Hello this is my first story and I did my best to comb through for grammatical errors as well as plot holes and I did my best enjoy.
6 B.B.Y. Imperial Academy on Mandolar.
Sabine was walking by a group of cadets on her way to the Baracks with Ketsu when she started to over hear a conversation, "Did you hear about the new cadet were getting?" one cadet asked.
"Yeah i heard he isn't even Mandalorian." the other cadet replied.
"If its true I bet he'll wash out the first week." another cadet added as Sabine and Ketsu passed them.
"Hey Ketsu?" Sabine asked.
"Yes?" Ketsu replied.
"What do you think about the rumors abou the new cadet?" Sabine asked as the entered the Baracks.
"I think it's just a rumor. No outsiders have made it in to the Academy ever." Ketsu answered confidently
"Yeah your probably right, well we'll probably see tomorrow at the Assembly." Sabine responded.
"Well I gotta get going you know how Mrs Rook when anyone is late." Ketsu said before taking her data pad and runing off to class. Sabine also headed off to her classes.
Later the next day when the Assembly was starting.
"You may have heard the rummors of a new non Mandalorian student," Head Master Sen stated, "and yes these rummors are true we shall be reciving a highly skilled student who will be in the 2nd years class because of past experiences, and no this is not up for debate and he shall not be treated differently due to not being a Mandalorian he will be ariving within the week and will be joining the Strill Baracks."
"Haar'chak." Sabine and Ketsu muttered in unison knowing they both shared strill baracks.
"Silence that is what the head master wants so thats happening," Whisper shouted a random teacher in the crowd, "and don't cuss like that or speak Mando'a on duty again."
"Sorry." The two whispered nervously.
"That is all I wanted to discuss at this assembly but the students of Strill Baracks need to meet at the Baracks after this to talk to Captain Shandoa." Sen said just before leaving the stage.
The stundents all split up heading to their different classes except the cadets of Strill Baracks who all headed back to their Baracks.
"You all know we will be having a new cadet and that means someone will have to his partner so we shall take Sabine Wren and partner her up with him" Captain Shandoa stated to the cadets who just arrived to the Baracks, "any questions?"
"Umm... Yes." Sabine replied as she rasied her hand, "The weapons devolpment program said I shouldnt have a partner because it'd distract me from my work." Sabine asked she did not want a partner especially some offworlder that was probably a rookie who would slow her down.
"Sorry Cadet Wren but this soldier is a exception requested by me personally and approved by weapons devolpment you will keep most of the same classes and share only some with your partner." Captain Shandoa stated with a hint of superiority. He always hated Sabine for some unknown reason. "If there are no more questions then you can continue with your normal activities." He waited a moment and when no one raised their hand then he said "Good, dismissed."
After leaving the classroom Sabine and Ketsu started to walk to lunch when Sabine looked at Ketsu and asked, "Why did they match the star student of the Academy with a outsider?"
"Maybe he's some senators son." Ketsu chuckeled "Imagine the unstoppable team, Sabine the countess of clan wren's daughter and countess to be and Phillip the Senator of Alderaan's favorite son."
"Ketsu you better be wrong or I swear to the manda-" Sabine was saying before she got cut off by Ketsu.
"Don't worry Sabine I'm not a Jedi." Ketsu joked.
"Better not be." Sabine replied jokingly as the headed off to the cafeteria.
2 Days later in the hanger Captain Shandoa lined all of the students of Strill Baracks to the front right side of a shuttle.
"The reason I have you all hear is so we can meet our new student Cadet Trayec Cropson." Captain Shandoa said when the ramp opened and a cadet in full cadet uniform marched out.
"Sir Cadet Trayec reporting for duty Sir." Trayec said quickly after marching up to Captain Shandoa and standing at attention.
"Good" The captain said before stating, "Cadet Wren this your new partner Cadet Trayec, Trayec stand in the line beside her."
"Yes Sir captain Sir." Trayec said before getting in the line.
"That is your position for the rest of the time you are here so rember it." the captain stated before saying, "Dissmised."
Everyone started to walk away when Sabine started to show Trayec around, "This is the cafeteria here is the refreshers down that hallway are all the classes here are the SIMs like the battle SIMs and the flight SIMs" She said while walking past them. After all of the rest of the rooms she finally got to the last room "And here is the weapons devolpment wing your section is the second room on the right so yeah that's pretty much everything" Sabine said, then she asked, "do you have any questions?"
