Hello, everyone! This is a new story and I hope everyone will enjoy it! This is in celebration of Shaman King's reboot in 2021! Spoiler alert! This story takes place in the manga so if those who haven't read the manga yet and don't want to be spoiled, you don't have to read this. So without further ado, let's start!
Normal POV
It was the day they had to depart for the Shaman Tournament as they took the ride to their destination and arrived at the Yokocha American Airbase.
" So this is the Yokochan American Airbase." Ryu said
" Whoa! So many Shamans from the tournament have already arrived..." Horohoro exclaimed
" Hehe... These are the people that we have to fight later on... This is getting me really excited!" Ryu exclaimed
" This is like a carnival, if we look at it carefully, I still think it looks too peaceful! Look at it, why did they bring the elephant here for? And where did they get that robot? Look there's even food stands, it's just like a circus!" Horohoro exclaimed
" Oh! Welcome!" Silva greeted
" Ah! Silva, long time no see." Yoh greeted
" Karim, you're also here! What are you doing here?!" Horohoro exclaimed
" Of course, we're earning money from the Shaman fighters." Karim explained
" Our Patch tribe is always doing well, so you should really buy some stuff, thank you!" Silva laughed
" It's actually pretty good." Ren said as he chewed on his food
" Ren! Why are you doing this too?!" Horohoro exclaimed
" Heh... I never thought we'll see each other." Ren said
" Since you arrived early, why didn't you come to my place?" Yoh ask
" If you got distracted by the Patch tribe, you ain't good at all." Horohoro said
" You really want me to go?" Ren ask
" Oh, um, well..."
" Your face is all red!" Horohoro exclaimed
" Huh? When did you relationship become so good?" Silva ask
" Heh. It's a long story." Yoh replied
" Really? Well, it's good that you all look good." Silva said
" Silva, there's no time to talk, we must go prepare for the next event." Karim reminded
" You're annoying. I know, I'll go do it now. Everybody, I have something to do. From today on, everybody will have to fight to the death. Good luck!" Silva said as he walked off
They bid him goodbye along with Karim before Yoh feels a tug on his coat. He looked down to see a little blue haired child tugging.
" Hey there, kid." Yoh greeted as he crouched down, " You can't be in this sort of place. Where are your parents?"
The child then sniffled and cried as Yoh patted his head.
" I guess we should go find them. Guys, he needs help." Yoh said
" Who leaves such a young kid unattended like that?" Ryu wondered
" Let's hurry first and talk later. Hey, Ren! Help us out!" Horohoro shouted
" What?!"
As the four headed off to find the child's parents, a shadow watched over them and tapped a earpiece.
" He's under a group's care now. Yeah, I'll try to keep watch. It won't screw up, he'll be safer with them until we arrive at the village. Don't worry about a thing." The figure said before leaving the premises
- A few minutes later-
After going around and asking people about the child, no one knew who he was as the said child was now asleep in Yoh's arms.
" What do we do?" Horohoro ask
" We have to take him with us." Yoh said
" But he's just a kid! I bet he's only almost 2 years old since he can barely talk!" Horohoro exclaimed
" No one found anyone suspicious lurking around and neither did our spirits sense anything or see anyone resembling him." Ryu said
" Hmph. But I agree with Yoh for once." Ren said as he walked over to the child and pulled up his sleeve, " ... As I suspected."
" An Oracle Bell?!" Horohoro exclaimed
" This kid is a Shaman?!" Ryu exclaimed
" I didn't know that!" Yoh exclaimed
" But then where's his spirit?" Ren wondered
" ... Hey, I found a spot for us to rest at." Yoh said
" Seriously?! We were talking about something really important here!" Horohoro exclaimed
In the end, they were now away from the crowd and were waiting as they drifted off into their thoughts after eating their food that they bought on the way.
" I really have no idea what will happen next." Horohoro said
" Why did they choose this place?" Yoh wondered as the sleeping child was settled on his lap
" They must have a reason to choose this place." Ren said
" Huh..."
