(The Millennium Puzzle spun as it descended down through a darkened sky.)

Calling, and Felling. The voice in my head

Singing the songs of my pain

(After a few seconds of falling, the puzzle turned into light, and exploded into a rain of Duel Monsters cards. The scenery then changed into Thomas Billinton and his friends going by bus to Bridlington as the title appeared.)

YU-GI-OH! The Sodor Chronicles

(We then pan over to Thomas Billinton out in the rain, looking at the sky. After being lost in depression since the end of summer, he had begun to recover and reconnect with his friends, along with his passion for Duel Monsters, and even begin to smile once more. But in another screen, we see a teenage girl named Frankie Clarke looking up at the rain as well. But unlike Thomas, she saw no light in her future - mostly darkness - due to something terrible happening to her.)

When despair's in my heart, the tears of misery seep out. They stain my cheeks and shut my eyes.

What do we hope to find? Where do we hope to go in life, when there's no hope left?

(We now see a collage of Thomas's closet friends; Percy Avonside, James Hughes, Molly Russell, Toby Holden, Mavis Drewry, Edward Stewart, Stanley Hudswell, Rosie Vulcan, Gordon Gresley, Henry Stanier, and even the love of Thomas's life - Emily Stirling. In a new scene, Frankie stood over a tombstone, soon kneeling down as her eyes closed with tears seeping out and she wept for whoever had died. After a few seconds, she clenches a fist and opens her eyes fiercely, turning golden for some reason. Uh-oh...)

I won't let fear blind my reality

I'll keep you safe from my heart's darkness

Let's go and look ahead

(The screen panned towards some more new characters. First was a young boy named Theo Aveling who Summoned a couple of rather intimidating-looking stuffed animals called 'Frightfurs'. Next came a teenage girl named Lexi Thomas, who briefly winked at the camera and playfully stuck her tongue out as she called out some 'Amazoness' monsters. Following Lexi was a gentleman named Merlin Gillemere, wearing a top hat and magician's cape, who called upon many ninja monsters. In a new screen, a serious-looking young man named Hurricane Decapod Summoned many robotic-looking Winged Beast-Type monsters called Raidraptors.)

Thanks to our meeting, the world now is full of color

I will protect you with our bond, unseen from the heartless

(Recklessly driving a Duel Runner into the sky was a Turbo Duelist named Ace Enzo, who gives a thumbs up and flashes a grin at the camera, making his teeth sparkle. Thomas soon found himself in a battle against Frankie, who was now covered in an aura of darkness with her eyes golden and an insane smile on her face. Just what was wrong with this girl? Either way, she called forth three monsters from a Burning Abyss Deck that resembled Dante, Virgil, and Beatrice from the Divine Comedy Dante's Inferno. Thomas, meanwhile, had his own monsters at his side; 'Dark Magician', 'Dark Magician Girl', the 'Poker Knight' Trio, 'Kuriboh', 'Magician's Valkyria', 'Enlightenment Paladin', and 'Ebon High Magician'. 'Dark Magician' and 'Dante' both charged at each other, clashing with their weapons. Thomas let out a determined shout as his Millennium Puzzle started glowing, causing the Millennium Symbol to glow on his forehead.)

(Several more scenes were shown, such as Sailor John's pirates all freed from prison, with Diesel 10 standing alongside them, Gordon and Henry were both kidnapped by the pirates, evolved forms of 'Red-Eyes Black Dragon' were shown flying into the sky, Ace becoming terrified of a monkey on his head to the amusement of others, Merlin closed his eyes and covering himself in his cape, making those around him form anime sweatdrops on the back of their heads, Lexi happily cuddling with a rather glum-looking Theo, and finally a silhouette of Sailor John surrounded by light.)

Calling and with wings invisible

Let us extinguish darkness, and erase the weakness that lies in my soul!

(The final image was of Thomas standing over the scenery of Bridlington with his friends standing nearby as the title card returned one last time.)

YU-GI-OH! The Sodor Chronicles

Title: A Wicked Shadow

"My name...is Frankie Clarke..." echoed a female voice. "I am the niece of the late John Clarke... John is, or rather was, my Uncle."

Opening up over the ocean, a large plane was flying towards its destination, and someone could be seen looking out the window of one part.

(elsewhere...)

Inside the plane, an 17-year old teenage girl with short blue/green hair was seated in a fancy-looking seat. Her clothing consisted of blue jeans, a midriff-baring black tank top, and a long naval captain's coat, and she wore boots. Currently, this girl was watching something on a small TV set... It was a rerun of the final duel of the Battle City tournament.

"Here I come, Marik!" Thomas Billinton, who was on TV, announced. "I now activate the power of my 'Ragnarok' Spell Card!" He then took the only remaining card from his hand, several cards from his Deck, two from his Extra Deck, and only a few from his Graveyard. "Again, when I control any two monsters with the names 'Dark Magician', 'Dark Magician Girl', 'Dark Sage', or 'Magician of Black Chaos' on my side of the field, I can proceed to remove every remaining monster card from my hand, Deck, Extra Deck, and Graveyard to allow my two 'Dark Magicians' to go and wipe out every monster you control on the field and remove them from play!"

"S-Stop...it!" wailed Dark Marik, who was merged with the 'Egyptian God' Monster 'The Winged Dragon of Ra'. "Y-You can't...win!"

"Too late!"

The sky started to turn all yellow as purple orbs floated out. Out of the first two orbs came the souls of 'Slifer the Sky Dragon' and 'Obelisk the Tormentor'. The remaining orbs revealed to be the souls of Thomas's remaining monsters; the 'Poker Knights', 'Red-Eyes Black Dragon', 'Kuriboh', 'Archfiend of Gilfer', 'Buster Blader', 'Silver Fang', the 'Magnet Warriors' ('Valkyrion the Magna Warrior' included), 'Black Luster Soldier', 'Obnoxious Celtic Guardian', 'Big Shield Gardna', 'Giant Soldier of Stone', 'Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast', 'Skull Archfiend of Lightning', 'Dark Paladin the Ultimate Magical Swordsman', 'Magician's Valkyria', 'Feral Imp', etc..

"The power of 'Ragnarok' envokes the souls of all the monsters I have ever used." explained Thomas, holding up many of his remaining monster cards. "Now, go forth, my friends! Take down Marik's monster, 'The Winged Dragon of Ra', here and now!"

The monster souls obeyed and charged into battle. Before long, the monster souls all started to approach the defenseless 'The Winged Dragon of Ra' (and Dark Marik).

"Stop it! STOP IT!" screamed Dark Marik in panic. "Call them off... CALL THEM OFF, RIGHT NOW!"

But it was no use at all; he was powerless to stop the play. 'Slifer the Sky Dragon' coiled itself around 'The Winged Dragon of Ra', as 'Obelisk the Tormentor' held the enemy 'God' monster down. Meanwhile, the rest of the much smaller monsters down below kept hold of 'The Winged Dragon of Ra's' lower body.