"Nope." Trayec replied.
"You don't talk much do you?" Sabine asked curious as to why he hadn't talked the whole time.
"I've been told that I'm sorry I just have a couple of issues." Trayec Responded apologetically.
"Oh its fine I didn't mean anything by it." Sabine said then her helmet beeped "Oh its lunch I should probably get going if you'd like you can sit with me and Ketsu." Sabine offered.
"Thanks but I'm fine I have to drop my stuff back off at the Baracks." Trayec said before walking off in the direction of the Baracks while Sabine headed to the mess hall.
Latern at the cafeteria.
"So what's with the new guy?" Ketsu asked Sabine curiously.
"He didnt talk much." Sabine answered, "but when I asked about him not talking he apologized and said something about having issues."
"Sounds fun" Ketsu said sarcastically. "I bet you tommorows dessert that he's out first in the SIM later."
Sabine thought about it. it looked like Trayec was relatively disciplined so she took the risk "I'll take that bet." Sabine said. the class bell rang just as they finished eating and they headed off to class.
Later 2 class' before the end of the day at the battle sim with all of the cadets of the Strill Baracks lined up across from the cadets of Rawl Baracks
"Most of you know what the rules are but since there is a twist and a new student I will be explaning them all again. The rules are no taking off your helmet, no blasting unconscious enemies, and absolutely no intentional destruction of Imperial property." Captain Shandoa said sternly, "The equipment you can use are the E-11 training blasters. The twist of this exerzize is you will both be trying to capture and transport the same GNK droid modified for data carying to your designated shuttle. Now get ready for the combat exercise whoever wins gets double dessert rations tomorrow." he said as he headed to the observation room.
"lets see how many blaster bolts the new guy can take before he crumbles." one of the cadets on the Rawls Baracks side joked.
Sabine could have swore she heard Trayec laugh as he grabbed his blaster.
After evreyone on both sides sutied up and got on the fake transports designated to them they all saw the ramps start to fall and ran out. Trayec ran right up the GNK droid and started to program a path to the shuttle once he finished it after a few minutes he noticed everyone in the strill Baracks got blasted except Sabine and some random cadet when there were five left on the other side. The GNK droid started moving and the random cadet blasted one enemie then got blasted Trayec blasted one enemie in the head then he got blasted three times once in the right shoulder and twice in the chest leaving only Sabine. one of the enieme cadets snuck up on her and held a blaster to her head and said, "we wi-" only for Trayec to stand up and blast him twice one in the shoulder and once in the back and as he fell over the one enimie who made the joke earlier blasted Trayec in the head then Trayec fell over and passed out when he hit his head on the cover set up Sabine blasted the 2 that were left and the GNK droid moved on to the shuttle a few moments later then the bell signified the ending of the exercise rung and Sabine ran over to Trayec and took of her helmet "Hey Trayec you did great there." Sabine said while holding her hand out to him.
"Thanks you did great as well." Trayec said grabbing Sabine's hand as she pulled him up. little did she know he was stareing at her smile. He normally didn't pay attention to people's appearances but her smile looked beautiful, looking at her reminded him of his sisters Tara and Moroka she didn't look like them it was just a feeling that radiated from her was similar for both of them but his thoughts were interrupted by him almost falling over.
"Are you ok?" Sabine asked Trayec, she then held up one finger "how many fingers am I holding up."
"2 no 3." Trayec muttered sounding like he just woke up.
"Sounds like a concussion we should get you to medical." Sabine said.
"Yeah probably." he said sounding tired.
They went to the med bay to go talk to the medics about Trayec's condition when the medic checking his condition said, "Well you were right you have a minor concussion you'll be fine by the time you wake up tomorrow if you rest."
"Define rest doctor?" Trayec asked.
"No work wether it be mental or physical." the doctor responded.
"Great," Trayec said sarcastically, "so am I cleared to go back to my bunk?" Trayec asked.
"Yes but no work, I mean it." the doctor said sternly. she got out Trayecs medical file and saw it was there was about 4 or 5 pages barely had half a page this many was unheard of. "Why is your medical file so long."
"Well I wish I could tell you but I cant. what I can tell you is I had the most injuries last place i was too." Trayec answered.
Sabine was waiting outside but heard the lots of injuries part she made a mental note to ask him about this later.
