March 3

After spending the night making love when Yasha got back and having a fun-filled day yesterday, I must have been so tired this morning that I didn't notice at first when Moroha woke up. However, when I opened my eyes, I was met with such a heart-warming sight.

Inuyasha was sitting next to me with Moroha in his arms. She was smiling and giggling while he played with her.

"I love you so much, my sweet little girl," he said as he nuzzled her cheek. "I really missed you when I was gone. I thought of you every second of the day and hoped you were safe."

She grabbed onto his finger and made a sound.

"That's right. All I wanted was to be with you and hug you like this." He hugged her close to him. "You complete me, Moroha. Seeing your cute little face makes me so happy."

"Having fun?" I said, yawning.

Inuyasha glanced down at me. "Did we wake you up?"

"Not at all. This is a nice way to wake up anyway."

Inuyasha lay next to me and put Moroha between us. She looked back and forth at us with those wide gold eyes.

"Did you sleep well, my little cutie?" I said.

She made another sound and gripped onto her feet.

"You have such tiny feet," I said, tickling her left foot. It made her laugh, especially when Inuyasha tickled her other foot.

"And a cute tummy," he said, tickling her there.

"And a cute nose," I said, tapping her nose.

"And pretty cheeks."

Moroha giggled again as we kissed both of her cheeks. It made both of us laugh as well. Our baby girl is so sweet and brings so much happiness into our lives. It makes me wonder how we ever lived without her.

Soon after we got out of bed. Inuyasha made us breakfast while I fed Moroha with Nico sitting on the couch next to us to keep us company. Then I joined him at the table with Moroha sitting between us in the baby seat playing with a toy.

"I'm going to go to the shrine in a little while," I said.

"Have fun. I know everyone will be looking forward to seeing you."

Moroha dropped her toy on the floor and started crying until Inuyasha picked it up for her. Then she happily played with it again.

"Moroha was so good when I took her with me while you were away," I said. "Ayana and Takero said she's growing so fast."

"She is, it's hard to believe sometimes."

Moroha dropped her toy again and once again started crying. Inuyasha picked it up for her again and she was content.

"I think I'll take her down to the lake while you're out. She likes the fresh air over there."

"That's good, you'll have some daddy-daughter time."

"You going to Kaede's?"

"Yeah, for a little while."

"I'll come pick you up this afternoon then."

Moroha dropped her toy for the third time.

Inuyasha sighed. "Moroha, you're doing this on purpose now." Still, he picked it up for her and she started giggling.

"She thinks this is a game," I said, amused by the whole thing.

"Crazy how babies will be excited by the smallest things."

Once I was finished with breakfast, I got dressed, gave Inuyasha and Moroha hugs and kisses, and went over to the shrine. When I was done there, I went to Kaede's where we had tea together.

"How is your family?" she asked.

The word family still excited me. It's still so new to me and it's kind of thrilling to think that I have a family with Inuyasha.

"They're doing great. Inuyasha took Moroha to the lake today."

"That's nice, daddy-daughter bonding."

"That's exactly what I said."

"I know you're happy to have him home."

"I sure am, Kaede. I miss him so much when he's away. He's my entire heart and soul, you know? It just doesn't feel right when he's not here."

"I understand. You two are definitely made for each other, that's clear to anyone."

Just then we had a visitor. It was Kimiko. "Hi ladies," she said. "I need your help. My husband is coming down with a chill. Do you have any herbs I can give him?"

Kaede glanced at me, obviously letting me take the reins on this. "I know just what you need to give him, Kimiko," I said. I stood up and went to Kaede's supply of herbs to get some for her. "Give him this twice a day. It works like a charm."

"Thank you so much, Kagome. You're the best." She then went off to give those to her husband.

"You've come quite a long way, dear," Kaede said as I joined her again with our tea. "Between your knowledge of herbs and medicines, your work at the shrine, and your spiritual powers, you've become quite a fantastic priestess over the years."

"Thank you, Kaede. I had a fantastic teacher after all," I said as I sipped my tea. "I love doing this. It makes me happy. I've kind of put my all into it since I've started."

"All of your hard work has really paid off. Everyone can see it."

We sat and talked for a while longer and in between had a few more people come to us with needs. By the afternoon, Inuyasha came to pick me up as he said he would.

Instead of going straight home, we sat up in a tree by our house. Moroha was in my lap and Inuyasha's red robe was wrapped around us along with his strong arms as I leaned back against him. From the high branch, we were sitting on we could see the people in the village going about their day farming, hanging up clothes to dry, and just generally enjoying themselves.

I looked down at Moroha who was starting to fall asleep and I kissed her cheek. "Looks like it's naptime."

"I guess she had a little too much fun today," Inuyasha said.

"That's what I want for her; to enjoy every day without a care in the world."

"She's lucky to have you to give that to her."

"We're both lucky to have you," I said as I looked up at him. "You're an amazing father and husband."

He placed a kiss on my lips and I gladly returned it. "You two are so important to me. I wouldn't want to be anything less for you." He kissed me again. "I love you, Kagome."

"I love you too, Inuyasha." I kissed him once again. "Always."

Some people spend their whole lives trying to find true love and happiness. And sometimes, just when they have it, it slips away from them. I consider myself lucky every day to have been able to return to mine and to have had a chance to start over with him.

We've built a beautiful life together in ways that I never would have expected. All I know is that fate brought us together to love and care for each other. We may not be perfect, but I could never ask for anything more than him. The love we share and our beautiful baby girl are all I need to be happy.

Alright, everyone, I'm going to end this story here. I've literally got nothing left to add to it. This story came up to 692 pages! It's the longest story I've ever written in my life. This was by far my most ambitious project to date. I just hope that you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. My hope for this story is that it felt like you were experiencing Inuyasha and Kagome's life with them as you read her diary and that you enjoyed reading about their ups and downs and endless fluff.

I've got nothing left for this story but I've written A TON of other InuKag stories over the last few months which I will be posting here as well. I've already posted some of them but I've written well over 50 InuKag stories that I will be posting here in the coming months.

I hope you've enjoyed this story and I hope you'll leave a review. I always look forward to reading them.