"Let me go! LET ME GO!" The evil man ranted some more.

Suddenly, little 'Kuriboh' floated up towards Dark Marik and made a couple of taunting 'Kuribi' sounds aimed directly at him before going back down to join its friends. The monsters all started floating towards the sky.

"Now, my two 'Dark Magicians'!" commanded Thomas. "Finish Marik and 'Ra' both off!"

The two Spellcasters obeyed and crossed their scepter and wand respectively and began charging a mighty blast. The sky unveiled a 'Spellbinding Circle'-like hexagon, all whilst Dark Marik continued to scream in rage and horror.

"Dark..." chanted 'Dark Magician'.

"Burning..." chanted 'Dark Magician Girl'.

"MAGIC!" The two Spellcasters shouted in unison (Thomas added his voice in for dramatic effect).

The two spellcasters fired the blast, which consumed 'The Winged Dragon of Ra', as well as Dark Marik.

"UUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-!" screamed Dark Marik in some more pain.

The whole arena was covered by a bright light, and everyone atop the tower covered their eyes. Finally, when the light faded away, 'The Winged Dragon of Ra' and all of the other monster-based souls...were gone. From there, 'Dark Magician' and 'Dark Magician Girl' both lowered themselves back onto Thomas's side of the field. The teenage girl, who had finished watching the duel, kept a cold scowl on her face.

"Thomas Billinton..." The teenage girl thought to herself. "If it had not been for him, my Uncle would still be alive today." She dug into her pocket and pulled out three Duel Monsters cards. "But mark my words, he alone 'will' pay for what he has done, and my Uncle's murder will finally be avenged."

Very quickly, she pocketed the cards and gazed up head.

(outside...)

Meanwhile, the plane continued to fly towards its primary destination - the Island of Sodor.

(elsewhere...)

The next day, at Sodor High School, all was busy for an early January... Voices were heard coming from inside the building...

"Say what?!" The excited voice of James Hughes cried out.

(elsewhere...)

Inside the Tidmouth Classroom, Rebecca Eastleigh was giving some great news to her class...

"It's as I just said, James." The homeroom teacher was saying. "We will be attending a School Trip to Bridlington - a whole week trip, that is."

"Bridlington..." The various students were murmuring to each other.

"Alright, alright, settle down." laughed Rebecca, happy to see her students looking excited for the trip.

"Boy, this is gonna be exciting." cheered Percy Avonside. "We're going to Bridlington for a whole week."

"It must have taken Sir Topham Hatt tons of time to plan something like this out." added Emily Stirling, before looking to Thomas Billintion (who was now 16-years old like she was). "What do you think, Thomas? This will be a fun trip, right?"

Thomas nodded. "No doubt about it. I wonder if we'll meet any new duelists while there?"

"If we're lucky-" said Stanley Hudswell. "-maybe we'll also get to meet Ace Enzo."

"Wait, what?" blinked Rosie Vulcan.

"Who's Ace Enzo?" added Edward Stewart. "I've never heard of him."

Stanley took something out of his pocket and showed it to his friends. It was a picture of a blonde-haired young man in a yellow jumpsuit giving a thumbs up to the cameras along with flashing a grin.

"Ace is a Turbo Duelist originating from Australia." explained Stanley. "But he got tired of his surroundings and decided to travel the world."

"So, besides Matt, Mike, Carlie, and James #2... Ace is also a Turbo Duelist?" asked James.

"That'd be right."

"And he'll be visiting Bridlington for the week?" added Oliver Collett.

"As far as I know." answered Stanley, nodding again.

"You know-" said Thomas. "-I've always dreamed of traveling the world ever since I was little."

"That's nice." smiled Emily. "Maybe one day when we're finally married, we could do that together?"

Thomas nodded. "Of course, Emily."

Yup, this was going to be exciting for our heroes... Or perhaps not, because things were not going to go as smoothly as one may expect...

(elsewhere...)

Outside the school, someone wearing a black cloak (similar to what the Rare Hunters wear) was using a special device to listen in on the conversation inside the classroom, overhearing everything.

"Hmm... These kids will be going to Bridlington, eh?" The mysterious man mused. "The captain will want to know about this when she finally arrives."

And he took off for his car. Uh-oh. Just who is this mysterious person, and who is this 'captain' he speaks of?

(elsewhere...)

At the Knapford Airport, a Duel Runner was speeding into the parking lot—but instead of parking, the rider was instead heading towards a barbed wire fence, which blocked access to the runway for planes.

"Hey, watch out!" cried a security guard, who was on the other end of the fence. "Turn your bike around!"

The Duel Runner, however, did not slow down... Soon, it reached a pile of trash in the shape of a ramp, went up it, and jumped into the sky...

"WHOO-HOO!" The mysterious driver cheered.

After clearing the fence, the Duel Runner eventually came back to the ground before slowing and screeching to a stop. This allowed the security guard to run over to the person driving the Duel Runner.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" he demanded crossly, but stopped when the mysterious driver simply handed him some money. "Huh?"

"I'm just here to meet someone." The mysterious man insisted innocently. "I'll pay you to pretend you never saw anyone, like me, jump that fence."

With that said, the rider revved his Duel Runner and drove off, leaving the security guard looking very confused over what he just witnessed. Meanwhile, in the middle of the runway, a plane had finally touched down. The mysterious man, still driving around the runway, smiled when he saw the plane soon stopping.

"Right on time." The man commented pleasantly. "Let's go greet the captain."

Minutes later, the passengers were disembarking from the plane, and one of them happened to be the same teenage girl. The sun light briefly caused her to recoil and cover her eyes, but she soon eased up and walked down the steps. Once the girl was on the ground, she saw a Duel Runner driving up and stopping beside her.

"Welcome, Captain Frankie." The mysterious man greeted. "I have news you might to hear."

The girl (Frankie) remained cold-looking. "I'm listening." she nodded, waiting for an answer.

"As it turns out-" The mysterious man went on. "-that kid you're after is going on a trip to Bridlington with his class for about a week."

"I see." whispered Frankie. Soon, a small smile crept onto her face. "You did well in finding that info out."

"I'm not worthy, captain." grinned the mysterious man.

"Well, you've done your part." nodded Frankie. "Now, come... Most of our followers are waiting at our hideout. The rest will follow behind."

With that said, she and the mysterious man got onto the Duel Runner and took off out of the Airport. Just...who was that mysterious Turbo Duelist, and why does he drive so recklessly? But most importantly, just who IS Frankie? Well, that will all be unveiled in due time.

(elsewhere...)

Outside the Billinton household two days later, Thomas, with a very full-looking backpack, had just opened and ran out the door to catch his bus.

"Bye, Mom!" The blue-haired boy called out.

"Have a safe trip, honey!" The voice of Mrs. Billinton called back.

The bus doors opened up, and Thomas climbed aboard. When the doors shut, the vehicle started to drive down the road.