" Just a bunch of kids." A voice said
They turned their heads to see another boy in front of them.
" You guys... Can actually bother to ask such questions?" The boy ask
" ... Eh?"
" Who are you?" Ryu ask
" We're just talking casually, you still have to pick a fight over this?" Horohoro ask
" Haha... Saying I'm picking a fight, this is too much." The boy said
Horohoro was sudden punched back onto the pillar he was leaning on by a giant hand.
" This is called picking a fight, Horohoro." The boy said
" Horohoro!"
" Gya! What is that thing?!" Ryu exclaimed
" His name is Spirit of Fire. His temper is not the same as me, it's very easily angered so choose your words carefully. When you... are talking to the Future King, Hao." The boy, Hao, said
" Future?!"
" Future King...?" Ryu repeated
" Hao?"
" Heh. What are you talking about? Such a pretentious guy." Ren said, having used Bason's Oversoul to catch Horohoro
" Damn it..." Horohoro muttered
" You're no king! Because you're going to die here!" Ren exclaimed as he charged at Hao
Hao was lifted up by the Spirit of Fire and flew above Bason.
" Such a small temper, why are you in such a hurry, Ren? Didn't you learn anything when you went home? Or else, are you angry because your friend got hit?" Hao ask
" You!"
" You want to know why I know such things? It's simple. As a King, I know everything!" Hao declared
" ... Hao-sama, please stop now... If we don't go back now, then we'll miss the Patch Plane to the competition ground." A voice said
A group gathered around Hao.
" Ah yes! I already made my introductions. Let's go." Hao said as he turned back to them, " Yoh. The reason why I came is because I am really moved by your determination when I saw your last battle. If it's you, I'm sure you can become a good lackey for me. Therefore, you must win every fight. For me, the Future King, fight with Hao." Hao said as they went off
After awhile, they were instructed to board the Patch Plane Enormous and were flying to the USA. The child in Yoh's arms had awoken by the time the plane had taken off.
" In the end, we had to take the kid with us." Ryu said
" Yeah... We can't just leave him alone like that." Yoh said
" At least the base isn't a competition ground..." Ren said
" I'll teach that guy a lesson!" Horohoro exclaimed
" You still mad about that?" Yoh ask
" What?! He's in the same plane as I am, of course I'm mad!" Horohoro exclaimed
Yoh turned back in his seat to look at Hao and his group. Hao spotted him as he waved to him while Yoh stood up before waving to him, earning a facepalm from Ren.
" Don't wave to him!" Horohoro exclaimed
" But he is a weirdo. All his lackeys managed to enter the tournament. Why do they still listen to him?" Ryu wondered
" It's no use thinking about such things. Once we get to fight him, we'll know the answer." Ren said
" But..."
" Forget it, it'll take another 12 hours to USA. If you keep getting mad, it's bad for you. We should relax and go slow." Yoh said
" ... Can't you do something about that attitude of yours?" Horohoro ask
" ... Standing against the flow makes me want to puke." Yoh said, covering his mouth
" Don't come near me! And give me the kid! Hey, is there a doctor on board?!" Horohoro exclaimed
A man then turned behind as they stared at each other for a few moments before helping Yoh.
- 10 hours later-
Yoh and the others have drifted off to sleep as the child had been active in Yoh's arms again after waking up half an hour prior, looking around the plane.
" They're all so relaxed." A man beside Hao said
" The main event has already begun." Another man said
While his lackeys talk amongst themselves, Hao eyes a figure staring at Yoh's group and his eyes slightly narrows.
" So, isn't it important to relax? But, what I'm saying is, no matter what happens, they can still keep their calm." Hao said
" You are absolutely right, Hao-sama." The priest said
" We'll soon arrive, Master Hao. And in 3 seconds the chief will come out." The little boy said
Just as he said, the monitors flickered on as the chief was soon on screen.
" Everybody, thank you for enduring this flight." The chief said
" Huh?"