Soon he walked out just a secound before putting his helmet on. "Did he have bright green eyes no way they could naturally that bright if he was 100% human" Sabine thought then she looked back on the mental picture she took and confirmed he had bright green eyes and that he also had a small scar bellow his ear, "Umm Trayec are you fully human" Sabine asked.
"Oh my eyes, it's a mutation I'm fully human just a bit of a rare mutation." Trayec stated.
"Did you also have a scar below your ear." Sabine asked still sounding a little surprised by the mutation earlier.
"I..I dont want to talk about it." Trayec said sounding a hundred times more sad.
"Oh I'm sorry for bringing it up." Sabine replied sounding extremely sorry
"It's okay you didn't know." Trayec responded still sounding sad "I have to go to my bunk see you later.
And with that they headed seprate ways as Sabine headed of to weapons devolpment and Trayec went to go and rest.
Later that night just before everyone went to bed.
Sabine was heading back to the Baracks to go to sleep when she saw that Trayec had unknowingly picked the bunk under hers and that he was sleeping with his helmet off and she had time to notice his less prominent features like he had dark brown hair that was long and messy and a clean shaven face she also noticed his lips were moving. when she got closer and he was whispering in a laguange she didn't understand it was quite enough you couldn't hear it until you got close even up on her bunk she didnt hear it so it was fine with her she soon closed her eyes and after a few minutes she fell asleep.
23:00 Same night.
Sabine awoke to hearing stirring in the bed bellow her she also heard the language she had heard earlier just getting louder and then Sabine looked over the side of her bed and a few seconds later Trayec woke up looking sad and covered in sweat "Whats wrong Trayec?"
"I had a nightmare it was of when my family they...they." Trayec tried but he couldn't say it.
"I understand do you have these nightmares often?" Sabine asked sounding sorry for him.
"No tomorrow is the day when they..they...pased." Trayec was finally able to say.
"Oh, I'm so sorry if you want to talk about this tomorrow we can." Sabine suggested.
"Maybe." Trayec stated obviously thinking about it.
"How about you sleep on it." Sabine suggested.
"Sounds good." Trayec said sounding a little less sad before shutting his eyes and saying "Goodnight Sabine."
"Goodnight friend." Sabine replied in mando'a. before closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep.
Sabine wakes up to see Trayec Sitting on his bed and taking one pill from a rather large pill bottle and then taking them and hiding them in his locker Sabine got down from her bed and started a conversation "Hey Trayec what are those for?" she asked in refrence to the pills.
"Oh those are to make me not have the nightmares or flash backs and such." Trayec stated sadly seemingly unhappy having to take them.
"Why did you have a nightmare last night?" Sabine asked seemingly confused.
"I forgot due to the concussion." Trayec said looking slightly embarrassed about forgetting them.
"Did you decide on the whole talking about it?" Sabine asked hoping he was ready to talk about it.
"I actually can't because of my pills. They make me forget everything about my family until they wear off Trayec said seeming extremely sad.
"What! why do you take them?" Sabine asked sounding suprized.
"The Empire required until i sort it out i have to take them." Trayec replied sadly his helmet beeped "Kriff." Trayec whispered.
"What?" Sabine asked.
"Instead of breakfast I'm being put out on a patrol for "missing classes" yesterday even though they know I was injured yesterday." Trayec replied annoyed.
"That sucks see you at lunch today right?" Sabine questioned him.
"Yup see ya then." Trayec said heading off to the armory as Sabine headed to the mess hall.
Half a hour later out on the city streets.
"Cadet Trayec reporting in for patrol 2 we havent run in to any trouble yet continuing patrol." Trayec said as he started to walk further and further down the street.
"Well we about half way done." one cadet stated happy that they were done soon.
"I just want to get finished so we can go watch the class of graduates go up against stormtroopers in the SIM. What umm what are you doing after this Trayec?" the second cadet asked.
"Umm a few classes a hour of exercise and a hour at weapons development and th-" then Trayec got cut off.
"Why do you have the exercise, weapons development and the patrol?" a female cadet asked.
"Missed a couple classes anyways we should pa-" Trayec got cut off by the sound of blaster fire then turned on his com and started to talk to command, "We need backup were getting ambushed by a unkown number of hostiles this is patrol 2 we need support now!"
1 hour later in the command center.
"Sir were getting a com from the cadets that got ambushed a hour ago." a officer said to Head Master Sen.
"Good patch it through." Head Master Sen said.