(inside...)

Inside the bus, Thomas sat down next to Percy, who was very excited for the school trip.

"Today's the day!" Percy squeed. "Not only to we get to go on a new adventure, but we also get out of school for about a week!"

"I'm excited for it." agreed Thomas. "And I heard news from Henry and Gordon - they're both coming along for the trip!"

"What?!" gasped Percy. "But how is that even possible?"

"Apparently, being alumni lets them take part in certain school events."

"But nobody ever told me of that!" The green-haired boy protested.

Thomas smiled cheekily. "Well, now you know." he chuckled. "Isn't that right, Percy?"

And so, Percy decided to say no more on the subject, although he did turn to look out the window at the scrolling scenery.

(elsewhere...)

Later in the grounds of Sodor High School, the Tidmouth Classroom students were all gathered while waiting for the bus to arrive. Joining them on the big trip was Nia Kurr, who was serving as a chaperone along with Rebecca.

"Come on, bus!" prayed James. "Come on, come on, come on!"

"I'm so excited!" squealed Molly Russell.

"Me too!" added Mavis Drewry.

"Who knows what Bridlington has to offer?" asked Toby Holden.

"Likely diners, fancy hotels, and all that other good stuff." answered Gordon Gresley, who had graduated from Sodor High School but was allowed to come on the trip.

"I'd like to see a nature park." put in Henry Stanier, another former student from Sodor High School. "Of course, the trip will be fun regardless!"

As the students spoke, Nia was speaking to Rebecca...

"The students sure are excited." The African young woman admired.

"Well can you really blame them?" grinned Rebecca, purring up to her lesbian partner. "Besides, I'm just as excited for this trip myself."

"Same here." agreed Nia. "Thanks for inviting me to come along with you and your class."

"Oh, think nothing of it. You'd do the same for me."

The two young women then embraced to share a quick kiss, just as a school bus-like horn was heard. Before long, the bus finally pulled up at the side of the road.

"Alright! Single file, everyone!" advised Rebecca.

The students slowly lined up in front of the bus, just as the doors opened and revealed the driver to be Bertie Regal. Bertie was shown to be a man with red hair like James, but wore clothing based on what a bus driver would wear when on duty.

"Well, come on aboard, everyone!" advised Bertie, who was grinning with excitement. "We have a city to visit!"

One-by-one, the students entered the bus. While waiting to climb aboard, the rest resumed their chatting with one another...

"Hey, Thomas... Didn't Bertie used to race in race cars in his youth?" asked James. "And didn't your Dad used to do the same?"

"I remember." confirmed Thomas. "They had a friendly rivalry when they were in the world of race cars, and even took part in one such race at one point."

"I never knew that your Dad was a race car driver in his youth, Thomas." admired Emily. "It must be good to reminisce on happy memories."

Soon, the bus was loaded.

(inside...)

Inside the bus, the students and teachers were seated, waiting for the trip to get underway. Bertie, meanwhile, spoke into his walkie talkie...

"HQ, this is Red Bus, we're on our way to Bridlington." The red-haired man reported.

"Roger that, Red Bus." replied the voice (male) of someone at the School Bus building. "We at HQ copy, and hope that you enjoy your trip to Bridlington."

After a few seconds of silence...

"YAHOOOHOO!" hollered Bertie in a warcry-like way. "LET'S BOOGIE!"

The students started cheering and whooping in response.

(outside...)

Outside, the bus quickly started up, and then took to the road. To the students of Sodor High School, their school trip to Bridlington had officially begun.

"Bridlington..." The voice of Percy begun.

"...here we come!" added the voice of James.

"This is going to be so exciting!" finished the voice of Rosie.

Soon, the bus was out of sight.

(elsewhere...)

After two-three hours of driving, the school bus found itself nearing a large sign on the side of the road.

(inside...)

Inside the bus, there was a ton of chatter going on between Thomas and the likes. Edward, meanwhile, was looking out the window when he saw the sign that read...

"'Bridlington - 1 km'..." The intelligent, blue-haired boy mumbled. "Hey, everyone! We're nearing Bridlington!"

That got the attention of everyone aboard the bus.

"About time!" rejoiced James.

"Where will we be staying during our trip?" asked Mavis, who was seated behind both Rebecca and Nia.

Rebecca took out a slip of paper from her purse. Looking it over for a few seconds, the brown-haired young woman smiled at what she saw...

"It says here we'll be staying at the Bridlington Inn." answered Rebecca. "It's a big hotel with enough rooms for all of us—although a number of you will have to bunk with a roommate for the duration of the stay."

"Can Gordon and Henry both bunk with me in my room?!" begged James. "Please, please... Oh, please?!"

Nia chuckled. "Sure, James, if that's what you want."

"Alright!" cried James, jumping up from his seat. "The trio's back together for another whirlwind adventure!"

"Oh, James..." groaned Molly, looking a little annoyed with her boyfriend's antics.

(outside...)

The bus continued down the road towards its destination... The bad news? Thomas and everyone else were unaware that they were being followed...by a car.

(inside...)

Inside the car, Frankie was seated in the passenger seat, while another man, who was wearing a familiar-looking pirate-like outfit, was driving the vehicle. In the back were two more adults (one male and one female).

"Captain, we'll be reaching Bridlington shortly." reported the driver, who's left eye was twitching with what could be insanity. "When we get there, what then? Do we take care of the kid almost immediately?"

"We proceed to the hideout - I'll deal with the boy when I'm good and ready." answered Frankie, who then took her Deck out of her pocket. "Yes... When I'm good and ready."

"Hey! Sledge wants revenge, now!" The burly man in the back complained, speaking in the third person. "Red-haired boy needs to pay for humiliating Sledge!"

"Can't you just shut up about revenge for five minutes?!" demanded the young woman also in the back seat. "I want revenge too, but you don't see me complaining about it!"

"Both of you, keep quiet!" snapped Frankie. "You will be able to gain your revenge on those who wronged you, but 'only' when I'm finished with what I want!"

"Y-Yes, captain." The two adults in the back seats of the car obeyed, knowing that their leader was right.

(outside...)

And so, the car continued on its way down the road... Yup, it smells like trouble is afoot for our heroes.

(elsewhere...)

At long last, the bus arrived in the city of Bridlington. Some of the students were looking through the windows at their new surroundings. There were fancy houses, lots of good diners and other restaurants, a couple of stores, and even a mall.

(inside...)

Inside the bus...

"Someone pinch me, I think I'm going crazy..." whispered James, amazed at his surroundings. Just then... "OUCH! Hey, what was that for?!"

"Tee hee hee..." giggled Molly, who had been the one who pinched the red-haired boy. "You said for someone to pinch you, James."

"That was a figure of speech!" whined James. "I didn't mean literally!"

"Oops!" Molly laughed once more. "My bad."

James sulked as he rubbed the spot on his arm he had been pinched on.

