This was my chance. This might be the only shot I have to get out of here. Honestly I would probably rather die trying to escape Hell than being sacrificed to bring back my great grandmother. I had been working to escape for weeks to see if I could get a chance to leave. I had successfully whittled down the chains on my feet to the point where if I smashed them against a rock they should shatter, and they did. If I tripped here I probably wasn't going to be able to get up with shackles on my wrists. In that moment I had tunnel vision, all I saw were the elevator doors as the battle raged. I dodged swords and poison spikes and dove between the elevator doors. I would do this, I had to do this, for Nico.

I made it, now I just had to hope that someone could hold the button for 12 minutes straight. Why did underworld elevators have to be so difficult, like honestly NOBODY CARES THAT YOU NEED TO FEEL SPECIAL UNDERWORLD JUST BE A NORMAL ELEVATOR! Gods. Then these two teenagers dove in wearing CHB shirts and they looked pretty beat up. Then I realized that I had no idea where this elevator came up so for all I knew in 12 minutes I would end up in like some hotel or like a guacamole factory. I knew that I had to be ready which meant I should probably be on my feet.

For the next tenish minutes I tried to get up without using my arms because they were still shackled together behind my back all while the pina colada song mocked me. If your going to be this stupid of an elevator the least you could do is have halfway decent music. Anyway as we started to near the top I realized that my leg was in excruciating amounts of pain and was probably broken thank goodness my adrenaline rush lasted long enough for me to be able to get up or I would have had no shot. I winced as I felt the elevator shake knowing we were close to well… earth? I would have offered to help them hold the doors closed but if I did I would just fall down and not be able to get up. Then the elevator started to shake and as I felt my adrenaline rush wear off the pain in my leg grew worse. Then the doors opened. I stepped out of the doors and saw a giant, a sorceress, and two teenagers. I decided to get in one corner and try not to pass out.

To make a long story short… I failed. After a few minutes with the pain I was in combined with the fact that I hadn't eaten in two months I was down for the count.