"This is Cadet Trayec we are under the general store closest to hanger bay 17 please send help oh kri-" Trayec was cut off before the transmission ended.
"Ready a rescue team for tommorow at 17:00 make Sabine Wren part of the team we need to see if she can deal with casualties." Head Master Sen said.
"What if there isn't casualties head master?" the officer asked.
"Thats unlikely and if there is none we will she how she is in a active combat situation, also inform Captain Shandoa to tell Sabine Wren." Head Master Sen replied seeming annoyed at the officer questioning him.
10 minutes later in a hallway leaving a classroom.
"Hey Ketsu" Sabine asked, "have you seen Trayec around anywhere?"
"I've only seen Trayec once" ketsu said, "and that was during the combat SIM."
"You still do owe me dessert to night." Sabine said with a grin.
"Yeah yea-" Ketsu was saying but got interrupted by Captain Shandoa talking to Sabine.
"Cadet Wren," Captian Shandoa said, "did you know your partner Cadet Trayec went on a patrol?"
"Yes," Sabine said, "where is he?"
"He has been captured by rebel forces as well as the rest of the patrol we have received a message from him and we will be sending a rescue team that you will be a part of." Captain Shandoa said, "Do you have any questions cadet?
"Umm why am I a cadet being sent?" Sabine asked thinking it was maybe a training sim or something but she'll see tomorrow.
"For experience plus you have better aim then all of the storm troopers i know and could beat a lot of them in most situations." Captain Shandoa answered, "Continue on with your day cadet." he said walking away.
Sabine thought that no way that could be real he would have been more sensitive she was 15 for the manda's sake so its almost defiantly a training exercise. Sabine continued on her day getting more and more worried as the teachers acted like it was real too "this is gonna be bad." she thought.
17:00 the next day.
"This was no drill." Sabine thought "They gave me live ammo, live blasters, live detanators, this has got to be real they brought in super commandos, graduates from this accademy needed elsewhere they would not be here." Sabine thought to her self as the squad leader made a speach about protecting the Empire and Mandalor and how the cadets are the future of Mandolar while in a transport on the way there a few minutes later when they got there they got guned at from the get go two troopers got hit but shrugged it off due to the bascar armour and then Three of the troopes taking out the people up top with Sabine and two other troopers going for the ones on the ground floor in the fire fight Sabine had taken out three of the enemies while there were around a dozen and as they entered they saw a stair well leading down and in the basment they saw Trayec tied to a large pilliar who looked like he had been thrown out in front of a freighter with none of the other cadets in sight.
Sabine ran over to Trayec and untied him which made him fall onto her when she caught him and put him in a position where she could support him while not carrying him then Sabine asked Trayec "Where are the other cadets?"
"De...dea..dead...bod...bodies th...there." Trayec managed to say in between coughing up blood and pointing to a door on the right "Die...died t...twoish hours ago."
"Okay we need to get you medical support so you three," the super commando captain said pointing to three super commando "get the bodies and meet us in the transport within 3 minutes everyone else lets go back to the transport."
Sabine started to head back to the transport helping Trayec along the way when Trayec started to talk, "Th..the rebels they..they lined the others up and...and they executed them." he said sounding pained.
"You can save that info for command right now I want to know if your ok." Sabine said to Trayec. Trayec started to fell a feeling a strang feeling that he hadn't felt before to Sabine he couldn't figure out what it meant so he focused on the mission.
"We can't...do any...anything till we get to medical." Trayec said while coughing up blood.
The super commados all got on board with the bodies and helmets of the cadets that recorded everything that had happened. The cadets that died had a blaster wound to the front of the head execution style like they were lined up and executed except for one who had a blaster burn to the shoulder and another one it the head looking like someone stood over them and shoot them. "Thats horrible," Sabine thought "they just lined up 15 year olds and blasted them this is why we need the Empire." soon after the super commandos got on the captain spoke up interrupting her thoughts "Lets get back to base and get this cadet patched up."
"Yes Sir!" the transports pilot said while starting up the transport.
A half an hour after the transport arrived in the Command Center.
"Head Master Sen we fixed the helmets and have their recordings." a officer said to the Head Master.
"Good I didnt want to wait 2 days for the cadet to be out of medical to know what happened now, play them." Head Master said.
