Blossom

Ever since the Rowdyruff boys were reborn ten years ago by HIM, strange incidents have been occurring in Townsville. Such incidents included horrific encounters with mutated civilians, and even some sort of demons. Yes, demons. There was no doubt of what HIM was capable of. It was able to shift reality, which caused many defects in Townsville. These defects were discovered by the Professor which caused multiverses to merge with our own. A teenage robot, a boy genius, a grim reaper, a talking dog (even though one already existed here); and many more now inhabit our world.

After years of adapting to each others' ways of living, each of us were able to simply live with it. Even the Rowdyruff boys themselves now have been transferred to our school for quite some years. At first, it was rough, no pun intended. The six of us were constantly clashing, except for the blues who seemed to still hide the fact that they had feelings for one another. Both are simply just faking to hate each other. But since then, our quarrels have ceased. As we all grew up, so did our tolerance for each other balance out.

For Blossom, Brick was nothing more than a regular classmate now. Though she wasn't too sure of her sister's experience with the Ruff's brothers. She would only hear of them when either Bubbles whined about how it was not fair to not associate with them. Or when Buttercup would complain on how much of a "pervert" Butch was. However, Bubbles would constantly bug Blossom of her thoughts on Brick. She would just shrug it off or give a simple answer of "He is just a Rowdyruff to me." Though it made her wonder...How was her experience with the ruff?

He was mostly quiet in class and usually only talked if he had to. In the halls, he stuck to his brothers. Whenever he saw her, he would give a glare or simply just ignore her. Though if given an opening, he would simply tease her. Probably to get under her skin. But other than that he posed no real threat to her. Especially not when their new caretaker Dr. Weasel was in charge. Him and the Professor got along well, which was kind of ironic. In fact the two of them had a meeting scheduled for tonight about matters associating Bell.

"Leader girl! Hurry up!" Buttercup yelled from downstairs.

"Buttercup, she has a lot of hair! Give her a break!" Bubbles yelled back in defense of Blossom.

Well enough of being held up by her thoughts. Blossom quickly rushed as she finished her hair. Her sister's bickering continued as she reached the kitchen table.

"Enough girls, I am ready now shall we?"

Bubbles huffed out and Buttercup just gave a tired nod as the three of them flew off.

On the way there, three individuals caught her eye. It was a mystery on why the boys drove, or more or less carpooled to school rather than fly. But a certain someone's glare made her fly quicker.

"Girlies guess what~" Bubbles sang out.

Buttercup sighed, "what is it Bubbles?"

Bubbles pouted and crossed her arms at Buttercup's attitude. "Miss grouchy I Bubbles Utonium am now in charge of the Spring fling!"

Blossom and Buttercup flinched as they all landed. "Since when was I not informed on this!? I'm the student council president!" Blossom protested.

"Since I was Vice President."

Robin walked up to them and smiled innocently, "come on Bloss we need an expert at this. Bubs is very good at decorating and do you even know how amazing her baked goodies are!?"

Blossom rolled her eyes, "alright I support your choice."

Both the Blue Puff and Robin smiled in victory. While the Green Puff flinched and gave a stern look in the opposite direction. Blossom followed her gaze and knew where or who she was looking at.

One by one, the Rowdyruff boys stepped out of the car. The Green Ruff smirked once he saw Buttercup and winked. The Blue Ruff looked at no doubt Bubbles and right away blushed. Lastly the Ruff leader himself. Brick Jojo. He made eye contact with her and gave his natural glare. Blossom didn't return it but gave him a simple look. Butch came up to them and playfully elbowed Buttercup. "Hey Butters, you ready to get schooled in basketball today? My team is ready to defeat yours."

Buttercup scoffed and laughed, "you wish asshole. Your team better be ready if you want any chance of defeating me."

