Jarceus: Hello and welcome to the first chapter of a new story of mine called Freddy's Emporium: Eternal Guard. This is my attempt at trying to get back into the spirit of writing stories, cause I just noticed that a lot more time has passed then I thought since I wrote chapters for some of my other stories. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this chapter.

Summary: Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Emporium, a magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, a collection of different branches of the Freddy Fazbear business. But we all know what happens at night, they come to life to hunt. But what if the animatronics were given an anomaly, a human, who's body and soul will always escape Death's grasp? Well… let's see.

Story Start

Damien sighed as he carelessly scroll through the internet on his phone, laying down on his couch, searching for a job without a single care before he came across something that caught his interest, an internet advertisement for a job… a night guard at a new location of the infamous Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

Damien was a 24 year old, Caucasian male with short black hair which seemed to spike up at the front at a single point, eyes that were a deep and dark brown, giving the impression that they were black unless you saw them in the light, a bit of a stubble on his face, forming the impression of a growing beard and moustache and a few freckles located on his forehead. He wore a simple white singlet and black sorts, just some lazy wear while he searched for jobs.

Damien knew about the reputation of the Freddy Fazbear franchise, kids going missing and a perpetual opening for night guards with no evidence as to where the previous guard went or what happened… which made it the perfect job for Damien due to a strange ability of his, he was immune to death, or rather, he could die, but he wouldn't STAY dead. This ability was first revealed to him fifteen years ago, in a car crash which killed him, his mother and his father, he had been dead for about ten minutes before he returned to life, his body mostly healed from the injuries it sustained… leaving only minor scarring from said injuries. After that incident, Damien was sent to live with his grandparents from his mother's side, sadly they passed away a year ago, leaving Damien with their home and a good amount of money, not enough to live on for the rest of his life, but enough to give him a few years before needing to find a job.

Making up his mind in a second, Damien clicked on the ad and brought it up to his full screen, looking it over for details… minimum wage, expected, seven nights a week, of course… oh hey, a phone number. Writing down the phone number on a piece of paper, Damien quickly closed down his phone's browser before going to his 'phone' app and putting in the phone number from the ad… and now it was just a waiting game

"Hello, you have reached Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Emporium, home of all things Fazbear, and a magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where true fantasy and fun come to life." A feminine voice said from the other side of the call, having been picked up within a minute as Damien couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the quick answer

"Hi, the namien is Damien Abel, I saw your advertisement online for a night guard, I was wondering if that was still open?" Damien asked the person who answered, making them hum softly as the sound of papers moving around on a desk echoed through the phone before the person, who Damien guessed was a receptionist, coughed to get his attention

"Yes, the job role still seems to be open, would you like me to connect you to the boss so that he can talk to you?" The receptionist asked Damien, making the black haired man think for about a minute before he spoke up again, confirming that the idea was a good one, and that the receptionist should do that. It took a little bit, but he was soon connected to the boss, or rather the manager of the emporium

"Hello, I'm the manager of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Emporium, I hear that you are looking for a job at our fine establishment? Well, just tell me a few details about yourself, such as your name, date of birth, criminal and medical records, and then you're hired. Honestly, we are kinda desperate for a new night guard." The manager explained, making Damien nod his head softly, it made sense he supposed, with a reputation that the Freddy Fazbear franchise had, becoming a night guard was akin to revealing yourself as having suicidal tendencies.

"Sure, I can give all that. I'm Damien Abel, born on the fifth of November about twenty-four years ago and I have no criminal record and as for my medical records, I've been in the hospital about six times in my life due to broken bones, mainly in my arms and legs." Damien supplied the manager, getting some, 'uhuh's' from the man as the sound of pen and paper came through the phone, telling Damien that the manager was writing everything down on a piece of paper

"Alright, I'll have everything be put into the systems. You should be registered by tonight. If you want, I can give you a tour of the facilities later today, get you settled in a little for your first night and get you your new uniform. Oh, and call me Dale when you get here, I've had too many new hires call me sir and making me feel old." The manager, Dale, said, chuckling at the end of his little statement, making Damien chuckle softly, seeing the joke in it

"Of course Dale. I think I'll head down now, might as well since I have nothing better to do, you know?" Damien replied as he quickly hopped off of his couch and began to walk towards his room to get dressed properly to go out, putting a long-sleeved blue jacket on over his singlet while replacing his shorts with long-legged pants

"Got cha. See you down at the entrance the emporium. I'll be free in about half an hour, so you'll have to wait that long. Anyway, see ya. Gotta put you into the system." Dale said back as he hung up on Damien after getting a 'bye' in reply as the 'immortal' ran a hand through his hair, his eyes subconsciously tracing a scar on his wrist before be put his socks and black shoes with a white sole on as he walked out towards his car and slowly got into the driver's seat, his breath filling the empty space of the car as he breathed in and out before shaking his head and starting the engine.