The recording began a minute before the firefight betwen the cadets and rebels started when Trayec said that they should pay more attention when then when the rebels started blasting at them and the cadets dived for cover and Trayec commed command. One of the cadets who wasnt paying attention got stunned immediately when the cadets realized the rebels were trying to capture them one cadet blasted one rebel before going down while another cadet got one as well while Trayec was able to blast 3 before being taken down then it showed the rebels dragging the cadets to their hideout before reporting to a leader that was to far away to see before they tied up the cadets and woke them up when they saw the leader was Saw Gerrera he started talking to the cadets "What do you know about the weapons devolpment at the Imperial Accademy?"
Saw pulled out his pistol and aimed at one of the cadets when a female cadet spoke up, "All of us cadets accept him" she pointed at Trayec "don't know anything about weapons devolpment."
"Thank you." Saw pointed the blaster at the female cadet "Now what do you know about the weapons devolpment at the Imperial Accademy."
"If you hurt a single one of these cadets it will backfire i do not know when but it will hurt you and the rebels I dont care about what you do to me just don't do anything to them." Trayec motioned twoards the cadets.
"You know what, I don't need these cadets anymore." Saw said as he blasted one cadet in the head.
"Stop please!" Trayec yelled as Saw went over to the next cadet and blasted him now it was just the girl and Trayec then he blasted her in the shoulder and Trayec went over to her barley being able to hold her to comfort her and saying "Its gonna be alright you'll be fine just hold on."
She started to speak "No this is my fault there dead because of me."
"No stop he killed them not you its not yo-" Trayec was saying before being dragged away by Saw's men.
Saw stood over the female cadet and pointed the blaster at her head and blasted her one final time. "This is what happens to those who serve the Empire." Saw said looking at Trayec
"I'm gonna kriffing kill you! rember this you will kriffing die!" Trayec yelled at Saw with pure anger.
The rebels tied him the pole in the middle of the room and saw said, "Time to figure out about the weapons devolpment program." Saw said before removing his helmet putting on a table that faced the interrogation and punching him in the face.
"Kriff you reb-" Trayec was saying before being punched again.
Then Saw said "Continue the interrogation till he gives up the information we want I have to head back to base auric 3." the rebels nodded and countinued while also cuting him on some places the interrogation lasted for hours before Trayec passed out from all the pain and it showed the eventual rescue.
While the officer looked angered and shocked at what the rebels did this Head Master Sen looked happily suprized maybe impressed then Sen said "I'm suprized the cadet said nothing about this while suffering enough pain to pass out interesting but he shows a little to much compassion to his fellow troopers we need to keep a eye on him. Well, continue your normal activites."
"Yes sir." the officer said shocked that he was happy about any part of this.
3 months later just after class.
"Hey Sabine where are you going to its lunch?" Trayec asked.
"I'm going to weapons devolpment I'm working on the duchess again." Sabine responded.
"Won't that be interupted by the camping trip that is mandatory?" Ketsu asked has she walked up to the pair.
"Kriff!" Sabine replied, "I forgot about that."
"How did you forget about it it's tommorow!" Trayec asked.
"I dont know i've just been working on the duchess more and more." Sabine replied.
"Do you even know what it's going to be used for?" Trayec said sounding a little bit concerned.
"Well I don't know yet but they will tell me when i finish it." Sabine responded then asked, "Are you questioning the Empire?"
"Yes meaning I ran the calculations and when the duchess is activated it can kill anyone wearing bascar." Trayec stated with a serious look on his face.
"So your just saying I stop working?" Sabine asked.
"No you should figure out what it's being used for and decide what to do." Trayec said, "We're leaving for the camping trip tommorow so all I ask is that you ask about it when we get back."
"Fine." Sabine said slightly annoyed by him thinking the machine would be used to harm mandolorian
"Good we're leaving at 06:00 so you should probably pack soon." Trayec suggested.
"Really 06:00?" Sabine said then sighed "Ok I guess."
Sabine then headed towards weapons devolpment while Ketsu and Trayec headed towards the cafeteria.
Same time group of cadets at the baracks.
"I'm so tired of Trayec being here its an insult to all the Mandalorians here!" a cadet named Tras said angrily to his group of friends.
"We need to get him kicked out but he won't fail any test!" another cadet said angrily.
"Well when he wakes up he takes some sort of pill what if we figure out what thats for and use it against him." Tras said.
"Where does he keep them?" the same cadet as eailer asked.