The two greens were in each other's faces. While those two were having their usual competitive stand-off, Boomer snuck behind them and walked to Bubbles. Boomer smiled softly, "h-hey Bubbles, I heard you were in charge of the spring fling?" Bubbles seemed to almost fangirl as her eyes sparkled. "Y-yes! I am! I am so excited! Are you excited?" Boomer blushed a bit and nodded as the two started to chit-chat. Blossom sighed at the greens bickering but suddenly felt a shoulder hit hers. Brick walked past her and..wait..what was that look? Also the less harsh shoulder shove. Was he in a good mood?

"Alright Thing One knock it off." Butch flinched at his older brothers glare and quickly zipped his lips. Brick walked past the greens and grabbed Boomer's arm, "come on Thing Two or should I say lover boy...Class is going to start." Boomer blushed madly but let Brick drag him.

As if on cue, the first bell rang and students began to head to class. Great...Chemistry with..him..and..At the corner of her eye Dexter was seen walking to class. It has been a year since the incident happened with Bell and Mandark..and yet..Blossom could not drop the fact of him and Ogla being a thing now. Their relationship faltered over the past year. Once they turned sophomores, their friendship ended. Now it was only a memory that was burned into the back of her mind. Though Blossom had learned to push her feelings aside and to just go on living her high school days.

On her way to class, Blossom felt as if she was being watched. She tried not to make it obvious that she was searching from where the energy was coming from. But she was soon caught by the Red Ruff's gaze. Was he the one staring at her?

Their teacher Mrs. O'Noel took Blossom out of her thoughts as she rushed the rest of her students in class. Blossom sat at her usual seat behind Brick. Again ironic. Mrs. O'Noel walked to her desk, "alright students, today I will be announcing our next class project. You will be assigned partners for this. We will be making a model of an atom and explaining the principles of protons, neutrons, and electrons. You will need to show on the model each of the seven energy levels that are associated. You will also need to explain the level of increase and decrease based on distance. So you will need a model and a board with this information."

Everyone seemed to despise this idea, though Blossom being herself, didn't really mind. Mrs. O'Noel smiled, "don't get too excited class. Now for the partners. Pablo you are with Dexter, Natalie you are with Inez, Carlos you are with Dallas, Blossom you are with Brick-"

A slam on the desk was heard, "What!? Why am I paired with!-"

"Mr. Jojo do not yell in my class! Now sit down and calm yourself! Or do you wish to take a stroll to Mrs. Keane's office!?" Mrs. O'Noel glared at Brick and held a firm posture. Brick scowled but did as she said. Once he calmed down, Mrs. O'Noel continued the partner lineup. Blossom sighed and hated to admit it but she did not like their partnership either. But for now both would have to deal with it. After the list was done being announced, each pair in the class received their materials to make the model with.

Suddenly a small paper was passed to her from Brick. Blossom was taken aback. Perhaps it was from someone else?

"What is your contact? It is for this project and nothing else."

Blossom looked up at Brick and he just gave her a side look. She sighed but complied with his request. "xxx-xxx-xxxx, what is yours?"

Brick took out his phone and seemed to type something. Then a buzz was felt in her pocket. She took out her phone and read the message.

"There bow"

Blossom frowned at the "nickname" but typed back. "Thanks Ruff"

Brick flinched once he read the text before giving her a..less cold glare? It was a more annoyed one? Huh that was new. Just like the curious look he gave her before class. What was going on?

But his next action surprised her. The Rowdyruff turned his chair to face her and sat back down. Oh?..had the class all separated in pairs while she was lost in thought?..

For once the two looked at each other with no glares. Brick cleared his throat, "when do you have free period?" Blossom tried to ignore this new change of attitude, "Mine is fourth right before lunch." Brick nodded, "I have it too, perhaps we could work on the project during then." She agreed with this plan, "perhaps we should meet in the library?" The red ruff...he what!? He smiled at her?! "That seems to be the only reasonable place to do a project in yes."

Blossom did not want to be rude so she smiled back. "Yes it would seem so." The two kept the smile before awkwardly looking away. She tried to change the subject, "so..are you prepared to come home to your green sibling complaining about how the basketball game went?" Brick seemed to be taken aback by this. His face looked shocked. Blossom couldn't blame him, this whole situation was foreign to them. The leaders having a conversation? Since when?

