Mario

"So, what's the plan?" Mario asked Rosalina as she turned to a Luma.

"Are you ready, little one?" she asked.

"Yep! It's time to TRANSFORM!" The Luma rapidly spun around before transforming into a Launch Star.

"There's nothing that brings me more joy than watching a Luma transform. Anyway, this Launch Star will take you directly to the forest where E. Gadd is located. Once you land, you'll search for him and ask for his assistance when you find him before returning here."

"How will we get back?" Luigi asked. He seemed to take much more interest in the mission after his conversation with Mario, which still dwelled in the back of Mario's mind.

"You'll see. For now, just focus on finding the professor and convincing him to help us. In the meantime, I will prepare the Comet Observatory and the Lumas for battle. Any final questions?" Both of them shook their heads. "Good, then I wish you luck on your mission." She walked away, and the brothers turned to face the Launch Star.

"Ready?" asked Mario.

"Ready." Luigi nodded. Mario first leapt into the Launch Star, demonstrating how to spin, before flying down to the Earth's surface.

King Boo

King Boo lounged in the throne room, plotting his next move. He had dared Rosalina to come to him, sure, but what if...? His thoughts were interrupted when a possessed Goomba ran into the room.

"My lord, I bring news," it said.

"Well? Spit it out already!" King Boo demanded.

"Our scouts spotted two characters flying from the comet, and we-"

"WHERE DID THEY LAND?!" shouted King Boo, causing the poor Goomba to to tremble before its master.

"They landed in the woods where the professor is residing." At this, King Boo calmed down.

"I see...well played, Rosalina, but your plan won't work." He returned his attention to the Goomba. "Send a squad to their location to engage them. Send Junior with them as well. Is the armada ready?"

"Um, no, sir. You see, there's one problem."

"Oh? And what would that be?"

"Um, well, you see, the airships are out of fuel. We-"

"RRRGH!" Using his powers, he sent the Goomba flying out of the room, before getting up and marching to where the airships were kept.

"I was told we were out of fuel?" He asked after arriving.

"Yes, sir," a Koopa Troopa replied, "And there is none left in storage."

"Well, I'm here to fix that." Closing his eyes and focusing his power, the airships were suddenly enveloped in a purple light. They began to slowly rise off of the ground, all while King Boo grinned.

"Prepare the troops! Tonight we go to battle!"
