Love that lasts
Chapter 1
She was running around, playing in the garden. At nine years old, Lilly didn't expect that this would be the day she made a new friend. On their way to the chapel, she found herself singing and staring out of the window, this day was special, she could feel it.
She looked at her mum and smiled as they pulled up at the chapel, they walked hand in hand towards the entrance, when she suddenly heard a car approaching. This was not out of the norm because many people attended chapel on a Sunday, but her mum suddenly stopped and turned around to greet the new guest. Lilly waited at the door and watched as the pleasantries unfolded.
There was an elderly lady, Mrs. Lisa, her husband Mr. Edward, a beautiful baby girl Rose and two young gentlemen, Master Romeo and Master Dillan.
Lilly's mum, Vicky and her father Wesley introduced themselves and they quickly became friends. They sat together in church and after the service Vicky invited Lisa and her family for a lunch at their home. Lilly was very excited as Dillan was almost her age from what she could tell and Romeo was the same age as Lilly's older brother William.
Lilly also had a baby sister, Marsha and she was just a baby, so everyone was fond of Marsha.
At the home of Lilly and her family, they sat down for lunch and enjoyed the afternoon, Lilly and Dillan got along very well and they also became quick friends. Rose and Marsha played with the dolls while Lilly, Dillan, William and Romeo played outside.
Suddenly there was a loud bang, everyone froze. "what just happened?" Romeo looked at William. "That was definitely a car crash", William said and at that moment all four parents came running down the driveway. Vicky screamed, "Wes, call for help, it seems there is a young lady laying on the side of the road". As they approached, the young lady laid still, no movement, no breathing…. Lilly thought she was dead, she had to be dead.
Lilly: Mama, why is she not moving?
Vicky: William, take all the kids back inside.
Will stood frozen, he was in shock.
Lisa: "Romeo, take them inside! Now!
Romeo: "Yes mother. Come on guys, lets go inside" He ushered all the kids, but Lilly stood, shocked, scared and unable to move. He gentle took her hand and before he could say anything, they both jumped back as they felt an electric shock between them. She looked up at him and he said, let's go inside.
The police and ambulance arrived as they walked inside. They sat and waited, wondering if the lady was hurt, did she survive and if she did, who was she?