"I think he keeps them in his locker we can take one to the medical droid and get it tested if it does not say anything on them." a different cadet suggested
"Ok ill grab them." said one cadet before going into Trayec's locker grabbing the bottle of pills and seeing that the only labels on it said that it's property of the Empire and were meant for Cadet Trayec "Ok you were right there's nothing on them so bring this one to medical to get it tested." he said while handing Tras a pill
"Ok if the higher ups ask we found one pill was just laying on the floor outside of a locker." Tras said before heading towards medical.
When Tras got there he asked the droid "Hey droid can you test this pill i found in the Baracks?" he then handed the droid the pill.
"Yes cadet." the medical droid said putting the pill in some random machine and after a few secounds it beeped and displayed some words when the droid said, "This pill was specifically to made to help make certain memorys be forgotten when the pill was taken and lasts for 12 hours and it is chosen by the doctor who makes a pill specifically for the patient this one is for Cadet Trayec."
"So if be stopped taking the pills what would happen?" Tras asked.
"In Cadet Trayec's place he would be fine in most ways other than nightmares unless someone talked about his deased family to much. then he will most likely fall to the ground and relive traumatic memories or role up into a ball and relive traumatic memories."
"Ok." Tras said before running back to the baracks.
"Ok there some kind of memory pills we should take them when we get to the camp and we should talk about his family because he will either fall to the ground and relive traumatic memories then we can say he's unstable." Tras stated.
"Ok then we can wait till camp and say they must have fallen out of his bag." one cadet said.
"Thats exactly what I was thinking." Tras said before walking out.
2 days later above alderaan.
Trayec woke up from feeling the ship jolt out of hyperspace "So we're there." he thought he was thankful the uneventful trip was over. Then out of instinct got up to get his pills but he forgot they were in the cargo hold he would just have to hold out until they set up their camp in one of the uninhabited valleys Trayec thought he heard one of the officers call it Vinci's point what ever its called they were around 2 minutes from landing then Sabine and Trayec would have to set up their tent that they were sharing like all of the other partners did.
In Sabine and Trayecs tent after they got everything set up and everything from the cargo hold after Tras and his friends had went through with the first part of his plan.
Sabine was walking in the tent when she heard Trayec say, "Kriff!" then he asked her "Sabine have you saw anyone with my pills?"
"No," Sabine responded, "are you sure they didn't fall out?"
"Yes I'm sure i tied it shut with one knot and now its tied shut with a knot I don't even know and all that is gone is my pills. Someone meant to take my pills. What if I have a panic attack, that's going to cause major problems." Trayec said the last part sounding very worried.
"Hey you should be fine most people don't ask about your family." Sabine said trying to make him fell better.
"I hope your right." Trayec said before heading off to the some of the cadets and a counselor making a fire.
"Hey Cadet Trayec we were talking about different clans what one of the clans are you in?" the counselor assigned to their group asked not knowing his situation.
"Oh I'm the first cadet who isnt Mandolorian." Trayec said sounding a little proud.
"Oh where are you from?" the suprized counselor asked.
"I'd perfer not to say" Trayec said slightly sadly.
"Ok" the counselor responded, "I'll be heading to the officers lodge to talk about our plans for tommorow I'll be back in a hour or so." he said before heading to the officers lodge.
Then Tras decided it was part 2 of his plan while all of the cadets accept him and his friends were in their tents and said, "Hey Trayec what happened to your family."
"I don't want to talk about it." Trayec said coldly and he felt a very slight amount of nausea.
"Well they probably died like cowards." Tras said.
"No! They were not cowards they were pacifists." Trayec almost yelled with anger he was very nauseous now.
"Whats the difference they all died without a fight like cowards." Tras said.
Trayec tried to charge at him but fell onto the ground due to the nausea and started to relive the death of his family again.
Sabine had heard Trayec fall and yell so she went outside to see him laying on the ground with his eyes closed then she said "Trayec, Trayec are you all right?" then she turned to Tras and his friends and asked "What the kriff did you do to him?"
"We just had a chat." Tras said with a evil grin.
Sabine knew what Tras meant, he talked about Trayec's family to make him pass out she picked him up and carried him back to their tent and set him down on his bed and started to talk to him trying to calm him down knowing he was still semi conscious and that he might be able to be talked back to full consciousness, "Trayec come on you can do this I know it's hard to lose family but its in the past accept the past but don't let it ruin your future."
Trayec started to move a little then opened his eyes "Sabine?" he asked.
"I'm here Trayec." Sabine said.
