It was another day at the Hudson Racetrack for Lisa, she had high hopes for Lightning Dexter but he had started to have issues loading into the starting gate. Lisa sighed as Dexter reared up, unseating Liam his jockey once again. Nothing was working and since he wouldn't go in the gate, he couldn't race. Lisa watched as the stable hand took him back to the barn, Liam walked up to her. "I don't know what we are going to do, he just won't load." Lisa sighed "I know, let me work on this issue." Lisa had a couple other horses also racing so she checked on them before leaving for the track, heading to Heartland. On her way, she decided she would see if Amy could come to the track to look at Dexter, she hated to sell him but unfortunately he was costing more by being unable to race than he was worth at the present time. When she arrived at Heartland, Jack was in the yard working on the tractor. She pulled up and parked "Hi" getting out. He wiped his hands on the rag and gave her a hug and kissed her "Hi there." He could tell she was stressed over something. "What's going on?" She leaned against the barn door while he went back to fixing the tractor "Just an issue with a horse of mine, he won't load in the starting gate. Since he won't load, he can't race. I had high hopes for him too." Jack glanced her way "Well what are you going to do now?" She crossed her arms "I was going to see if Amy could meet me tomorrow and take a look at him. I know she's busy though." Jack put his tools up "I'm sure she can make some time in her schedule to go look at him. She might have an idea of why he's resisting the gate." Lisa sighed "Hopefully." They walked back to the house where Lou was making supper. Lisa helped set the table as Jack helped get the rest of the meal prepared. Soon they were all sitting down to eat. As they were eating, Lisa spoke up "Amy, would you have time to come to the racetrack tomorrow? I have a horse that I would like you to look at?" Amy glanced at Lou before she answered knowing she had a packed schedule "Sure, I can fit it in. I can meet you there." Lisa smiled "great, I really appreciate it."

The next day Amy met Lisa at the track, Liam had mounted Dexter and was headed towards the starting gate. As he neared, Dexter began to go backwards, Liam urged him forward before Dexter reared up unseating Liam and sending him to the ground with a thud. Lisa sighed as the paddock master told Lisa Dexter wasn't cleared to race. She looked at Amy, "what do you think?" Amy turned to Lisa. "Have you changed his schedule? How long has he been doing this?"

"He started it a few months ago, I've spent a lot of money lately on him. They say he's fine at gate school, it seems to be at the track. What do you think, can you help?" Amy sighed "Lisa I would love to help you, but Lou made a schedule and she's got a lot on it, she would kill me if added any additional horses right now. I'm sorry." While Lisa was disappointed Amy couldn't help, she understood that she had a full plate already without adding any additional horses to it. Amy and Lisa parted ways, Lisa caught up with Liam and a couple stable hands "I am running out of options, I guess right now my only option is to sell him as a well bred pleasure horse. I'm crazy to do it, but I can't spend anymore money on him when he can't race." Lisa went back to Fairfield to finish out her day.

The next day, Tim got wind of a nice well bred horse that was for sale at the racetrack. When he arrived he soon found out the horse belonged to Lisa from one of the stable hands. He went in search of her, finding her standing at the railing watching a couple two year olds running down the final stretch of the track. He walked up next to her "Just the person I was looking for." Upon hearing Tim speak, she turned and looked at him "You were looking for me?" Tim gave her the goofy grin "I was. I heard you have a horse for sale…..I'm interested" Lisa looked at the other patrons "If you'll excuse me" Lisa started to walk back towards the stables with Tim following "Tim, dexter comes from a long line of great racehorses, but he has issues loading so yes I am selling him. Why are you interested?" Tim stopped "Because I'm always interested in a well bred horse. You know as well as I do, many ex-racehorses make great horses in other disciplines." Lisa looked at Dexter and back to Tim. After some negotiations, they settled on a price and Tim loaded up Dexter and headed to Heartland, he couldn't wait to show Amy his next project.