"Perhaps I should prepare, those two are at each other's throats. I'm surprised they haven't destroyed the gym yet." Brick sighed and gave an annoyed look. "Butch is quite the energetic one.."

Blossom laughed a bit, "I can tell with his..twitches? Are these twitches? Or are they small bursts of energy? But anyways, my sister has most definitely destroyed the gym before..Professor was not pleased."

Brick smirked, what on earth? Was today her lucky day or something? Brick had other expressions besides a glare? "Well you have to admit, your sister has quite the temper. Butch basically just feeds off of it."

Blossom sighed, "she does..But she is getting better, which I am glad with." Again with the awkward silence. Think of something Blossom.

"Have you heard of Bell?.."

This time it was Brick who broke the silence. "No unfortunately not..there are still no traces of her since she attacked last time..Though I am sure you know of the meeting our fathers-" Brick seemed to flinch at that word. "I-I mean caretakers are having this evening?" Brick simply just nodded, "the weasel thinks there are more pressing matters to attend to. He states that there are more dangerous threats arising."

Blossom was both intrigued and concerned, "what kind of threat is more dangerous then Bell and her father?" Brick sighed and didn't look at her, "HIM.." Blossom flinched at the name. No it couldn't be..That thing had been gone for years. YEARS. Why did it resurface now? Brick seemed to catch onto her paranoia. "The weasel has heard information only from the Professor. So that is why he will be discussing it at the meeting."

Blossom thought to herself of the horrors that IT has put her and her sisters through. HIM doesn't just jump into things like some villains do. It is tactical and doesn't act for nothing. A crimson look got her out of her thoughts as she pushed aside her concerns for now. "Thank you for this information Brick. Hopefully we will address what actions to take to stop that things plans."

Brick simply nodded, "no problem.." He looked as if he wanted to say something else, but was interrupted by Mitch.

"Hey Blossy, Buttercup wanted me to inform you that she is now in the principal's office for um.." He cleared his throat and tried to whisper, "breaking the basketball hoop.."

Blossom sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "That girl is going to be the end of me-"

Mitch interrupted again finishing his statement, "with Butch's face.." He then turned to look at Brick, "also your brother broke a wall by throwing Buttercup into it. So both are in the principal's office.."

Brick sighed as well and looked completely ticked off.

"Mr. Jojo, Mrs. Utonium, Mrs. Keane wishes to see both of you in her office."

Professor was not going to like this at all. By the end of the day, there would be a grounded green puff. Both leaders walked to the office together. The green's bickering could be heard from down the hall. But once both leaders walked into the office, both straightened up and were silent. Mrs. Keane looked tired and fed up with the twos bickering.

"Welcome Brick and Blossom, I assume you are aware of these twos actions?"

Blossom gave Buttercup a glare, "yes Mrs. Keane we are aware of the incident that has occurred. Please accept my deepest apology for Buttercup's outburst..again.."

"Please accept my apology as well for my brother's stupidity. I am sure it will not happen again." Brick said firmly while giving Butch a death glare.

Both greens seemed to shrink back into their chairs. Mrs. Keane smiled reassuringly, "I accept, but there is also the matter of the bill for the repairs. It it logical for Buttercup to cover the basketball hoop and Butch the wall."

Blossom nodded, "I will make sure the bill is taken care of Mrs. Keane."

Brick agreed as well, "I will inform Dr. Weasel of this and the bill will be paid for."

Mrs. Keane sighed in relief, "good..Now as for you two. I will give you a warning WITH detention for a week."

Both greens stood up from their seats. "WHAT!?" But one stern look from both of their older siblings and the two sat right back down.

Mrs. Keane continued, "Now back to class the four of you. Here are your passes and please try to control yourselves. Don't let this happen again."

The greens took their passes and glared at each other before heading out. The leaders also grabbed their passes and walked out. Blossom sighed and felt a headache coming along. A headache called Buttercup Utonium.

