Today sucked.
Well, everyday sucked. Why did he think today would be any different? Shane removed his hat, ignoring Morris's constant blabbering as he left JojaMart. There was no point in heading home to change, so he decided to just head straight to the Stardrop Saloon, his usual place.
Surprisingly, and unfortunate to him, it seemed like everyone was there tonight. The usual loners like Sebastian, Clint, and Willy were stuck in the usual spots. Shane snuck by the crowd, unnoticed by all except Marnie. He made his way over to the corner of the bar and sat down, exhausted.
"The usual for you, Shane?" Gus asked, cleaning a class. "Yeah. Thanks." Shane's eyes wandered over the counter. He spotted blue hair, Emily, stuck in the middle of the crowd. She had a cheerful smile across her face, which wasn't unusual for her, but it was strange she wass't behind the counter with Gus. There was a little bit of movement, allowing him to get a slight glimpse of seafoam green hair sitting beside her. Elliot moved quickly in front of the two, blocking his sight again. 'Must be his new girlfriend.' He thought as Gus set down a piping hot pizza slice and large mug of beer.
'Ah, who cares.' He leaned back in his chair, picking up the mug by its handle. Another long day, another night of drinking it away.