It took twenty nine minutes for Damien to get to the location as he looked up at the entrance to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Emporium, the entrance was rather large, with what could be described as a mural of neon lights forming different versions of 'Freddy' ranging from the original Fredbear from Fredbear's Family Diner, to the 'Rockstar' version of Freddy from the less popular, Rock-out Freddy's Pizza… yeah not many people liked the new designs over the 'original' or the 'toy' ones… and between the two were the aforementioned Freddy's, the 'original' Freddy Fazbear, with his black top hat surrounded in white lights to give it shape… and then 'Toy' Freddy, his old 'updated' counterpart, designed to look more kid friendly… how making a bear animatronic fatter was supposed to make it more friendly was anyone's guess. As Damien walked into the large pizza emporium, he was greeted by a man in a black suit and red tie with medium-length, curly brown hair, green eyes with brown surrounding the iris and light brown skin along with a surprisingly muscular build, not that of a body builder, but definitely one that belonged to someone who did a lot of heavy lifting.

"Hey, you must be Damien, right?" The man asked as he walked over to Damien, making him nod his head as the suit man smiled, "Great to see you. I'm Dale. So, are you ready for the tour of the facility?" Dale asked, getting another nod from Damien as the manager smiled and led the new night guard to be through the emporium, leading him past different areas, a plush shop… a toy shop… a gift shop, clothing shop, even a cafe… and Damien was genuinely surprised as he expected the place to just be four zones based around the four different restaurants that were represented on the entrance. Soon enough they got to one of the show stages where a performance by the 'original' Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy was going on, the bear and chicken animatronics singing while the bunny played music on his guitar, which like certain types of electric pianos, was mimicking the sounds of other instruments. Foxy though was telling classic pirate tales to a bunch of children

"Huh… so this is what Freddy's must have been back in the good days, huh? To think you guys got the clearance for the Foxy animatronics… especially with the, uh…" Damien trailed off as he realised where his thought process was going as Dale sighed and pinched the ridge of his nose

"Don't get me started on that nightmare… I had to make it so that no-one could get close enough to the original and toy Foxy's so that it couldn't happen again. Anyway, to make things a little simpler on us placement wise, each area is mainly the showroom of the old locations along with the extra rooms, like Balloon boy's ride and the Gift Corner from the old revamp." Damien explained as he showed Damien around the other three animatronic filled sections of the emporium, the new 'spring-lock' animatronics having a barrier up to their knees on their stage to discourage people from getting up on stage and recreating a thankfully rather unknown event in Faz… no, Fredbear history, the 'toy' animatronics had a similar pro-caution in place besides for Balloon Boy and a rather large music box designed to look like a present.

"Wow, you went a bit all out on the protection, these guard rails definitely will help. So, what about the office?" Damien asked as he stretched out, making Dale sigh sadly as he knew what was going to come next

"Due to restrictions on our budget, the office you'll be working in is… well, it's crap to put it simply. We have security doors in place with a magnetic lock on them, sadly they are old models, and worse yet, worn, old models. And they tend to heat up rather quick, I'd say you have about, ten to twenty minutes with them shut before you have to open them or risk blowing the locks completely." Dale explained as he showed Damien to his new office, which was rather small and lack lustre, a desk in the corner with monitors, a pad, a fan and some drawings from children on the desk. There was also a wheeled chair, which seemed to be in a state where it can roll between each of two doors on the sides of the room, two large buttons next to each door, one labeled simply as 'DOOR' and the other as 'LIGHT'

"Jeez, when you said the office sucks, you meant it. You said that you had a budget issue? Why is that?" Damien asked as he noticed that there was still some stains on the wall next to him, displaying how… well, low budget and dirty the room was.

"You think that running, how many animatronics is it… two… six… twelve… sixteen animatronics, you think that running maintenance on sixteen animatronics is cheap? It is unsurprisingly expensive, alone with the need to buy food, toys, clothes, and all the other stuff… We hardly have enough money to pay you and keep everything going." Dale sighed as he sat down in the chair while holding his head in his hands. Daniel could sympathise with the man somewhat

"Say, Dale, what is the uniform like?" Damien asked in an attempt to change the subject, which wasn't lost on Dale, who could only smile softly at the gesture as he nodded and got up

Jarceus: That will be all for this starting chapter, please tell me what you think about it and what I could do better, I'm always open to what you have to say, as long as you say it nicely. Have a god day and enjoy yourself