" We're there?" Horohoro ask
" We are currently 40,000 ft above land. The village of the Patch tribe is 1,200km away." The chief announced
" Then why are you announcing so early?!"
" What's the point of waking us up?"
" Starting from now, everybody please, get there yourself, we will only wait for 3 months. We will not tell any of you how to get there." The chief announced
" Hey, what's the meaning of this?!"
" Are you joking with us?!"
" Please remember a Shaman fight is a colosseum for the amount of furyoku. In that case, round one begins! The object of this round is... to arrive at Patch village within 3 months. Please hold onto your things, once this message is over, we 10 tribesmen will disappear." The chief announced
" ... Huh?"
The plane immediately disappeared as they all started falling.
" Wah!"
" This is great, Ren! I'm finally flying!" Yoh exclaimed
" You're mixing up flying and dropping." Ren said
" Come on, this isn't a dream! Shaman Fight has already begun! We have to first find a way to land safely!" Horohoro exclaimed as he looked over to Ryu, " Don't faint now!"
" Ah! Horohoro!" Yoh exclaimed
" His reaction is a bit overexaggerated." Ren said
" Ah shit! Kororo, let's go! A descent on Oversoul!" Horohoro said
" That's the technique he showed me on the building." Yoh said
" It's pathetic." Hao said, flying above them on the Spirit of Fire, " Sorry, but your little furyoku won't suffice. We're more than 10,000m up, your furyoku won't get you out of this situation. Exhausted, you'll be squashed at the bottom."
" What?! You dare...?!" Horohoro exclaimed
" Contrary to my Oversoul and Ren's, my Spirit of Fire is capable of flying for a longer period of time. You are already finding yourselves in a critical situation. Do you want to get on with us? What do you say?" Hao ask
" No way! Stupid idiot! The others are in the same situation!" Horohoro exclaimed
" Yes, they're in the same galley." Hao said
They noticed that others were flying using their own ways.
" Eh?"
" Haha, everybody managed to get here so they must have some skill of surviving." Hao said
" Hehe, look Eliza. Everybody is falling down." The doctor said
" Ah! You were that guy from just now!" Horohoro exclaimed
" And the kid that destroyed your feet is also falling down! That's so great, Eliza!" The doctor exclaimed
" You're falling with your head first! How is that great?!" Horohoro exclaimed
" That's true. My Oversoul will be greatly damaged from the fall. And more than half my bones will be crushed, however, I drugged myself with morphine. So I won't feel any pain, then I'll heal myself and everything will be fine." The doctor said and continued falling
" Damn it!"
" Since you don't want my help, I won't force you. I'll be watching your progress at the Patch tribe village. Eh, you should think of a plan quick. Look! You can see the ground!" Hao said
" What should we do then? If this continues, we'll die!" Horohoro exclaimed
That was when Yoh punched him.
" Yoh?! ... Yoh... Why did you hit me?!" Horohoro exclaimed
" Calm down, Horohoro. If you think you can't succeed then... we will be unable to accomplish things we can do." Yoh said
" Huh?!"
" He means that there'e a way to survive. If we can use our furyoku for a long period of time, then why don't we focus all of it at once is what he means. The second we land, everyone focus their Oversoul into one point to protect ourselves." Ren said
" Stop joking! In order to create an Oversoul, you need a lot of concentration! In this kind of condition, how can we concentrate?!" Horohoro exclaimed
" That's why I said 'Calm down, Horohoro'. In order to make a strong Oversoul, you'll need a lot of furyoku and in your condition right now, it's impossible to create an Oversoul." Yoh said
" This is not a test to see if we can fly or not. It's a test to see if we can concentrate under pressure in this test, whoever thinks of death loses first!" Ren said
" There's nothing to worry about, we should let everything flow like nature." Yoh said
" ... When are you going to get up, Ryu?" Horohoro ask as he used his snowboard to slice a part of Ryu's hair, " Even if I remain calm, if you're still in your dreams, then you'll go to hell."
" Huh?! What?!"