"Hey, Emily, maybe before we leave this town, why don't we go to that spa?" Thomas suggested to his lover, having spotted a nice-looking spa.

"I hear it even has a hot spring." said Emily, before smiling mischievously. "Maybe we could take a dip in it, thus seeing the other in all our glory?"

That rather dirty idea made Thomas's face go as red as James's hair. Although the blue-haired boy wouldn't mind wanting to see Emily naked (and him going naked for her), the mere mention of that idea still made him feel a little uneasy.

"Oh, I'm just messing with you, Tommy." giggled Emily, seeing her boyfriend's red face.

Hearing this made Thomas feel a bit more relaxed about the whole thing.

(outside...)

And so, the bus drove down the road, with the sidewalks populated with roaming civilians and other stands.

(elsewhere...)

Before long, the bus had pulled over at the hotel, with the students, plus Rebecca and Nia, disembarking and walking towards the hotel. The bus soon closed its doors and drove away to find a place to park.

"Now then, we'll all head inside and register you all to your rooms." said Rebecca, just as the doors opened automatically. "Come along."

Nia and the students all followed the brown-haired young woman into the building. Nearby, meanwhile, a familiar car pulled over. The window rolled down, and Frankie poked her head out the window.

"They've arrived." she said to herself, finally retracting herself back into the car.

(elsewhere...)

Inside the hotel, Thomas and the others were looking around, while Rebecca and Nia were both speaking to the (male) manager.

"May I help you?" he asked politely. The man had short blue hair like Thomas, Gordon, and Edward each had, and wore a fancy business suit. "My name is Beresford Stothert, and I'm the owner of this hotel."

"We've got reservations for a large group." answered Nia. "Under the names Eastleigh and Kur."

Beresford look in his reservation book. "Aha!" The manager said at last. "I've found 'em." With a snap of his fingers, three bellhops stood ready on command. "These bellhops will escort you and your party to your rooms."

From there, the three bellhops proceeded to escort everyone to their rooms.

(elsewhere...)

Inside one room, James, Henry, and Gordon each looked around with eagerness.

"This is swell!" smirked James. He then looked to his two best friends. "Tomorrow night, I'll order pizza!"

"I'll pick the movie!" put in Gordon.

"We'll have a movie night!" finished Henry.

Looks like our favorite trio has a night all planned out for the next day...

(elsewhere...)

Inside another room, Duck Collet and Oliver were both looking around the fancy-looking room they were sharing.

"What a great room." admired Duck.

"Has a nice view, too." agreed Oliver, looking out the window. "I think I can see the whole town from here!"

(elsewhere...)

Inside another room, Thomas was laying on the nice bed and gazing up at the ceiling.

"I can get used to this..." he thought to himself.

"Oh, Thomas?" The voice of Emily cooed.

Thomas sat up and looked to his right. There, much to his shock, he saw Emily stripping off her clothing and revealing a swimsuit she was wearing underneath.

"I'm off to check out the pool with the other girls." The excited Emily squeed. "If you want to join us there, feel free to."

With that said, she turned and left the room, leaving Thomas to try and shake himself and clear his head of seeing Emily stripping off her clothes in front of him.

(elsewhere...)

Later in the lobby, Beresford was busy manning the counter when someone walked up to said-counter.

"Yes?" The blue-haired man politely asked, not looking up. "May I help you?"

"I'm looking for a Thomas Billinton." said the person (female). "Know where I can find him?"

"Hmm... I think he's a part of the class that's staying here." answered Beresford. "Why? Is there something you need from him?"

"Oh no, nothing of the sort." The female figure answered, before taking out a note from her pocket. "However, if you happen to see him, please give him this note."

Beresford simply took the note and read it, before finally looking up at who he was talking to.

"Wait, who am I ad-?"

Too late, the female figure had already turned and left the hotel, leaving behind a very confused Beresford wondering who that was.

"She must have been in a hurry." he assumed, shrugging the notion off.

(elsewhere...)

Outside the hotel, the female figure was revealed to be...Frankie Clarke. Pleased that she got her note delivered, the blue/green-haired girl took out her Deck once more and looked it over.

"It's almost time." Frankie thought to herself. "It will soon be time for my revenge to begin making its rounds..."

She grinned evilly.

(elsewhere...)

Later that evening, the class had gathered in the lobby to prepare to go out to dinner at one of the diners in town. As Beresford watched as his guests started to leave, he suddenly remembered the note he was given...

"Wait a second!" Beresford called out. "Is Thomas Billinton among your group? There's a note for him."

That caught Thomas's attention. "A note?" he pondered, taking hold of the slip of paper. "Who's it from?"

"I don't know." answered Beresford, shaking his head. "The person who delivered it was in a hurry."

Thomas unfolded the paper and read it. Percy and Rosie both leaned over to gaze over their friend's shoulders to see what the note said. At last, Thomas became very concerned.

"Well?" asked Rosie. "What does the note say?"

"Someone wants to meet me at the park." answered Thomas in a serious tone. "I don't know why, but I'm required to bring my Duel Disk and Deck."

"It's probably just another crazed fan demanding a duel." figured James, shrugging. "We've already dealt with some of those earlier into the school year."

"Just in case, we'll all go with you." offered Nia.

"Thanks." smiled Thomas, before looking at the note while becoming serious once more. "Who could it be that wishes to see me?"

Yeah... Who could it be?

(elsewhere...)

Before long, Thomas and all of his friends and classmates were walking into a large park.

"Is this the park?" asked Toby.

"It is." answered Rebecca, who had gotten directions from the manager before hand. "Mr. Stothert did provide the directions."

Thomas said nothing in response.

(elsewhere...)

In another part of the park, Frankie, with her eyes closed and both arms folded, was standing atop a rocky formation, waiting for Thomas to show up. Before long, she opened her eyes, showing them to briefly shine all golden yellow before returning to a normal green.

"You're close." The blue/green-haired girl whispered. "I can sense you."

Just then...

"Where is that person?" echoed the voice of James.

"He or she has got to be around here somewhere!" added the voice of Henry.

Down below, Thomas and everyone else were still searching for whomever sent Thomas that note.

"Maybe it was a prank note?" suggested Percy.

"I hate stuff like that." grumbled Gordon.

"It doesn't look like one to me." figured Stanley.

Before long, the group was caught off-guard by...

"Hey! Are you Thomas Billinton by any chance?!" echoed a new voice (female).

The party immediately stopped and started looking around for the source of the voice that as calling out Thomas.

"If you're looking for whoever's talking, you're looking in the wrong direction. I'm up here!"

Thomas looked up, followed by everyone else. Standing on a tall, rocky-like formation was a 17-year old teenage girl, arms folded, with short blue/green hair. Her clothing consisted of blue jeans, a midriff-baring black tank top, and a long naval captain's like coat, and she wore boots.

"I've been waiting for you, Thomas." The teenage girl said firmly, just before jumping off the rocky structure and landed a good distance from the opposing party. "I'm pleased to finally meet you."