"It seems your prediction was right about our siblings creating trouble."

Brick looked annoyed and quite tired. Blossom looked away, "it seems so..though sometimes I wish I wasn't right about certain things. Next thing you know Bubbles will just waltz in here claiming she has a date to the dance!"

Cue the squealing pigtailed puff rushing down the hall to her. "Blossy! Guess who got a date to the dance!"

Blossom flinched and face palmed her forehead, while Brick snickered. Bubbles was bouncing in place, "Guess who it is~"

Blossom tried to compose herself, "who is the lucky guy?"

Bubbles blushed and seemed to be very nervous. "Um..well..you see about that..Please don't be mad at me. I know you said to um.." The Blue Puff glanced at Brick before looking back at Blossom, and whispering. "To not associate with them..But um..Boomer is my date."

Blossom froze before taking this information in. She blinked and then blinked again. How was she supposed to take this information!? And the Ruff leader was right there! Oh what was the use..Blossom could not keep the two blues from each other forever. "So Boomer asked you out? Or?"

Bubbles smiled proudly, "I asked him!"

Brick seemed to try to hold in a laugh but cleared his throat. Blossom sighed before giving her younger sister an encouraging smile. "Congrats Bubbles, you deserve the win."

Bubbles seemed to be perplexed at her older sister's support, but brushed it aside. She was too overflowing with joy to care at this point. "Thank you! And by the way, Brick don't worry! Your brother is in good hands!"

Brick was taken aback by this but gave her a small unsure smile. "Thanks?"

Bubbles giggled, "anyways~ I better go plan for the Spring fling! Since this is my free period! Bye bye~" And like that a blue streak of light zoomed past them. H-hey! No powers inside! What was she going to do with her sisters?..

A burst of laughter escaped the red ruff. "I asked him out? Your brother is in good hands? Oh my god Boomer." Brick continued to laugh.

This surprised Blossom, he was laughing? In front of her? I mean of course he was capable of laughing and of course now other emotions apparently. But he has never presented them to her. She wondered what made him open up all of a sudden.

"Um Brick..?"

Brick whipped a tear from his eye and turned to her. "Ya? What is it?" He was still trying to hold his laughter in.

"Excuse my question but..Why are you so open now? To me at least.."

Brick gave her a questioning look. Blossom flinched and tried to correct her wording. "D-don't take it the wrong way! I mean you are of course capable of other emotions besides that glare you give me. But I have never seen you smile or laugh. N-not that I'm judging! I just-"

A cap was then placed on her head, "Calm down Bow, I get what you mean. To be honest I don't really know myself. I have had so much anger towards you for so long that I just got tired of it. What is the point if we will basically be working together? And to be honest..We have never really talked or tried to get along like our siblings have. So perhaps-"

Blossom understood now, "perhaps that's why these actions are foreign to us?"

Brick chuckled, "you could say that yes."

He was right, they have never really tried to get along. Usually they would just ignore each other's existence and that was that. It was a constant tug-of-war of glaring and smart remarks.

"Besides..It isn't..all your fault for what has happened to us. You were just doing your job as a Powerpuff girl. So..I simply have moved past it..Though still..I suppose the glare has just come natural for me at this point. It just comes out. Sometimes I still resent you."

Blossom listened to everything he had to say. She took it all in. If only she could know the Rowdyruff's point of view. Perhaps then she would understand. "It is okay to resent me. I mean..You may have been villains, but you three were still civilians of this city. We were all still young..still blind to how things worked in Townsville. Don't get me started on politics.."

Brick sighed and agreed with her, "man were we all blinded huh?..Sometimes I still think we..I am."

Blossom gave him a small smile, "yes I suppose we still are. So according to this change of sides, would you say we are in a truce?"

Brick thought for a bit before raising a finger, "we should perhaps make an oath of truce. Write it on paper. That is what my brothers and I did when we all agreed to stop terrorizing Townsville."