Trayec hugged her as tight as he could which suprized Sabine and then he said something that suprized her even more, "Thank you sister." (in mando'a.)
Sabine was completely shocked by him saying that and asked, "Do you really mean that?"
"Absolutely." Trayec answerd then Sabine started hugging him back as tight as she could.
"Wait a minute you speak mando'a?" Sabine asked shocked while breaking the hug.
"I do my best." Trayec said with a smile.
"How long have you been able to speak mando'a?" Sabine said still shocked.
"A month or so before the academy." Trayec said proudly.
"Well your really good for a non native speaker." Sabine said sounding impressed.
"Thank you I should probably get to bed though." Trayec said.
"Yeah me to." Sabine said heading to her sleeping bag and laying down "Goodnight Trayec."
"Goodnight Sabine." Trayec said.
Sabine fell asleep but Trayec didn't. He was distracted by his felling for Sabine that he had gotten when she saved him from the rebels got 100 bigger he started to think about it when he realized what the felling was... Love. he never loved anyone who wasn't his family he got really nervous he decided to figure out what to do in the morning.
8 months later.
"Hey Trayec," Sabine said then asked "what are you doing for the free period?"
"I'm going to the firing range" Trayec responded then asked "don't you have to work on the duchess?"
"Finished the prototype earlier today." Sabine said just a secound before realising Trayec was going to ask about it again and saying "Before you ask they told me I would see its use tommorow."
"Ok lets hope it's for good." Trayec said sounding a little worried. then they both entered the firing range
"Has anyone beat any of my records?" Sabine asked knowing the answer was probably no.
"I beat one almost two but my blaster overheated I beat most headshot kills on a target." Trayec said Sabine could tell he wasnt lying.
"What about the one you almost beat?" Sabine said with a frown.
"Targets down on was using a DLT-19 somebody gave but they forgot to cool it down what did you use?" Trayec said a little annoyed.
"I used 2 WESTAR 35s." Sabine responded.
"Oh that makes sense." Trayec said then asked, "Do you possibly want some training with the E-11s sniper I hear most people can barely fire the thing let alone use it effectively."
"Is that a challenge?" Sabine asked with a smirk.
"If it makes you do some training with it then Yes." Trayec said with another smirk. They proceeded to practice with the E-11s sniper and a little bit about spoting just in case. Before eventually they had to continue on with the day and go to class
At a assembly called the next day with Sabine, Ketsu and Trayec all sat next to each other.
"Hey what do you think this assembly is about?" Ketsu asked.
"I dont know but I dont like it." said Trayec.
"It's probably something about the duchess." Sabine said.
"Thats another reason to not like it." Trayec said.
"Wait you dont trust the duchess project?" Sabine asked thinking all of the questions before were just normal for Trayec.
"Ever since i learned what it could do." Trayec said before noticing that the assembly was starting.
"Students as you may know we have been dealing with rebellious clans of mandolorians for a while now and now we have a solution," Head Master Sen said and Trayec's eyes widened at the realization of what he was about to say while the others just looked confused then Sen said the words that Trayec was hoping he wouldnt hear, "the duchess!" after Sen said that Sabine looked horrified at the words that came out of hos mouth she was thinking what he meant, "What did they mean the duchess wouldn't help unless... Trayec was right..." she then got very worried "No the Empire couldn't do that yes they'll use it for something else." then she saw a holovid screens turn on and saw a modified walker start moving twoards people in bascar armour they weren't attacking the walker or running so they were probably random people dressed in bascar it was a live holovid the walker made a noise a unmistakable noise then it fired. The screams of the people were horrible they were pain and agony then Trayec turned to where Sabine was sitting to see how she was reacting and to comfort her but she was gone he didn't know where she was but he would have to look "She cant deal with this alone." Trayec thought before running off to look for her.
Same time in the halls leading to the baracks.
Sabine was running away she couldn't deal with it, "Those people had horrible painful deaths because I couldn't read the obvious signs that they were going to use the duchess as a weapon, Trayec warned me now they're going to use it against mandolorians maybe even my clan why was i so stupid i cou-" then she was knocked her out of her thought when a stun round hit her and she passed out.
A while later Sabine woke up to feel her her arms and legs tied up with a rope and a figure standing over her tighteninging the rope on her right arm when he noticed she was awake, "Hello Cadet Wren." Captain Shandoa said with a evil grin, "You may have had protection given by your mother but know you have lost all of that protection."