Thomas blinked for a few seconds, but James spoke up before his friend could speak...

"Who the heck are you?!" The red-haired boy questioned.

The teenage girl smiled in response. "My name is Frankie, Frankie Clarke." she answered. "I live around this area. When I heard that Thomas was visiting, I just had to meet him."

"Well, here I am." chuckled Thomas, nervously.

"That you are." agreed Frankie.

"Well, well! Yet another chick who admires Thomas." chortled James, clearly amused. "Why am I not the least bit surprised? First there was Hong-Mei, and now there's..."

*WABAM!*

That comment earned James quite a big lump on the back of the head from a rather annoyed-looking Emily and her paper fan.

"Nighty-night, Mama..." murmured James goofily, as his eyes swirled.

Thomas said nothing in response; instead, he looked back over to Frankie.

"You called me here so we could duel, yes?" The blue-haired boy asked slowly.

"That's right." confirmed Frankie. She then held up her Deck. "I've been interested in dueling with you since I first heard of your accomplishments."

"You could have asked me in person, you know."

"I could have been a very shy girl, you know." The blue/green-haired girl joked a bit, before growing serious. "But in all seriousness, are you in or not?"

"Very well." agreed Thomas, slotting his Deck into his Duel Disk. "A duel it shall be."

Frankie activated her own Duel Disk in response. Before long, both players drew their opening hands as their match soon commenced...

"Let's duel!" Thomas and Frankie both announced at once (LP: 4000) x2.

While all of Thomas's friends and classmates were cheering for their blue-haired friend to win, Emily felt very uneasy about the whole thing - but mostly about Frankie.

"Something feels off about that girl..." she thought to herself. "I normally do get jealous of other girls being close to my Tommy, but this is different..."

Back in the duel field...

"The first attack will go to me!" announced Frankie, drawing a card. "Draw!"

Turn One: Frankie Clarke (LP: 4000)
Deck: 39
Current Hand (6): "Samsara Lotus", "Overwhelm", "Beast King Barbaros", "Dark Mambele", "Fiend's Sanctuary", and "Sinister Seeds"

Her hand consisted of 'Samsara Lotus', 'Overwhelm', 'Beast King Barbaros', 'Dark Mambele', 'Fiend's Sanctuary', and the drawn 'Sinister Seeds'.

"I know what to do." Frankie thought to herself. Before long, she placed her drawn card onto a Monster Field slot on her Duel Disk. "From my hand, I'll Summon 'Samsara Lotus' in attack position!"

Appearing onto the field was a humanoid flower creature (Level: 1/ATK: 0/DEF: 0).

"A monster with zero Attack Points?" blinked Thomas.

Over with Frankie, the blue/green-haired girl wasn't finished just yet...

"I'll set one card facedown and end my turn." she announced, just as a facedown card appeared on the field. "Alright, let's see what the 'King of Games' is capable of doing!"

Thomas didn't do anything; he was too busy staring at Frankie. There was something about her that seemed...off.

"I can't put my finger on it-" Thomas thought to himself. "-but it feels as though Frankie's not all what she seems... It's almost as if I, in a way, know her or something..."

"Excuse me." Frankie interrupted, before pointing at her opponent. "I do believe it's your turn."

Thomas scowled. "It's my turn!" The blue-haired boy declared, drawing a card. "Draw!"

Turn Two: Thomas Billinton (LP: 4000)
Deck: 54
Current Hand (6): "Luna the Dark Spirit", "Zero Gravity", "Rebellion", "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight", "Berfomet", and "Apprentice Illusion Magician"

His drawn card was the 'Apprentice Illusion Magician' Monster Card - a great start.

"Behold, Frankie!" Thomas went on. He then sent the 'Berfomet' Monster Card to the Graveyard. "I send one card from my hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon this monster..."

On cue, the 'Apprentice Illusion Magician' Monster Card materialized face-up on the field.

"...'Apprentice Illusion Magician'!"

Appearing onto the field was the recolor of 'Dark Magician Girl' (Level: 6/ATK: 2000/DEF: 1700).

"My monster's effect activates!" continued Thomas, drawing a card ('Dark Magician'). "If this monster is Normal or Special Summoned, I can add one 'Dark Magician' from my Deck into my hand."

Frankie smirked. "I take it there's more?"

"Yes, there is." confirmed Thomas, just as the 'Berfomet' Monster Card emerged from the Graveyard for a brief moment. "I Banish the 'Berfomet' card I've sent to the Graveyard to Special Summon a new monster!" He then placed his next card onto a Monster Field slot on his Duel Disk. "Come forth - 'Luna the Dark Spirit'!"

Appearing onto the field was a purple-skinned female demon-like monster dressed in black (Level: 4/ATK: 1600/DEF: 1200).

"'Luna the Dark Spirit' is a monster that-" began Thomas, but got cut off.

"I know what the bloody monster does!" Frankie suddenly snapped. "I've faced it once before!"

Thomas recoiled from the blue/green-haired girl's outburst. Over with the audience...

"Geez, someone sure sounds impatient." grumbled Gordon.

"Not to mention cranky." added Percy.

Emily, however, remained silent. She still thought that something was deeply odd about Frankie. Back in the duel field...

"BATTLE!" declared Thomas, entering the Battle Phase. "Go forth, 'Apprentice Illusion Magician'! Attack 'Samsara Lotus', now!"

'Apprentice Illusion Magician' obeyed, firing a magical blast from her wand at the flower monster. 'Samsara Lotus' was hit and vaporized by the WAY stronger attack.

"Seeing as your monster had an Attack Power of zero-" Thomas pointed out, before pointing at his opponent. "-you'll receive 2000 points worth of damage!"

"Actually, I won't!" cut in Frankie.

"What?!"

"Seeing as an attack position monster I control was destroyed in battle, you've fallen into a little trap of mine." The blue/green-haired girl snickered. From there, her facedown card flipped up and revealed itself. "I activate a Trap - 'Sinister Seeds'! It can be activated only when an attack position monster I control is destroyed by battle. It reduces the Battle Damage to the controller, namely me, of the destroyed monster in multiples of 1000. For every 1000 points of damage reduced, I can Special Summon one 'Sinister Seed Token' in defense mode, and then I can end the Battle Phase."

With the audience...

"As Frankie would receive 2000 points of damage-" Toby was saying. "-she can Special Summon two 'Sinister Seed Tokens' and reduce the Battle Damage by 2000 points."

True to Frankie's word, appearing onto the field were two large seeds, protecting her from taking Battle Damage.

"Seeing as I would have dealt 2000 points of damage-" frowned Thomas. "-your two Tokens lowered said damage by 2000 points."

"As a result, I take no Battle Damage." reminded Frankie. "In addition, your Battle Phase immediately comes to an end by the effect of my Trap Card!"

On cue, two facedown cards materialized on Thomas's side of the field.

