Chapter 36: Lonerism, Part 2

~FLASHBACK OCCURRED TO JULY 10TH, 2021~

Marcelina Bagella was another one of Rostek's allies and member of The Surviving Peacemakers. She first met her best friend Zegar when she was only 16 while Zegar was 15. It was a sunny day. Marcelina was walking alone until a boy that's the same age as her stops her in her path.

"Hey! Looks like Bagel over here is walking all alone!" He said.

"Leave me alone…" Marcelina said as she tries to go around the boy, but the boy blocked her from entering.

"Sorry, but you gotta pay up! Got any dollar bills?"

Marcelina was silent. She didn't know what to say.

"Well?" The boy said.

"I… Can't…" Marcelina said as she tried to push through the boy. "HELP!"

The boy grabbed Marcelina by her left arm.

"See what happens when you don't pay up the toll?!" The boy shouted as he raised up his fist. "You're gonna be in deep trouble!"

"HEY!" Another boy shouted.

Another boy entered out of nowhere and pushed the boy that was bullying Marcelina to the ground, which was Zegar.

"Leave her alone, damn it!" Zegar shouted. "How do you feel if someone is picking on your sorry ass?!"

"Get off of me!" The boy shouted as he pushed him off.

Zegar looked at Marcelina.

"Go! I'll meet you on the other side!" Zegar shouted.

Marcelina nodded as she ran away.

"Hey! Get back here!" The boy shouted, but was stopped by Zegar. "Get off of me, damn it!"

The boy and Zegar then fought each other out. Marcelina meanwhile was out of breath as she was away from the fight.

"Who… Was that… Boy… That saved me?" Marcelina wonders. "Will he share a bond with me? I hope so… I have never been friends with anyone in my life, so I hope he's the first to be my ally…"

~JULY 28TH, 2021, 5PM~

Marcelina was sitting on a bench in a park.

"Just who was that boy from 18 days ago?" Marcelina wonders. "Will he and I bump into each other again or not?"

Someone was walking towards Marcelina and tapped on the bench. Marcelina turned to see that it was Zegar.

"O-Oh! It's you!" Marcelina said.

"Tak… Can I sit here?" Zegar asked.

"Sure."

Marcelina then moved to one side of the bench while Zegar sat on the other side.

"My name is Zegar Kowalski, by the way." Zegar said. "You seemed nice. What's your name?"

"Thanks…" Marcelina replied as she blushed. "Ahem… My name is Marcelina Bagella. That bully you saved me from called me Bagel only because my last name is similar to a bagel…"

"Oh… That's kinda mean, but also clever."

"It is, but it was mostly mean… He said it to piss me off…"

"Oh… Hey, do you live alone?"

"No, I have a sister. She's older than me and knows that I'm away most of the time…"

"I have no family members… I was in an orphanage home, but it got demolished by an unknown criminal… It took my brothers, sisters, and adopted parents..."

"I feel sorry for you, Zegar…"

"Same here… But you don't have to worry about that… I live with a close friend of mine… His name is Rostek. Do you want to come visit today?"

"Uhh… Sure, I got nothing else to do… I already ate my dinner, so I'm good."

~5:15PM~

Zegar and Marcelina were outside of Rostek's house.

"I hope he gets to know you well." Zegar said. "Let's go in."

Zegar then knocks on the front door. Rostek opened the front door.

"Zegar, nice to meet you back here." Rostek said as he looked at Marcelina. "And who's that?"

"Marcelina." Zegar replied. "She's a new friend of mine. Can she come over here for a few hours?"

"Eh… Sure."

Marcelina was staring at Rostek.

"Come on in." Rostek said.

"Ahh! Uhh… Shit, sorry." Marcelina said as she went inside.

"Wait for me!" Zegar said as he also went inside.

And with that, this is how Zegar and Marcelina got to know each other and were the first two members of the team Rostek had formed. Years later, they then achieved their Stands, Time After Time and Jukebox Ghost. Unfortunately, Zegar wouldn't last after Sara Krew, the leader of The Bad Blood Organization had killed him. Now his body is being buried underground in a cemetery a girl was in.

"Looks like he won't be in Rostek's team anymore…" She said as she walked away.

~FLASHBACK END~

Jolanta and her friends were walking until Jolanta caught up to them.

"Hey, do you guys know if your Stands can learn new abilities?" Jolanta wonders. "Because my Cherry Bomb has this one ability years ago, and I forgot about it…"

"Hmm… I'm sure your Cherry Bomb still remembers it." Rostek replied. "I mean, as long as they show enough potential."

Then, Marcelina stopped walking as she was seeing something.

"Gah! It's back again!" Marcelina shouted.

Jolanta and her friends turned to Marcelina.

"Shit, that Stand again!" Jolanta shouted. "Kwiat, Rostek, you two go find the User!"

Kwiat and Rostek nodded as they both walked away.

"Don't worry, Marcelina!" Jolanta shouted. "I'm right here, but you can't see me when you're in the illusion!"

"I guess…" Marcelina said.

Jolanta then felt Lonerism's ability affecting her.

"Gah! It got me!" Jolanta shouted.

