"Give me back my Phone!" Bree shouted as she ran after Adam who was holding the small device over his shoulders laughing.
Adam laughed as he looked down at his sister. "Who are you texting this time? Another boy you think is cute?" Adam made kissy faces at his sister who in turn glared at him defiantly.
"I said GIVE IT TO ME!" Bree shouted as she leaped up and snatched the phone from Adam's hand before speeding off towards the other side of the lab. "Ha!" She exclaimed. "It looks like your fun is over now."
Chase rolled his eyes as he watched his older siblings argue. Beside him sat his adoptive brother Leo who was scrolling through a web page on his tablet. Leo looked up from his tablet for a heartbeat. "What are they arguing about now?" He asked.
Chase shrugged. "I think Adam took Bree's phone." He responded as loud alarm went off in the lab which signaled a mission. Chase stood up as Mr. Davenport walked into the Lab.
"Guys, there is an urgent mission alert." Mr. Davenport said as he pulled up an image on his cyber desk. "A warehouse with highly flammable chemicals has been set on fire. I need you guys to get over there quickly and put the fire out before it spreads to the chemicals. If those chemicals explode it could take out the entire block!"
Chase nodded in understanding as he sat his tablet down. "Let's go!" He yelled as he raced over to his capsule. Adam and Bree soon followed with their gear.
Chase was the first of the three to arrive at the mission site. Smoke poured out of one of the buildings causing the air around him to have a smoky scent. Whilst Chase waited for Adam and Bree, he took the time to scan the area with his bionic eye and search for hidden dangers.
"Alright lets, get this over with." Bree proclaimed as she walked over to Chase. "A guy at school wants to hang out with me at school. I can't go covered in soot and smelling like smoke."
Chase rolled his eyes in annoyance at his sister's comments. "Well, the quicker we get this over with the quicker you can go see whatever guy you have a crush on."
Bree rolled her eyes and glanced at Adam who was occupying himself by staring at clouds in the sky. "Alright, mister mission leader, what do you want me to do?"
Chase rolled his eyes at Bree's comment before answering. "Superspeed inside the building. That should create a vortex that should put out the fire. After the fire is out Adam and I will investigate the cause of it."
Bree glanced at Adam who was still staring at the clouds above him. "Do you really think it is wise to let Adam investigate the cause of a fire?"
"Just go!" Chase shouted.
"Alright, alright," Bree said as she raced off.
Chase watched as Bree sped off before turning his attention to Adam. "Adam focus!"
Adam looked up at Chase. "I was just—" but was cut off abruptly as Bree's voice cut through the com-set.
"Guys this fire is fake."
"What?" Chase ran into the building. Bree stood at the entrance looking confused.
"The fire vanished without a trace as soon as I entered the building." Confusion clouded Bree's gaze as she glanced around the room. "I don't understand. There was smoke everywhere when we arrived here. How can fire just up and vanish?"
"I don't know," Chase responded. "But I don't like this. I think we should go."
"Go? I don't think so!" A triumphant voice rang across the room as a man stepped out of the shadows.
Chase jumped as the door locked effectively locking himself and Bree in the building. "Douglas?"
Douglas leveled a tazer at Bree and Chase with a smirk. "So, I have finally trapped two of you."
Bree glared at Douglas. "Do you really think that pathetic little stun gun of yours will stop my superspeed?"
Douglas laughed. "Certainly not. Douglas pulled out a small remote from his pocket. "But this will!" Douglas pressed the button and a small laser beam shot out and hit Bree which left her stunned."
"Bree!" Chase shouted as he raced over to his fallen sister. Chase glared at Douglas. "What did you do to her?" He demanded.
"Nothing." Douglas answered with a laugh as he leveled his tazer at Chase and shot him."
