Hello, all the FMA fans. We will discuss all the facts, theories, clues everything one by one, but everything starts with an opening.

So, we are also going to start with Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood's first opening - "Again".

'Again' is my favourite opening not only because of its scenes but also because of its lyrics and how they both perfectly fit with the story. You can say that this single opening explains the complete story.

Please tell which opening or ending is your favorite and why.

Let's get back to 'Again' I am sure after reading this if you will watch the opening, you will feel it much differently than before.

*Spoilers of the complete story of Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood*.

Let's start then.

If you look closely in the first 15 seconds of the opening, then it explains complete past of Hohenheim before the starting of the story plot, through his eyes. The first face came of slave number 23 (Hohenheim in young age), then the face of Trisha then his two boys and at last his current face. If you translate the lyrics of that scenes it said that "I have a long life ahead of me to forget about past. But I wants to fix the things which I have left" which also fits perfectly with Hohenheim. He had a long life because unless something unexpected happen (like Promised day) he was suppose to live for few more centuries, which is a really long time to forget about Trisha and two boys, but he wants to return back to them. Isn't it kind of sweat.

Then the story came to the present time with a scene of Ed and Al in front of their burning house which also symbolizes something burning inside them. Showing this scene in the starting also mean that the journey of both boys started the day they burned their house.

Next scene came of Ed who was thinking that he should go after his dreams right now (getting Al's body back) then why did he stick between other things i.e caring about the military and other peoples. These are the translation of the lyrics.

Then we see Al who was missing his old childhood days and how he is so desperate to do normal things like normal people.

Then came my favourite scene. This scene looks like a normal scene until you understand its real meaning. The scene between Maes and Roy. They are standing facing in the different direction as if looking each other's back to support each other but when Roy turn around, Maes was not there, but a fire in his place and Roy become shocked. If you have seen the anime than you can understand what this means. *cries* This is really a sad scene, but wait more sad scenes are also coming.

A girl is lying covering her eyes. This is Riza who is saying that she doesn't want anyone to pity her. This perfectly fit her too because even after so much has happened to her she always remains strong and never let anyone see her broken side. From her half-mad father, who uses her in his research to fight against homunculus. This is really a lot. She is really very strong, how she had moved forward from her past to reach here and that's why she trust Roy so much, because he was also a part of her past. If you want Riza's whole past then comment. I can write a chapter for that too.

Moving forward.

Puck up some tissue papers, because another emotional scene came in front of Elric's house, we can see first little Ed shake and lost his two limbs, then little Al shakes to lost his entire body. Till here it is fine but after that little Winry also get shake but didn't lose anything. Then why is she here, in this scene? Maybe because she did lose something. Maybe she lose something which cannot be seen by eyes. On the day of human transmutation, not only Ed and Al, but Winry also lost her childhood. At the age of 10, she had seen things which could make even an adult afraid. She had seen Ed on that day, two limbs gone and covered in blood and Al, a soulless piece of steel. Her two best friends growing up were a hallow piece of armor and a boy with two artificial limbs. Can you really imagine her to be innocent naïve girl after this. That's why she is here in this scene. Also if the translate the lyrics here - "Tears can't end your sins, you have to bear then painfully, forever". This also makes perfect sense, because they did bear pain of there sins with tears and pain both.

Then we see Gluttony, Lust and Envy rising with the help of each other, while Military is fighting against them. Then why greed is there? Maybe because greed was always against other homunculi. But neither Military nor greed can fight against their reality, this is where we see face of King Bradley. Well, This all makes sense.

There is scene of Ed fighting with humonculus. I just wanted to mention about this scene because of lyrics here. I just couldn't convenes myself to skip this. Lyrics here are - 'I am only living to fulfill my dream' Ed was always a part of some deadly fights, but he never got hesitated at all because he was really living for just one dream (Return Al's body). He had no other desires other than that.

After that another nice scene. Scar came in the picture sitting below a tree in rain and darkness saying that he has to do this he can't take another way. But then some light came to his face cutting that darkness. He stood up and run towards that light because in the latter half of the series he did took another way.

Edward says that there are people who care for him so he will continue his journey while carrying his pain with him all the time. (Again being in a fight scene)

Then a girl lying down covering her eyes, This is actually 10 years old Winry saying - 'I am remembering those old times' This could mean from present remembering that time of age 10.

At the last scene - both boys standing near sunset in human form, as a clue that in the end, everything will be all right. They are casting a very large shadow because they both really cast something very big on the lives of other people around them.

Comment fast, if right now you have a tear in your eyes.

If you have already watched the Fullmetal alchemist anime of 2003 and kind of sad at the end, then imagine. Maybe after watching the sadness of both boys, Truth felt sad and said 'Again' to return back to the starting of series, means starting of brotherhood anime. Maybe that's why there are 2 amines of FMA. I know this is not the real reason, real reason is completely different. but this did felt good to imagine. Tell me your suggestions. This was something off the topic.

Returning back, So this is the complete explanation of the first opening. Now watch it again while listening all the lyrics carefully. you will surely fell some difference. These are all the points that I found interesting in that opening. If you get something else, share it with us. Also tell me how many of these you already knew.

Also what you want to read next? Any suggestions?

I am thinking of writing a chapter about Roy and Maes's friendship. How does Maes motivate Roy to go for fuhrer's post, and why exactly Roy decided to do it, and most importantly how much was Maes's role for pushing Roy to fuhrer's seat.

Another option is the past story of Riza, Or maybe something about homunculus. What you want to read next.

Thank you. Make sure to follow.