Inside Jolanta's point of view, she's looking around in the mist.

"I can't see the street I am in with Marcelina again…" Jolanta said. "Where the hell is the User at?!"

Then, Jolanta felt something uncomfortable.

"Gah!" Jolanta shouted as she blushes and have Cherry Bomb punch something that was behind her. "MUDA!"

Jolanta then saw nothing.

"You felt that, huh Jolanta?" Shary asked as Jolanta saw him combing his hair.

"You disgusting piece of shit!" Jolanta shouted as Cherry Bomb tried to punch him, but Shary faded to mist.

"Come now, Jolanta…" Shary said. "We're already friends, yes? Let's get to know each other a little more…"

"There's no way I'm friends with you or your perverted bullshit!"

"Ha ha ha! You crack me up, but since you said those words, I'll make sure you regret it."

Then, Jolanta felt the walls of the mist slowly coming towards her.

"Gah! What the hell?!" Jolanta shouted.

"My Lonerism will make the area of your point of view smaller. The less space you are in, the more life will be drained from you!" Shary said. "Have fun being in heaven with Zegar and Marcelina!"

Jolanta looked down.

"What a pathetic one…" Jolanta said to herself. "Cherry Bomb… I suppose you still remember the ability a couple of years ago? Try to use it now!"

Cherry Bomb appeared to summon a small red ball with an angry and smiling face on it, and it has the same face as Cherry Bomb. The red ball was then shot out by Cherry Bomb from its point finger and thumb to go all over the misty area.

"Interesting… This is what it was long ago… I must have never focused on it a lot back then…" Jolanta said as she saw the red ball approaching somewhere on her left. "There it goes!"

Jolanta then ran in the same direction the red ball went.

"Where is it going?" Jolanta wonders.

In Marcelina's mind, she saw Lonerism closing the area she was in.

"No! I can't!" Marcelina shouted as her Jukebox Ghost's shield was slowly breaking.

"It seems you and Jolanta's time are up." Lonerism said. "To the afterlife you two go…"

Then, Lonerism heard something.

"Huh?" Lonerism wonders. "Is that… Jolanta?"

Then, Marcelina's mind started to shake.

"Woah! What is this?!" Marcelina shouted.

Then, a light shined. Marcelina closed her eyes. Opening her eyes a few seconds later, she was back in the real life world, same for Jolanta.

"Jolanta!" Marcelina shouted. "What happened?!"

Jolanta looks at Marcelina.

"Marcelina!" Jolanta shouted. "I know how we can defeat the User of this crazy Stand! I used an ability Cherry Bomb had long ago without me even realizing what it was until now!"

"Ok, that's cool, but where is the User?!" Marcelina shouted.

"Damn it! Just turn around!" Shary shouted.

Jolanta and Marcelina both saw Shary and his Stand, Lonerism.

"You two are pissing me off right now!" Shary shouted. "How the hell did your Cherry Bomb did something like that?!"

Jolanta smirked.

"What? This?" Jolanta asked as her Cherry Bomb shot out another angel red ball at a wall and it then bounced to Shary's right hip.

"Ahh!" Shary shouted as the red ball exploded, damaging his right hip.

Shary was then on the ground.

"F-Fuck… What the hell…" Shary said. "I shouldn't have Lonerism protect me… Wait… That wouldn't even work since it bounced off a wall and to my right hip!"

Shary then looked up to see Marcelina walking towards him.

"W-Wait! Marcelina!" Shary shouted. "I-I was just kidding! Yes! I had a fucked up mind! That's all! I apologize to you two girls! Forgive me?"

Marcelina then had Jukebox Ghost appeared to make music near Shary. Then, Shary felt weak.

"My muscles… What… is happening?" Shary said softly.

"I don't want you to cause more harm to me and Jolanta, so think of this as Jukebox Ghost's healing ability, but the opposite." Marcelina said.

Jukebox Ghost then carried Shary up.

"Now to finish you off!" Marcelina shouted as Jukebox Ghost then performed a rush attack on him. "Take this!"

One last punch from Jukebox Ghost sent Shary flying to the street. Marcelina took a deep breath and called back Jukebox Ghost.

"There… All better…" Marcelina said.

Rostek and Kwiat were then seen.

"Ah! There he is!" Rostek said as he saw Shary on the street, heavily hurt. "What happened?"

Rostek and Kwiat then saw Marcelina and Jolanta and ran over to them.

"You two alright?" Rostek asked.

"Yes." Marcelina replied. "Jolanta helped me out there."

"Yeah, I let her have the final blow on his sorry ass." Jolanta replied.

"Ok, thank you two." Rostek said. "Now that that guy over there is out of the way, let's go to Warsaw. Let's see if we can get a taxi somewhere…"

While they were walking, Shary slowly got up.

"Shit… I'm not done yet…" Shary said as he saw them walking. "Marcelina… Don't worry… There is someone that you might know that will assassinate you and Jolanta… Heh heh…"

Then, Shary heard a car horn.

"What the heck?" Shary wonders.

Shary then turned around to see a car driving fast.

"AHHHH!" Shary shouted.
