Chapter 38: A Familiar Sniper, Part 2

"You two know each other?!" Rostek said.

Marcelina looked away.

"Yes…" Marcelina replied, scared. "He… He… I can't say it!"

"Looks like the cat got your tongue…" Mordero said. "Don't worry, I'll say what is what…"

Mordero puts his left hand behind his head.

"When we were in high school, I was the one that picked on her… The only one, apparently." Mordero said. "I gave her a nickname to piss her off, "Bagel" was it?"

Marcelina was shocked and blushed.

"Shit! He remembered it too!" Marcelina shouted. "I can't believe it… How did you find me?!"

Mordero smiled.

"Well, ever since Zegar pinned me down, I decided to have a chance to pick on someone else… I mostly picked on the innocent ones, whenever they are a guy or a girl, that includes you Marcelina." Mordero said.

Marcelina sighed.

"Yes… I was an innocent one in high school…" Marcelina said. "I never really made friends until Zegar showed up…"

"And now where is he?" Mordero asked.

"Well… He's… Gone." Marcelina replied.

"I see… Sorry for your loss…"

"You're sorry? I never thought you'd be sorry over my loss…"

"Listen… I'm a changed man… Ever since I got arrested for taking part in those raids in the capital, Sara granted me a Stand for me to take action against those that would cross to this city through a peculiar checkpoint. Unfortunately, it seemed that you and your friends were the first to arrive, Marcelina…"

Marcelina sighed.

"Oh well… I gotta do what I gotta do…" Mordero said as he got out his sniper rifle. "Thanks to Sara for getting me out of jail and obtaining these powers of a Stand, I get to show you all what it's like being a sniper and an assassin."

Mordero's sniper rifle then started a transformation.

"What the hell?!" Jolanta shouted.

"His rifle might be his Stand…" Rostek said. "And it's turning into something! But what?"

Mordero's sniper rifle then fully finished its transformation, however it wasn't a sniper rifle anymore, but rather a longsword.

"Yes, my sniper rifle is now a longsword." Mordero said. "That is what my Stand, Long View, is capable of doing…"

Mordero draws out Long View.

"Shall we?" Mordero said to the Surviving Peacemakers.

Mordero then launches forward with Long View at his grip.

"Get him, Cherry Bomb!" Jolanta shouted as Cherry Bomb appeared to punch Mordero. "MUDA!"

Long View then blocked Cherry Bomb's punch.

"Heh… Not bad for an ally of Marcelina's…" Mordero said. "I'll save you for a second kill."

"Excuse me?" Jolanta said.

"You're excused."

Mordero then lets go and attacks Cherry Bomb with Long View by slashing its body.

"ACK!" Jolanta shouted as she took the damage.

"Jolanta!" Marcelina shouted as she came over to her to protect her. "Are you ok?"

"Yes… He cut me pretty badly…"

Mordero then draws back his Long View like an actual sword.

"Go ahead and heal her up." Mordero said to Marcelina. "I'm not here for her. I'm here for you. Meet me on the rooftops when you are prepared."

Mordero then walks away.

"Hey! Get back here!" Kwiat shouted as Sound Garden appeared.

Rostek stops her.

"No… He's just gonna damage you too…" Rostek said.

Kwiat took a deep breath.

"Damn it… Fine…" Kwiat said as she called back her Sound Garden. "Guess Marcelina is his opponent…"

"And his only one, unfortunately." Marcelina said as Jukebox Ghost was healing Jolanta through music.

"Well… Looks like he's being serious…" Rostek said.

Jolanta got up after being fully healed.

"Thanks." Jolanta said.

Marcelina sighed.

"You're welcome, I guess…" Marcelina said as she got up as well. "And since I gotta do a one-on-one on this guy, it's gonna be terrible and embarrassing at the same time…"

"We'll be right here with you, Marcelina." Kwiat said. "Hopefully you'll pull through…"

"Yes, we can't lose our trusty healer." Rostek said.

Marcelina smiled and chuckled a bit.

"You three are too kind…" Marcelina said as she took a deep breath. "Alright… Let's get this over with…"

While the Surviving Peacemakers make their way to Mordero on the rooftops, a woman was watching them, while on clutches.

"They're fighting the sniper…" She said, "Looks like we'll have to wait…"