The idea sounded reasonable, "yes that would be a perfect idea. We should all gather to write it and then sign it. Perhaps the meeting tonight will do? I wonder how our siblings will react.."

Brick rolled his eyes, "oh please, I think they would make a remark along the lines of "It's about damn time!" Especially our youngest siblings."

That was true, yes the greens had their disagreements and competition. But they still got along. "It is settled then, tonight we shall discuss the matters of HIM and complete our oath of truce. But for now we should probably head to class."

The bell rang and the halls were soon flooded by students. "I think it's too late for that. Oh well, I'll see you in the fourth period in the library." Brick began to walk the opposite direction.

Blossom watched him before realizing a certain red cap was still placed on her head. She tried to shout out, "you forgot your!-" But the Ruff was already gone.

A playful elbow pushed the side of her. Mike Believe smiled at her, "Hey Icicle." If Mike was here, so was-

"Hey Bloss!"

Mike's other half Robin. These two are elementary sweethearts. They have been dating since the third grade. The two were always close, it was only a matter of time.

Mike seemed to notice that Brick was with her. "So..what is with the Rowdyruff? Has he finally blessed you with his presence?" He chuckled.

Robin smacked his shoulder playfully, "oh hush you. Those two have to get along with this whole working together thing going on."

"Robin is correct, but other than that we were also assigned together as partners for a project."

Blossom did not like the look on those faces. They were..mischievous..

"Ohohoho ~ I see, so either way you are stuck with him. Though in my opinion, it's about time you two started getting along. Besides, you two will basically co-lead."

Robin smirked at Blossom and Mike grabbed Robin's arm. "Come on you two, we can girl talk later. We have class, remember?"

