Chapter one - Finding her monk
Where'd you wanna go
How much you wanna risk
Im not looking for someone with some
Superhuman gifts
Some superhero, some fairytale bliss
Just something I can turn to
Someone I can miss
I want something just like this
I want something just like this
"go," merlin said to her gently, "go find him."
Nimue started and looked over at her father sheepishly. "I don't know what you mean," she said stubbornly.
He smiled at her gently, "go and find your weeping monk love, you deserve to be happy, you both have suffered so much, if you can make each other happy, that's all we ask."
"Your father is right," Arthur interjected before she could speak, coming up behind them, "he needs someone who will love him, unconditionally and stand up for him and you need someone who won't shy away from you, to love you unconditionally and you both need someone who isn't afraid of you. You and I tried, and a part of me will always love you but you and he work in a way we never could, go to him and help him heal and let yourself heal too."
"I don't want to leave you," she looked back and forth from two of the most important men in her life, but she knew who was the most important of all and he wasn't there with her, he had left when Arthur was settled on the throne, to go and find peace, Squirrel, as always, going with him because as he said, someone had to look after him.
"You will be back I'm sure of it," Merlin kissed her on the forehead. "Go."

Nimue made her way to her room only to find that her father and Arthur had already gotten her things ready for and gotten her supplies for the road. She smiled and made her way down to the stable were she found her horse already to go and Morgana too.
"I'm going with you," she told her and Nimue smiled.
"I'm glad."

They had been searching for over two months when Lancelot and Squirrel found them. Itg was just after they had finished their midday meal and Nimue was putting something away in her bag when she sensed him behind her, whirling around she saw him, half in shadow, leaning against a tree, with that infuriating smirk the only feature of his face showing.
He pushed back his hood and stepped forwards.
"This is a surprise," he said, scanning her over, reassuring himself she was there, "when we heard that you two were around we were very surprised that you were so far away from Camelot."
"What can I say, it got boring listening to my father and Arthur arguing with everyone," Nimue replied, as she too looked him over. He was a lot more relaxed then when she last saw him and while he was in in customary weeping monk outfit, she could see the hint of blue fabric from the piece of fabric he ripped of her dress the first they actually meet face to face and she smiled.
"Hey Squirrel," Morgana interjected, "do you guys have a camp around here?"
"We do," He nodded his head happily, "here I'll help you bring your stuff to camp." He smiled at her and she smiled back and they grabbed the stuff and horses and headed off as Lancelot walked slowly over to Nimue, both of them forgetting everything but each other.
"I'm happy to see you, surprised but happy," he told her, brushing some hair off her cheek, his fingertips lingering on her skin before dropping his hand.
"I missed you and my father kicked me out so I could come and find you."
"I missed you as well," he said gently, looking away, still nervous about showing emotion and expressing feelings.
"I'm glad," she told him, lifting his face up, wanting to soak up as much of him as she could now that she had him in front of her again. "And to be honest he also kicked me out because he said I needed my other half, after all a fae is nothing without their other half."
He cocked his head. "Other half?"
"You have heard about how some fae have mates yes?" he nodded. "Well it's not just some fae, all fae have a mate and your mine, I've known since you cornered me in the monastery."
He frowned then. "How can you be so sure? I mean surely it would need to be someone a lot lest damged them, I'm not a good person."
"I know because of how appealing you scent is, I could recognize it instantly and it's called to me since the first time I smelt it and then when you cornered me my skin when all tingly and all my senses became over whelmed by you and that's when I knew, though I admit I did fight that for a very long time."
"I thought it was just in my head," he said in shock.
She smiled at him. "Nope I felt it as well but we weren't ready for it then."
"How can you be sure we are ready for it now? I mean I'm still learning the difference between hate and love," He pressed his forehead to hers. "I'm not a good person Nimue, I was twisted so much that I killed our own people, I've ruined so many lives, how could I ever deserve to be happy, to deserve you?"
"It's not your fault," she said fiercely, "those people," she spat out the word, "tortured and twisted your mind for years and years, starting when you were just a boy, it was never and will never be your fault and I will fight anyone who ways differently."
"What about Arthur?"
"Arthur and I would never work, even without you we are just not right for each other and besides I like what we have," she grabbed his hand, entwining his fingers with hers. "I was something just like this, I don't need a hero, I just need you."
"Are you sure?" he had to ask, even if it broke his heart, he knew he loved her but he needed to be sure. "It won't be easy."
"Nothing worth having is," and before he could try again to change her mind she kissed him.
"There is no one else I would rather be with and if you're willing I would like to give this a go."
He smiled, "how could I say no to that?" and then he kissed her again.
Full discloser I started watching this show when I found out Daniel was in it.
I don't own cursed or the music or the character only this plot. This is going to be a series of one shots about my new favorite couple some taking place before this and some after wards.