They all took out their respective weapons.
" Let's go, everyone!" Yoh exclaimed
" Oversoul full power!"
They landed on the ground as the smoke cleared.
" Is anyone hurt?" Ren ask
" It was a lot easier than expected." Yoh said
" That's because I'm here." Ren said
" What happened just now? I feel like a large part of my hair is missing." Ryu said
" You still have time to talk about this stuff?" Horohoro muttered
" ... Hey, where's the kid?" Ren ask
" Huh? Wasn't he still...?" Yoh muttered as he realized that his arms were empty, " Ah!"
" Uh oh! Hey, kid!" Horohoro shouted
" Where did he go?!" Ryu exclaimed
They heard a squeal from above them as the child came floating down into Yoh's arms again while cheerfully waving his arms around.
" You're safe!" Yoh exclaimed
" How did you do that?!" Horohoro exclaimed
The child looked up and waved as they looked up as well to see a white divine creature with planets floating around it.
" What is that?!" Ryu exclaimed
" Is that... his spirit?" Yoh wondered
The creature disappeared as a paper floated down on the child.
" What's this? ... 'Aichi'?" Yoh read
" Ai!"
" Oh! That's your name!" Yoh said
" You seriously believed that?!" Horohoro exclaimed
" But we can't calling him kid all the time. Alright, we'll call you Aichi from now on." Yoh said
" Ai!"
" So... which way should we go now?" Ren ask
" Does this road go straight to the horizon? So where is the Patch tribe's village?" Yoh ask
" How do we know? First we need to make sure if we're in USA or not." Horohoro said
" We are in USA. Look, this is the famous road that was built in 1560... Route 66." Ren said
" What... It's this famous?" Ryu wondered
" Wow, Master Ren is so knowledgeable." Bason praised
" However, USA is a democratic country. I don't even know where we are right now." Ren said
" Don't worry. Amidamaru, it's your turn to work." Yoh said
Amidamaru appeared and flew up.
" Let me find a city in the sky." Amidamaru said
" Thanks!"
As they waited for Amidamaru to get back from his lookout in the sky, the same figure watched them from above, being careful not to be seen.
" ... They have talent, but so slow. Stay safe. I'll see you at the village." The figure said before flying off on a giant hand hidden in the cloud
As Amidamaru returned and reported what he had seen, Ryu was doing something else.
" Let's go, Tokagero! This is the skill I learned 'Super Oversoul Big Thumb'!" Ryu exclaimed
A truck immediately came driving to them and stopped as a man looked out of the window.
" Come on. Hop on." The man said
" Can this be true?!" The other three exclaimed
" This car seems like it's going to LA. The old man said he'll let us off at the nearest city." Ryu said
" Really? That's great, there was a truck passing by, we're really lucky." Ren said
" That wasn't luck!" Ryu exclaimed
" No, I think being able to land safely was lucky. Because there were so many contestants but we haven't seen even one. However, if we land in the mountains, it will be hell." Horohoro said
" Heh. You need skill to be lucky, right? But I think the Patch tribe really overdid it." Ren said
" But at times like this, Master Yoh is still so carefree." Ryu said
Yoh was sitting on the roof of the truck with Aichi's eyes sparkling while he looks at the road in front of him as he cheered.
" Enjoying yourself, huh? Heh. This isn't bad, Amidamaru." Yoh said
" Yeah. There's nothing but road and nature, and the sky is full of stars. It's so fascinating. But Master Yoh, are you alright?" Amidamaru ask
" Eh?"
" Landing in such a big country. You'll never know what will happen, aren't you scared?" Amidamaru ask
" About this, we're already here so now we should enjoy the trip." Yoh said
They finally arrived at the nearest town to search for any information they could find about the village of the Patch tribe, but once they did find some information, they were given a shock that the Patch might have been devils. In the end, they got information again to someone named Lilirara.
" Alright, can you still keep up, Aichi?" Yoh ask
" Ai!"
" Then let's go!" Yoh said