Co-lead? That was a possibility yes..but Blossom wasn't sure of that much change. But if the Professor approved, then it would be official. Today was something alright..

~~~~~~
Brick
What was with him today? He felt so exhausted. Perhaps it was Butch's stupidity that he still had to deal with in class with him.
"Damn math! Why do we need numbers anyway!?"
Speak of the idiot himself, "Butch..just shut up and do your work.."
Butch grumbled under his breath but flinched when Brick gave him a glare.
Patience with the idiot...Just go back to his studies.
"Hey Big Bro, so how are you and Red?" His green brother asked in both curiosity and teasingly.
The Ruff leader gave him a stern look, "That is none of your concern Thing One." Butch didn't flinch this time as he seemed to hold his ground. "Have you finally started getting along?" Brick made a growl like noise as he TRIED to ignore his brother and work. "Again..none of your concern."
Yet Einstein still didn't seem to get the point. "But Big Bro I think that is good! Finally you make a move on her! I mean have you seen her!?-"
A smack to the head finally shut him up as Brick's eyes glowed a bit in rage. "Ok ok! I'm sorry fire demon! Jeesh..I was only asking.."
Give him a break, he knew his youngest brother would be worse once they got home. More of "Oh my god! Finally! I knew you couldn't be mad at her forever!" Or "I told you if you were nice you two would get along!" The blue ruff's blabbering would become the bane of his existence. And don't forget the fact that he would need to explain to the weasel of what Butch did today, plus the bill. Why was the time going so damn slow!? Brick liked math but jeesh was this day going by slow. Five more minutes..come on..
Butch face planted on the desk and groaned. Brick was debating whether or not to follow his action. But unlike his brother, he had dignity.
SHRIIIIIIIING
Finally! The Red Ruff gathered his work and placed it in his backpack. He then smacked the back of Butch's head. "Wake up Thing One." Butch groaned again but sat up and gathered his things. The idiot followed him like a lost puppy, and Brick thought he was the one mostly dog.
"Big Bro if I were you, I would stay out of the Lover Boy's peripheral vision. He is a sneaky one, takes after his counterpart. Anyway! Good luck!" Butch headed off and went straight for Buttercup. Figures..
A tap on his shoulder startled him. Damn had the blue ruff found him already!? Oh yeah..it was the fourth period after math huh? The Pink Puff gave a small smile, "you ready for the library?" Brick nodded and let her lead the way.
The two made their way to the library in awkward silence. He did not know much about small talk or anything either about what Powerpuffs liked to talk about. This sad excuse for a walk stood silent all the way to the back table.
The library was silent, too silent for his liking. It only made the silence even louder.
"Would you like to paint the clay before we make the model, or should we wait till after the model is made?"
As if she read his mind, Blossom broke the silence. "Perhaps it would be easier to paint it before. Imagine the struggle trying to paint it through crevices while also trying not to break the model?"
The Pink Puff gave a shrug and agreed with him. "That is true..Also, would you like to cover half and half of the information? Together it would be five and five for each. Seven levels and three principles for an atom. We can work on the increase and decrease by distance together."
Well shit she really had this planned out didn't she? "Yes, that sounds like a solid plan."
She smiled at this agreement, "good. If we have any questions we will just contact each other. As for the model, perhaps we should work on it here in the library along with the rest."
The Pink Puff started separating papers and passing his assignment for the project. So organized. Was there a folder for everything? He admitted he was a bit on the messier side of things. No doubt she would raid his backpack, almost having a heart attack.
"It is settled then Ruff." She took a quick peek at the clock and turned back to face him. "We have about thirty minutes left, shall we work on the model or wait till tomorrow?"
Thirty minutes would be enough to at least to map out how they wanted to do the model. "Why not? Might as well get a head start on this project." He shrugged and got out his sketchbook. Though he did not expect a stare from her. Not a mean stare, more like a curious one.
"You draw? Are you in art class?" Blossom tilted her head like a confused puppy. He was not going to lie, he thought it was kind of cute. What? He has never seen her act like this, at least not to him. This was very new to him as well.
"I am in art class yes I do draw." His cheeks began to heat up. Brick wasn't a bragger nor did he like to share his art. Though from what he heard from his brothers and teacher, his art was good. Of course he didn't believe the bullshit.
The Pink Puff looked at his sketchbook, probably wondering how his work looked. Maybe he should show her one?..
Brick opened his book to the first page and passed it to her. Her eyes widened at his sickening art. She probably thinks it-
"This is amazing Brick! I didn't know you could draw like this! How long have you been hiding this talent!?"
Blossom's eyes shone with awe as she gave him a curious look.
"You call that talent? It's an unfinished piece."
He appreciated the encouragement but he knew this piece was a lost cause. "Are you kidding me? Ruff, even unfinished pieces could be reassembled for something great."
A cap was placed back on his head. Oh right..he was missing it wasn't he? No wonder why he felt naked third period. The weird thing was that he saw her with the cap on on the way over here. Yet he did nothing. Perhaps he just didn't mind.
"I'm guessing you wanted to sketch out the design for the model?"
The Pink Puff took out a notebook, possibly to write information down about distance.
"Ya, I'll do the sketch and while I'm doing that we can discuss the distance crap."
Blossom rolled her eyes in a playful way, "yes the distance crap." Did she not like curse words? He would expect that she would be at least used to them since her green sister was a sailor.
Those thirty minutes seemed to pass by quickly as the two worked together. By the time the bell rang for lunch, Brick was half way done with the sketch. The Pink Puff snuck a few glances along the way. She looked very intrigued.
"You map out your sketches like an architect would. Fascinating..."
He tried to hide the red on his face as he stood up and started to gather his things. "Y-yes well..I suppose we will meet here tomorrow then? Or well.. I will see you in chemistry."
Blossom mirrored his actions and placed her backpack on her shoulder. "Yes, well then, I will see you tomorrow then."
Both began to walk out of the library and headed the same direction. Well..I mean both were also heading towards the cafeteria. Now he felt stupid for saying goodbye. The tension was so loud. He'd bet she felt the same way with her looking away from him.
"I suppose this is the actual goodbye this time." Blossom laughed a bit, "Goodbye Ruff."
Brick laughed nervously, "goodbye Bow." The Pink Puff seemed to flinch at his nickname but walked to her table nonetheless.
Oh? Did she not like his nickname? It's better than Red like his twitching brother called her. At least...he thought it was better. Hmm..Perhaps he would experiment later.
~~~~~~

Blossom

Bow? She understood to many her bow was her trademark, but using it as a nickname? That was new. It sounded weird to her. Bow sounded sweet or innocent, much more fit for her baby blue sister. Though she was known to be the everything nice part of the concoction. Perhaps that was it?

