marcelina shouted. "It's heading towards us!"

"Let me take care of that!" Jolanta shouted as Cherry Bomb appeared in front of Jolanta to push away the balloon. "I'm pretty sure my Cherry Bomb can have some of the opposite reaction since it also has explosives as its powers."

"Eh… I don't know what that means, but I guess that makes sense?"

The balloon then touched the other balloon and caused a big explosion, pushing back Jolanta and Marcelina. Maja saw what had happened.

"Heh heh! Dumb move they have made this time! Still in the game!" Maja said.

Jolanta and Marcelina slowly got up after the explosion knocked them back.

"We can still fight…" Jolanta said. "Just know it! And I know how!"

Jolanta turned to Marcelina.

"Marcelina, stay behind me." Jolanta said. "Use Jukebox Ghost to shield us when her Stand gets closer."

"I don't know what you're gonna do, but I'm in it." Marcelina said.

Jolanta and Marcelina then went through the balloons to get to Maja. House Of Balloons appeared.

"Breathe near my House Of Balloons and it will steal the air you're gonna inhale into some balloons of its own!" Maja said.

Jolanta and Marcelina were about to inhale.

"Ah! Knew that was gonna happen!" Maja shouted. "Now, House Of Balloons!"

When House Of Balloons used its ability, it didn't had any effects.

"Huh?! What gives?!" Maja shouted.

Marcelina smiled.

"Looks like you were right, Jolanta…" Marcelina said. "My Jukebox Ghost's shield can defend us from her Stand after all…"

"Your Stand can create a shield to prevent my House Of Balloons from stealing your source of air?!" Maja shouted.

"Yes, apparently."

Jolanta looks at the balloons surrounding her, Maja and Marcelina.

"There's a weakness to these balloons." Jolanta said.

"What weakness?!" Maja shouted.

"Although these balloons don't affect my Stand or your Stand, since they possess explosive powers, I can also see you being affected by the balloons your Stand creates." Jolanta replied. "The same ones that interacted with me and my friend!"

"Bullshit!"

"Bullshit? Looks like we'll find out…"

Jolanta and Marcelina then went away from Maja and her House Of Balloons. Cherry Bomb then had one of the balloons be repelled from its interaction. It then headed to the balloons near Maja.

"Shit! It's gonna blow up with the other balloons when making contact!" Maja shouted. "I gotta get out of this area!"

Maja then run away from the balloons as the specific balloon Cherry Bomb has pushed it away and blows up with the other balloons, making a huge explosion. That huge explosion then pushed Maja to the side of Le Restaurant Kiss Land.

"Ow!" She said, "That wasn't supposed to happen!"

She then saw Jolanta walking towards her.

"Please don't hurt me!" Maja shouted.

"I will, but only a little." Jolanta said as her Cherry Bomb appeared to get rid of the electrical pin from her neck and crushed it.

Maja then fainted.

"Looks like she's out of the blue for now…" Jolanta said.

She carries Maja and walks to Marcelina.

"Let's head back to the restaurant." Jolanta said. "And we can wait for these three ladies to wake up."

"Right." Marcelina said. "And I'll have Jukebox Ghost heal you all up."

Jolanta and Marcelina then headed back inside Le Kiss Land Restaurant.
