I'm George Kyle (G.K.) Upton, and I'm an echidna.

I wasn't always an echidna though, I was born human and was human for 16 years.

Ki Thorndyke's still my girlfriend at the time I had a car accident, in a miracle I survived after all.

Waking up after the car accident, I found my entire body covered in green fur. Another thing I noticed is that I shrunk by three feet. Initially, I was 6'1". I even noticed that my clothes, and shoes still fit me as before. I found that whoever made me an echidna made sure I had at least something to wear. To me, I was okay with it.

There was one difference, I saw myself wearing gloves. Only during winter have I wore gloves in the past.

I saw my fingers were still there as well.

After examining myself, I went to find my girl. When I got to the mansion that I recognized, I rang the doorbell, and answering was Ki. She looked at me, then she spoke.

"Who are you to be here?" she asked.

"It's me, Ki," I said. "G.K."

"G.K.? Is it you?"

"Yes. Your same boyfriend."

"Then w-what happened?"

"The same thing that happened to you a few months ago."

"That long...Oh, from when I fell from the eggfort."

Ki looked at my head, seeing lots of cuts from my muzzle and forehead. Then asked, "What's that on your face?"

"Car accident blood."

"Your head. It's cut so big. Please, on the couch."

"What? I'm fine."

"You don't want to end up like me when I was held down and had my tail broken."

"What?"

"Please just sit."

"Alright then," I said. "Just get the kit. I'll sit."

Then I went to the couch, and sat while Ki went for medical supplies. When Ki came back, there were others: Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails were with her. "Who's that green furred guy?" Knuckles asked.

"Guys, it's still G.K. He's been my guy for one and a half years," Ki explained. "He has a cut on his head that we need to take care of."

"G.K.?" Sonic asked. "Is that really you?"

"Yes," I answered.

Ki and Tails got the bandages for my head, and while I was laying down, they worked to put bandages on my head. After the bandages were put on, Tails told me, "It will take a week for the cuts to heal up, G.K."

Then I got up, and when I did, I told Ki, "It looks like you need something to wear. We need to go shopping for clothes."

"What?"

"I can see the feelings inside you, Ki. You want to have something to wear. You are uncomfortable naked," I said. "We can go shopping for more clothes our size."

"Do I look uncomfortable to you?"

"Don't worry about that. You'll be more comfortable with clothes on."

"OK then. Let's go."

"Good."

Ki and I went off to some nearby H&M store. While there, I found that Ki was very uncomfortable. "What is it?" I asked.

"G.K., I need to be in the restroom," Ki replied.

"Alright," I said. "Tell me your size, then I'll get you that size."

"I was large. Now I'm at small now."

"Okay, I'll find us small size clothes for both of us then."

Then I went to the section of clothes, and got about $100 worth of clothes for both me and my girl. That included a $30 dress that was business-casual. I first checked my pockets, finding $125 in my wallet. Then I went over to the check out, with the final total as $104.21. I had no problem purchasing. Lastly, I went over to Ki, sitting at the bench near the restroom, and showed her what I bought.

"Okay," I said, pulling out a green dress for her, "I know this is crazy, but can you put on this dress for today?"

"Of course," she replied. "It's been for three months since I had something to wear."

Ki then put on the green dress (which had long sleeves on top, and the skirt dropping to her knees), and it fit her perfectly.

"Now we can head back," I said.

"I'd love to, but I'd rather avoid a lecture from Knuckles," Ki told me. "He never would take no as an answer on me in that regard."

"I understand, but really, we should be going home."

"Okay then. Once we do, you need to have time to recover from your car accident."

Ki and I then went to go back home. By the time, we got back, we saw her cousin, Chris, her grandfather, Charlie, the butler, Tanaka and even Ella, staring at just me.

"Who is that green fellow?" Chris asked.

"He's still G.K. My same boyfriend," Ki replied.

"G.K., is it you?" Charlie asked.

"Yes," I said.

I didn't hear Tanaka or Ella say a thing. I heard others coming too. Indeed, there was the three same friends and also Amy, and Cream as well. Amy and Cream were wondering who I was. Knuckles told them, "Amy and Cream, the green one there is still the same G.K. that Ki was dating."

When he turned his head, he was in disaproval.

"Why that look?" I asked.

"Because we've been over this numerous times," Knuckles replied.

"What? Don't expect Ki and I to be naked 24/7. That's not going to happen," I told him.

"You guys won't be wearing any less than I am, or Sonic, or Tails."

"NO!" I yelled.

Knuckles rolled his eyes, and then said, "If I have to strip you guys, I will!"

"DON'T YOU EVEN DARE!" I snarled. "BECAUSE IF YOU EVEN TRY, I'LL HURT YOU!"

"GUYS, STOP!" Ki yelled.

This made Knuckles and I stop arguing.

"Guys, we can't be arguing over clothes," Ki explained. "I'm not going to put up with it. Besides, if Eggman attacks, we need to work together to defeat him."

"Ki is right," Sonic added. "G.K., what was your side?"

"I got more clothes for both me and Ki. We still consider clothes as necessary like humans do," I replied. "It's that Knuckles needs to understand to leave mobians be if they're comfortable wearing clothes."

"I understand your feelings, G.K., and know humans consider clothes necessary. I also see some mobians wear clothes as well before coming here from my planet," Sonic told me.

Knuckles jumped in. "Look, Sonic, G.K. and Ki need to get used to being mobian."

"I don't see anything wrong with those two wearing clothes," Sonic replied.

"I know you do, but-"

"If they're comfortable with clothes, leave them be."

"Sonic-"

"You wouldn't like it if I forced you to wear something, right?"

"But that's the opposite!"

"Just leave those two be. It's their choice."

"Besides, there are mobians that wear clothes too," I added. "Right, Sonic?"

"G.K. is right," Sonic explained. "Look at Amy and Cream as examples."

Knuckles sighed. "Fine guys," he said. "Have it your way."

Ki was already on her way up to her room. I went to follow. When we made it, Ki told me, "Look, you can't always fight with Knuckles like that."

"He didn't explain why I have to take my clothes off, so I didn't think of him as a friend."

"He is," Ki explained. "When everything is calm, you guys need to apologize to each other."

I sighed. "Okay then," I said. "I didn't know what to do when he looked at us with disaproval just over clothes."

"I get it. Your wounds would be opened if you actually fought over it," Ki warned. "For now, let's get ready for bed. It's a little late."

Then we took our shoes, gloves, and clothes off and went to sleep.