"Hey Icicle are you ok?"

She turned to see Mike's worried expression. Oops..there she goes again drifting off.

"That's just Bloss for you, she is always in her own little world. Are you thinking about the student council meeting in the next two weeks? I know you have been working hard on recruiting new members."

Robin gave her reassurance as she rubbed her boyfriend's back. The brown haired girl then gave a disgusted face after taking a spoonful of food. "Is this even mashed potatoes anymore? Looks like potato soup.."

Mike gave the same look at his own tray, "yaaaa..I think I'll pass on this. I'm not that hungry.

Blossom pushed her own tray away before standing up and dumping it where it belonged.

"Is it that time Bloss?"

She grabbed her backpack and nodded at her friend's question. Mike gave her a stern look, "What did I say about going off on your own?" What was he her father? More like an overprotective brother.

"Believe I am capable of being on my own. Thank you very much."

Blossom crossed her arms with an annoyed look. Robin gave her a worried look, "although I know Mikey is being his overprotective self, I agree with him. You know you can stay and hangout with us right?"

And be the third wheel? She would rather not.."I will be fine you two, I appreciate your concern but it is nice to have alone time."

The dirty blonde did not seem to buy it but sighed dropping it. "Alright alright..just please if you need anything you-"

She stubbornly interrupted him, "yes I know where to come Believe. I'll be ok." The Pink Puff gave him a comforting smile.

"Ya! She is a strong woman, she will be fine hon."

Robin waved to her and she even received a still wary one from Mike. Blossom waved back before heading outside.

The outside was mostly filled with students who played football or basketball. Some people even walked around to chat. But her spot was always empty. It was under a tree next to the football field. Perfect shade and surprisingly quiet besides the shouting from the players. She sat down and took out her book. Soon enough, the words in the book zoned her out.

A tip of a foot touched her leg softly. Though she thought it was a ball that had rolled over. Wait, where is the-

"Is this your spot Bow?"

What was he doing here? Not that she minded! "I mean it does not belong to me. My name is not on it. But I suppose I come here almost everyday to read." She felt herself grow nervous, "not to be mean, but why are you here?"

The Red Ruff averted his gaze and cleared his throat. "Um..well.." Why was he so nervous? Was it that bad? Perhaps she shouldn't have asked. But before she could say anything the Red Ruff sat down in defeat. He mumbled something.

"What was that?" Blossom gave him a curious look and leaned closer to him to hear better. The Ruff seemed to not like that? He backed off a bit.

A book was taken out of his backpack and placed into her lap. Blossom blinked before blinking again. Huh? This is what got him so worked up? "Ruff you realize who you are speaking with right? I am literally reading on this bench."

She teased him and laughed a bit, "don't worry, your secret is safe with me. Hopefully this won't ruin your Rowdyruff reputation." Blossom laughed more and Brick was now red.

"I guess you are now truly the Red Ruff."

