Author note : No chapter here, just a summary of previous events.

Hi ! Welcome (back ?) to this fic ! As always, it is a new story so you technically can start now but note that it is a sequel. It is the third part of the Hakuouki Neo Alternative Universe.

First part is « Memoirs of a Sword » covering events from 1864 to 1873.

Second part is « The Mirror » covering events from 1873 to 1877.

In this AU, Saito (Fujita) Hajime is married to Chizuru. They have three children : Ayame (boy, born in 1868), Kaede (boy, born in 1873), Tsubaki (girl, born in 1875). All their children are half-Oni. Chizuru is a Yukimura princess and pure blood Oni. She's also a doctor.

Amagiri is Chizuru's uncle, brother of her biological father (who wasn't Kodo). He is loyal to the Kazama clan and was Chikage's tutor.

Okita (Tsunashi) Souji is married to Fujita Haruhi, Hajime's adopted daughter (born in 1858, adopted in 1867). She went to bring him back from hell after he died of tuberculosis. He is now four years younger than Hajime. They have a daughter together, Katsu (born in 1876).

Nagumo Kaoru is back at being the Yukimura heir and is Yukimura Kaoru. He lives in Yase with Sen, his wife. They have a daughter, Ginko (born in 1871).

Nagakura Shinpachi lives in Edo with his wife and Heisuke, who he was taking care of when he was suffering from the Rasetsu curse. He has a son, Sanosuke (born 1871).

Kazama Yoko is Kazama Chikage's mother. Pur blood Oni, she is the head of the Kazama clan of the west. Chikage was killed by Hajime in 1868. She wanted Ayame as hostage in reparation and that's why the Fujita live in hiding as innkeepers.

Shiranui Kyô is not linked to anyone. He lives in Yase (when he's around) with his wife Junko. His son Akira (born 1856) is married and father. Other son Daisuke (born 1860) still lives with his mother. Junko is mute after Kazama Yoko cut her tongue off.

Other infos :

All Rasetsu are cured (Saito and Heisuke because of a cure by Kaoru, Okita because he died and came back good as new.)

All other Shinsengumi members are dead during the war.