"I set two cards facedown." The blue-haired boy sighed. "My turn has ended!"

Frankie seemed to giggle in a fairly dark way, making Thomas feel even more uncomfortable about that girl.

"What's this? Having trouble defeating a girl, are we?" mocked Frankie. "Well, allow me to say it's about to get much worse from here on out... Just watch me!"

With that said, she drew her card.

Turn Three: Frankie Clarke (LP: 4000)
Deck: 38
Current Hand (5): "Overwhelm", "Beast King Barbaros", "Dark Mambele", "Fiend's Sanctuary", and "Regenerating Rose"

On cue, the two 'Sinister Seed Tokens' faded away in streaks of blue.

"I sacrifice both of my Tokens to Tribute Summon a monster..." Frankie went on, holding out her drawn card. "...'Regenerating Rose'!"

Appearing onto the field, or rather growing from the field, was another flower-like creature. This time, it was made out of a rose, and came equipped with a cape (Level: 7/ATK: 0/DEF: 1500).

"Another monster with zero Attack Points!" realized Percy.

"But something's telling me that Frankie played that card deliberately." Edward figured, earning him a few stares from Toby, Duck Nia, and the likes. "She has a strategy all planned out."

Back in the duel field...

"My monster's effect works like this..." began Frankie. "When this face-up attack position monster battles a face-up attack position monster my opponent controls, it gains Attack Points equal to that monster's Attack Power during damage calculation only."

"So, it will result in a Double KO." protested Thomas.

"A fact I'm not very worried about." insisted Frankie, before entering the Battle Phase. "'Regenerating Rose' attacks 'Apprentice Illusion Magician'!"

'Regenerating Rose' obeyed, wrapping her thorny vines around 'Apprentice Illusion Magician' and beginning to squeeze the life out of her.

"I'll save my monster!" cut in Thomas, just as his set card flipped face-up and revealed itself. "I activate a Quick-Play Spell - 'Rebellion'!"

Frankie frowned in response. "'Rebellion', eh?"

'Regenerating Rose' suddenly released 'Apprentice Illusion Magician' and turned back towards Frankie.

"During either player's Battle Phase, I can target one monster my opponent controls; I can take control of it until the end of the Battle Phase, also other monsters I control can't attack for the rest of this turn." explained Thomas. "Since it's your turn, you've briefly lost your only monster until you decide to end your Battle Phase!"

'Regenerating Rose' left Frankie's side of the field, but not before slashing at the girl with its thorny vine. Frankie let out a cry of pain as the thorn slashed a tear in her shirt as well as scratched her cheek.

"I...end my Battle Phase and move onto my Main Phase 2..." The blue/green-haired girl growled. "Return to my field, 'Regenerating Rose'!"

Doing as it was told, 'Regenerating Rose' returned to Frankie's side of the field. From there, a facedown card materialized on the field.

"I set a card and end my turn!" finished Frankie.

"Way to go, Thomas!" cheered Mavis. "Show that girl who's boss!"

"Thomas is doing well, isn't he?" Rosie cheerfully said to Emily, who remained serious-looking. "Um... Emily? You still there?"

"I'm here." The dark green-haired girl said seriously. "But, something is seriously wrong here."

Rosie raised an eyebrow. "Wrong? What makes you say that?"

"I feel as though there is more to Frankie than we know." answered Emily, closing her eyes. "As though... I've encountered her once before. And not exactly in a 'good' way."

Nobody else said a word. Back in the duel field...

"Draw!" declared Thomas, drawing a card.

Turn Four: Thomas Billinton (LP: 4000)
Deck: 52
Current Hand (3): "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight", "Dark Magician", and "Pot of Greed"

His drawn card was the 'Pot of Greed' Spell Card, but first...

"I activate the effect of 'Luna the Dark Spirit'! Once per turn, during my Standby Phase, I can inflict 500 points of damage to my opponent!"

'Luna the Dark Spirit' dove into the air and dropped down, striking Frankie in the stomach with a kick. The blue/green-haired girl was pushed back as she sustained some mild Effect Damage (LP: 4000 - 3500). From there, the 'Pot of Greed' Spell Card flipped face-up and revealed itself.

"From my hand, I'll activate 'Pot of Greed'!" continued Thomas, with two fingers braced onto a Spell/Trap slot on his Duel Disk. "Thanks to this card, I can draw two more cards."

With that said, Thomas drew his two cards. After looking the two cards over, he looked back towards Frankie.

"Facedown card, open!" As Thomas spoke, his remaining facedown card flipped up and revealed itself to be... "'Zero Gravity', activate!"

Suddenly, all monsters on the field began kneeling in a defensive stance.

"'Zero Gravity' shifts all stances of the monsters on the field." explained Thomas. "Attack become defend, and defend becomes attack." He then readied another card. "However, that's just the beginning of my counterattack."

On cue, the 'Polymerization' Spell Card materialized face-up on the field.

"From my hand, I'll activate the Spell Card 'Polymerization'!" As Thomas spoke on, he took two more cards and held them out. "Using it, I'll fuse, from my hand, 'Dark Magician' with 'Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight'!"

'Dark Magician' and 'Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight' both appeared on the field before fusing together.

"I Fusion Summon 'Dark Cavalry' in attack mode!" announced Thomas.

Appearing onto the field, when the Fusion Summon sequence came to an end, was 'Dark Magician' decked out in a new kind of armor, now wielding 'Gaia The Fierce Knight's' lances, and riding a horse (Level: 8/ATK: 2800/DEF: 2300).

"'Dark Cavalry'..." whispered Edward.

Back in the duel field...

"'Dark Cavalry's' effect makes it receive 100 more Attack Points for each Spell and Trap Card either player has ever played." explained Thomas. "I count six in total, since two were played by you, and four were played by me."

'Dark Cavalry' grew even stronger (ATK: 2800 - 3400).

"Not only that, but when battling a defense positioned monster, you'll lose the difference in 'Dark Cavalry's' Attack Power with the Defense Power of the attacked monster as Life Points!"

Frankie scowled. "My 'Regenerating Rose's' effect only works when it's in attack mode." she said. "That's why you first activated 'Zero Gravity'; it was to change my monster's position."

The Battle Phase then commenced...

"'Dark Cavalry', attack 'Regenerating Rose'!" ordered Thomas.

'Dark Cavalry' obeyed, charging forward and piercing 'Regenerating Rose' with his lance.

"I also activate the effect of 'Apprentice Illusion Magician'!" Thomas went on, motioning his left hand (with the Duel Disk) to his other monster. "During the Damage Step, I can offer my 'Apprentice Illusion Magician' to increase the Attack Power and Defense Power of a DARK Spellcaster monster I control by 2000 points."

"Which is why I won't let you!" interrupted Frankie. "Facedown card, open!"

"What?!"

The blue/green-haired girl's set card flipped face-up and revealed itself to be...