Blossom was now holding her sides whilst continually laughing.

~~~~~~
Brick
Why that!- That sly!- Since when did Blossom Utonium become so slick!? She was still laughing at him. Oh would he get a hold of himself!? Composure! He was supposed to be the composed one! So she wanted to play it like that huh? Well for being a Ruff, he had many tricks up his sleeve.
"You think you are so funny huh Bow?
Blossom flinched once she saw his mischievous grin. "But last time I checked, I am the Rowdyruff here. So if I were you, I would watch your back.
She smiled nervously, "your threat is duly noted Ruff. By the way, why do you call me Bow? Is it just because I have one? Because that is not that clever." The Pink Puff mocked him and smiled.
"And calling me Ruff is?"
The nerve of this girl, she thought she was so clever. "Last time I checked you were mostly dog, so Ruff." She made that sound more dog-like. Why that little!-
"So I win Mr. Dog Tail." The Pink Puff smiled in triumph. Dammit he admitted he had nothing.
"Alright Bow you win." Blossom looked away at the nickname. Was it that uncomfortable or? Oh wait. Ohoho, he gets it now.
"Are you sure the name Bow isn't bothering you? Because it seems to me.." He leaned closer to her, "that you are flustered by it."
She flinched at his comment and turned to him to protest. "Bow sounds too sweet for me!"
"Would you rather me call you Red?" Brick did say he would try it out.
"N-no! Wait, isn't that your color? I'm pink!" Blossom continued to protest. Ohoho, was this striking a nerve?
"Pinky then? You look like a Pinky." He snickered and that seemed to make her even more embarrassed.
"No! Pinky is even worse!" The Pink Puff face palms and looks defeated. Brick smirked, "Bow it is then. I win." She gave him an annoyed look. His ego only grew more.
"Well would you look at that."
Both flinched and..Oh god why. "What is this? The two leaders are getting along? About time! Bro what have I told you!-"
The Blue Ruff kept blabbering. Oh how he had wished this could have been done at home.
"Thing Two not now.."
"Awe come on! You gave me a lot of shit for it and now you are getting along with her!?"
One stern look and the dumbass shut up. Blossom only seemed to hold in a laugh before looking away at his glare.
SHRIIIIIING
Looks like he was saved by the bell. Thank god. Oh shit! He walked the same way Boomer did. Why world why.
"I suppose I will see you tonight then Ruff. Bye Boomer." The Pink Puff waved at the two of them before heading off.
Boomer waved and smirked at Brick. Why did the world like to torment him so?
Blossom
"You what!?"
Her green sister did not seem to like the fact of her being partners with Brick. Yet another overprotective sibling.
"Oh come on Bee, it is a project! She has no choice either way. But I for one think this is a good thing! Finally they can get along. We are going to be working together soon anyway." Bubbles crossed her arms and scolded Buttercup like any mother would.
"Fine fine..but if he tries anything..I'm going to knock his teeth in!" The Green Puff punched her hand and gave a serious look.
"Don't worry Buttercup, the project will be over in about two weeks. Besides, we did..start to get along.."
Why was she so nervous? Was it wrong to get along with a Rowdyruff boy? The leader no doubt.
Both her sisters looked shocked. Was it also a shock for her to get along with Brick? She knew she was stubborn, but she was also sure he was even worse.
"That's good Bloss! Finally!" Bubbles beamed with joy and clasped her hands together.
"Ya ya, besides, two weeks with him couldn't be that bad." Buttercup said more in a mocking tone.
Brick
Please someone make this torture stop. Here he thought he was the one to do the scolding. Yet here was his youngest brother blabbering about his new friendship with the Pink Puff.
"And furthermore!-"
"ENOUGH BOOMER!" His brother shut up at his outburst. "I get it alright? I'm sorry, now drop it." Brick's tone was that of a father scolding his son for misbehaving. "Yes sir." Boomer said quickly and sat down. Butch's snicker was heard in the back.
"Though Bro..you know..you should continue trying." He flinched again at Brick's glare. "H-honest! You two looked like you were having fun. You guys were laughing for Christ sake! It looked..nice."
Did his brothers think he felt lonely? Yes he spent most of his time at school alone and never conversed with anyone. But he was..content at least. Though Boomer did have a point, it did feel nice.
"Just promise me you will keep trying Bro, because..I have never seen you so happy."
Those words..a promise? "I will, I will keep trying. I..promise." He couldn't say no to him. Who in the right mind would say no? A smile grew on his brother's face and now looked very at ease.
Keep trying? Yes..he would do that..At least for now. How hard could it be?