"'Overwhelm' activates only while I control a face-up Level 7 or higher monster that was Tribute Summoned." explained Frankie. "I can negate the activation of a Trap Card or an Effect Monster's effect and destroy that card."

Sadly, 'Apprentice Illusion Magician' was destroyed by the 'Overwhelm' Trap Card.

"No matter..." insisted Thomas. "My monster still destroys your own, while you also take damage based on 'Dark Cavalry's' Attack Power and 'Regenerating Rose's' Defense Power!"

Yup... 'Regenerating Rose', with the lance still impaled, exploded into nothingness. Frankie braced herself from the force of the attack (LP: 3500 - 1600). When all became calm, the ground on Frankie's side of the field started to sprout something...

"What?!" gasped Thomas. "What's happening?!"

"There's a reason my monster is called 'Regenerating Rose', you silly boy." giggled Frankie. "When it's destroyed, I can Special Summon two 'Regenerating Rose Tokens' in its place."

After fully sprouting, two Token Monsters were shown to be on the field (Level: 3/ATK: 1200/DEF: 1200).

"I end my turn." finished Thomas. In his mind... "This girl... Something is so faintly familiar about her, that it almost frightens me... Why can't I remember anything?"

"I think all of this playing around has come to an end!" declared Frankie, drawing a card. "It's my turn! Draw!"

Turn Five: Frankie Clarke (LP: 1600)
Deck: 37
Current Hand (4): "Beast King Barbaros", "Dark Mambele", "Fiend's Sanctuary", and "Precious Cards from Beyond"

"Are you ready to see my Deck's true power? If you're not, then too bad!"

She saw that her drawn card was a Spell Card called 'Precious Cards from Beyond', but had a different card in mind to play...

"From my hand, I'll activate a Spell Card!" exclaimed Frankie, slotting a card into a Spell/Trap slot on her Duel Disk. "'Fiend's Sanctuary'!"

On cue, the mentioned Spell Card flipped face-up and revealed itself.

"As I'm sure you're familiar with this card's effect-" explained Frankie, just as a magical circle appeared on her side of the field. "-'Fiend's Sanctuary' lets me Special Summon a 'Metal Fiend Token'."

Emerging from the circle and onto the field, was, as Frankie said, a 'Metal Fiend Token'.

"But, I'm not finished." As Frankie spoke on, she took and held another card out. "I activate a Spell Card - 'Dark Mambele'!"

"'Dark Mambele'?" recoiled Thomas, which was all he could say.

"As I control three or more DARK monsters-" explained Frankie "-I can Banish one face-up card on the field."

"It won't work!" cut in Thomas, taking a card from his hand and sending it to the Graveyard. "I discard a card from my hand to activate 'Dark Cavalry's' effect!"

'Dark Cavalry' threw one of his lances at Frankie's face-up 'Dark Mambele' Spell Card, piercing it to the ground as it shattered into shards of glass.

"'Dark Mambele' has been destroyed!" declared Thomas.

"It makes little difference." scoffed Frankie, holding another card up. "From my hand, I'll activate another Spell Card..."

On cue, a Spell Card called 'Precious Cards from Beyond' materialized face-up on the field.

"'Precious Cards from Beyond'?!" gasped Thomas.

"Now when I Tribute Summon a monster using two or more tributes-" laughed Frankie. "-I can draw two cards."

In the audience...

"Three weak monsters..." mused James. "What could that chick be up to with 'em?"

Back in the duel field...

"It's time I introduced you to an old friend." suggested Frankie, who's smile then grew insane-looking. "I sacrifice all three of my monsters!"

The three Token Monsters vanished in blue streaks. From there, Frankie took a card from her hand, raised it upward, and then slammed it onto her Duel Disk.

"Come forth - 'BEAST KING BARBAROS'!" she commanded.

Appearing onto the field was a huge beastly creature. The top half resembled a lion, carrying a lance, and the bottom half resembled a panther (Level: 8/ATK: 3000/DEF: 1200).

"That's a strong-looking monster..." gulped Percy.

Emily, however, was speechless when she saw the monster. This couldn't be possible—could it?

"First-" said Frankie, drawing two cards. "-I'll draw two more cards thanks to 'Precious Cards From Beyond' being on the field."

Thomas, like Emily, couldn't believe what he was seeing... This monster... this was the same one that he (Anakin) had faced once before against...

"As for your 'Dark Cavalry', I can deal with that easily." Frankie went on, before pointing at the opposition. "'Beast King Barbaros', use your effect to destroy all cards on my opponent's side of the field!"

"What?!" gasped Thomas.

"When Summoned by three tributes, 'Beast King Barbaros' can destroy all cards on my opponent's side of the field!"

'Beast King Barbaros' let loose a powerful shockwave-like roar, destroying all of Thomas's monsters.

"Just like that..." gasped Edward. "All of Thomas's monsters were..."

Unfortunately, the worst was to come...

"'Beast King Barbaros', attack Thomas directly!" commanded Frankie.

'Beast King Barbaros' obeyed, throwing his javelin at the opponent. Poor Thomas was hit by the devastating attack, causing him to fall to his knees in pain (LP: 4000 - 1000).

"This is bad!" panicked Henry.

"Thomas..." whispered Nia.

"One more attack like that, and he'll be defeated!" worried Rosie.

Back in the duel field...

"Had enough yet?!" demanded Frankie, who now looked absolutely demented. "I've been waiting a long time to beat you down! Now, get up so I can knock you down again!"

Thomas slowly rose back to his feet, a look of fierce determination on his face.

"You...!" he hissed. "Now I'm truly aware of your power!"

Frankie seemed amused. "You do, do you?"

"Yes." confirmed Thomas. "But no matter what you throw at me, I will not let you win! You're going down!"

"In your dreams!" dismissed Frankie. "There's not a card in your whole Deck that can protect you from my wrath!"

Turn Six: Thomas Billinton (LP: 1000)
Deck: 51
Current Hand (1): "Card of Sanctity"

Thomas's drawn card was the 'Card of Sanctity' Spell Card. After looking at it for a few seconds, he looked back towards his opponent.

"There's still plenty left for me to do." The blue-haired boy insisted, just before he held the card out. "I activate 'Card of Sanctity'! Both players draw from their Decks until they hold six cards in their hands."

With that being said, both players drew from their respective Decks:
-Thomas: Six cards
-Frankie: Four cards

"With a new hand-" continued Thomas, looking at his drawn hand. "-my counterattack begins!"

His drawn hand consisted of 'Dark Magician Girl', 'Monster Reborn', 'Watapon', 'The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh', 'Fusion Recovery', and 'Slifer the Sky Dragon'. On cue, the 'Watapon' Monster Card materialized face-up on the field.

"As I've drawn 'Watapon' by means of a Card Effect-" explained Thomas, just as the white cottonball-like monster appeared onto the field (Level: 1/ATK: 200/DEF: 200). "-I can special summon him!"

"'Watapon'?" blinked Frankie, before looking scornful. "Tch! Such persistence..."

"I'm not finished." insisted Thomas, holding another card out. "I activate a Spell Card - 'The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh'!"

On cue, 'Kuriboh' appeared onto the field, uttering its signature "Kuri, kuri!" (Level: 1/ATK: 300/DEF: 200). Finally, the 'Monster Reborn' Spell Card flipped face-up and revealed itself.

"From there, I'll activate 'Monster Reborn' to Special Summon a from the Graveyard." said Thomas, just as the 'Dark Magician' Monster Card materialized face-up on the field. "And I choose the following one - 'Dark Magician'!"

The purple-haired, male Spellcaster appeared from the face-up Monster Card and onto the field, arms folded (Level: 7/ATK: 2500/DEF: 2100).

"Not only that, I'll also remove 'Dark Magic Vase' from my Graveyard!" As Thomas spoke, the 'Dark Magic Vase' Spell Card ejected from the Graveyard. "As I control a 'Dark Magician'-named monster, I can remove this card from the game to draw one card."

Frankie scowled, growing annoyed with her opponent's stalling for time. From there, after drawing a card, Thomas took and held out another card to play.

"From my hand, I'll activate 'Fusion Recovery'!" The blue-haired boy announced, just as two more cards ejected from the Graveyard and he took hold of them. "This allows me to add one 'Polymerization' and one Fusion Material monster from the Graveyard to my hand."

"Useless!" insulted Frankie. "Your strongest monster, 'Dark Magician', is not a match for 'Beast King Barbaros'! Not to mention your drawing cards won't do anything to help you!"

"That's not my aim." whispered Thomas coldly.

Frankie immediately became quiet. Then, as Thomas took another card from his hand, the night sky began to fill with storm clouds, lightning striking the whole area.

"Is this-?!" recoiled Nia.

"Oh my..." added Molly.

Back in the duel field...

"I sacrifice 'Dark Magician'... 'Watapon'... and 'Kuriboh'..." began Thomas, allowing some of Anakin's power to be unleashed in his heart. "Go forth, my monsters!"

The three monsters vanished in blue streaks. More and more lightning struck around the area, but Thomas paid no attention...

"With the offerings met, I'll Tribute Summon 'God'!" As Thomas spoke on, he placed his card onto a Monster Field slot on his Duel Disk. "Descent - 'SLIFER THE SKY DRAGON'!"

Descending from the stormy clouds towards the ground, was the giant red serpent-like 'Egyptian God' (Level: 10/ATK: X000/DEF: X000). As soon as a few seconds had passed, 'Slifer the Sky Dragon' unleashed an almighty roar, causing Frankie to brace herself against the force of the wind-like blast.

"He Summoned an 'Egyptian God'?!" gasped James. "But I thought-?!"

"Thomas 'had' to Summon one of the three legendary Divine-Beasts, James." interrupted Emily. "Something about this Frankie has been very off, and I'm now certain about it."

Back in the duel field...

"For every card in my hand-" explained Thomas, holding his hand out (which had four cards). "-'Slifer's' Attack Power and Defense Power both increase by 1000 points!"

'Slifer the Sky Dragon' growled, awaiting for the command to attack (ATK: 4000/DEF: 4000).

"And now, prepare to feel God's Judgement!" continued Thomas, before pointing forth and entering the Battle Phase. "'Slifer', attack 'Beast King Barbaros' with all of your power!"

'Slifer the Sky Dragon' obeyed, charging a powerful electrical attack in its main mouth.

"SUPER ELECTRICAL CONDUCTION WAVE - THUNDER FORCE!"

'Slifer the Sky Dragon' fired the huge blast of electrical power, vaporizing 'Beast King Barbaros' to ashes. When the remains of the blast hit Frankie, she screamed in agony as she was thrown across the park (LP: 1600 - 600).

"Alright!" whooped James. "One more attack like that, and Thomas will win the duel!"

Back in the duel field, Frankie was laying on the ground.

"This duel is almost done!" declared Thomas, clenching his fist. "I don't know what kind of game you're playing at, but I'll make absolutely sure that you stay away from me and my friends!"

Suddenly, Frankie slowly started to snicker, causing Thomas to ease up. Before long, the blue/green-haired girl's snickering started to grow louder as she slowly returned to her feet, looking all wobbly from sustaining such a devastating attack. Before long, Frankie Clark's cackling laughter had erupted into absolutely insane/demented laughter. Thomas's teachers and classmates all watched with stunned expressions on their faces.

"So... that's an 'Egyptian God'?" Frankie asked slowly, once she had calmed a bit.

Thomas stayed on his guard, not about to let himself be distracted.

"It's as powerful as I've heard." Frankie continued, weakly pointing up at 'Slifer the Sky Dragon'. "You've used them well in your last duels... But I've got bad news for you, Thomas."

"And that's...?" grunted Thomas.

"I've got something powerful of my own." said Frankie, drawing a card. "Far more powerful than the 'Egyptian Gods' could ever hope to be!"

As the blue/green-haired girl gazed at her drawn card, a faded shadow of a huge, black sphere similar to 'The Winged Dragon of Ra's' Sphere Form was shown to be in the sky. Nobody knew it at the time, but the 'Egyptian Gods' were soon going to gain a worthy rival in terms of power and abilities...

To be Continued!

(As beams of light sailed through the darkness of space, several Duel Monsters cards followed. Cutting to Thomas Billinton, he stood behind a set of mirrors. In one mirror, there was a reflection of Anakin the Fallen Warrior. In the other was the Pharaoh, Atem.)

Trapped in insanity's grasp, our denials prove obvious

Though we seem strong, we're also weak. Hey, isn't that true?

(Switching over to Emily, she too stood behind some mirrors that showed reflections of Princess Anastasia in one, and Atem's girlfriend Anzu in the other.)

Why do you before you wake, dream of building a wall?

Impossible dreams are crazy. That's odd.

(The Duel Spirits of Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, and Kuriboh each soon appeared in a space of their own. In a new scene, Thomas and Emily's friends appeared as they go about their lives before panning to a Steelworks somewhere at Bridlington.)

Calling, calling, calling now

Though together, it's still not the same

Use your will to break yourself away

No matter who wins, keep moving forward. Our desires won't be swayed.

While Hurricane kept a serious, almost angry, look, Frankie's seemed to be garnishing a threatening grin as she held three cards up. With the villains out of the way, we now cut to the trio of Theo, Lexi, and Merlin. While Merlin took his hat off like a stage magician does, Lexi was seen hugging Theo from behind.)

Oh! Ah!

If we stay together as one, we can seize destiny

(Ace drove his Duel Runner along the ground until it created a self-portrait of his face in the sand, which winked. In the final scene, Thomas landed after jumping from a high ledge and grinned while his eyes briefly flashed red, and the Millennium Puzzle glows. And so, a new season finally starts...