"What are you going to do?" Sabine asked sounding worried.
"I'm going to do something I've wanted to do for a long time." Captain Shandoa said while moving his hand to her uniforms zipper then Sabine feeling the scardest she has ever felt as he grabbed on to it and started to pull he got half way down and the the sound of a blaster rang out and Captain Shandoa's lifeless body fell down on Sabine who couldn't move him off the Trayec ran over to her and pulled the Captain's corpse off of her and started to untied the ropes and asked, "Sabine are you ok?" he looked very worried for her.
"Yes I'm fine but I dont deserve to be fine after what I did." Sabine said after zipping up her uniform.
"Sabine don't say that if you weren't working on it someone else would have and they wouldn't have changed it like we can." Trayec said the last with extra emphasis.
"What do you mean we can change it?" Sabine asked.
"I mean you, me, and Ketsu can destroy the duchess and its plans then escape the accademy." Trayec said.
"But me and Ketsu made a commitment our familes would disown us in order to protect our clans they have to because of the Resol'nare." Sabine said then asked "Also why does Ketsu have to be involved?"
"2 reasons 1. the Empire would interagate her until she died or gave up info on us which she wont have then be killed" Trayec said then jokingly asked "and 2. do you really want Ketsu to stay in the Empire after what they did?"
"I guess your right but we have to do this soon you just killed a Imperial officer and th-" Sabine was saying then got enterupted by Trayec.
"He deserved it." he said she couldn't tell if he was making a joke or defending himself but it didnt matter but then he started talking again "Anyways I'll get Ketsu she won't be happy with you but I wont tell her until shes here and then I'll help you with whatever happe-" then Sabine interrupted him.
"I can help my self." Sabine said thinking that Trayec might start to see her as weak
"Sabine you said that my memories may be my problem but we can get through it together" Trayec said in a calm but serious voice looking into her eyes with his beautiful bright green eyes that were convincing her everything can and will be fixed then then she snapped out of it and started to listen again, "-so the duchess is your problem that we can get through it together that does not make you weak."
"Fine." Sabine said "Go get Ketsu."
"Ok be ready when i get back." Trayec said before running off to get Ketsu. Sabine went to the bathroom to try to find away that made it look like she wasnt crying so she didnt look as weak.
A couple minutes later out side of the assembly.
When Trayec got to where Ketsu was while she was exiting the assembly now that it was about to be over so she could get out first while looking very pissed off then Trayec ran up to her and started to say, "Ketsu i know your mad but I-"
"Ketsu cut him off and said, "Mad? mad! I going to kriffing kill her how could she do this she's a kriffing Mandalorian for the manda's sake."
Then Trayec started to talk again "Ketsu whats more important revenge or saving as many mandolorians as you can, maybe even some of your clan?"
"How, how do you plan to do that its under gaurd by at least 2 storm troopers at a time probably more now." Ketsu asked still visibly angery even though she was a little less so.
"Well follow me and we'll make a plan." Trayec said running off to the Baracks Ketsu soon followed even though she still very angry but she was a lot less angry then when Trayec got there.
It took Trayec like 10 minutes for Trayec to get back which was plenty enough time for her to make it look lime she didn't cry at all so when they got back it wouldn't look like she cried so when Sabine heard them and exited the bathroom only for Ketsu to angrily say, "Whats the damn plan?" she sounded more angery then she ever had before but that was understandable.
"Well i was thinking we have 1 blaster so why don't we have one person get up close and take out one gaurd while the other one gets blasted then we can raid the armory/prototype area, arm up, destroy the duchess and then head to the Data Center and destroy all experimental weapons plans." Trayec said seriously.
"Sounds like a sound plan except you know, they are all trained soldiers!" Ketau said angrily.
"Ketsu all storm troopers are not super commandos they have to wear those dumb helmets that you can't hit anything while wearing them and armor that makes you go down in a shoot or two." Trayec responded.
"If we die I'm gonna kick your shebs, now let's go!" Ketsu said before starting to head towards weapons devolpment to execute their plan.
"Ok I'm going to lure one over here Sabine you blast the other one Ketsu will be waiting here and then when I get him over here Ketsu and I deal with the trooper I lured over here and plan begin." Trayec said before starting to run up to the troopers.
"Wait how will we know whe-" Ketsu was saying before he realized he was to far away to hear her.
Then Trayec started to talk to the troopers frantically "Troopers there was a cadet they stole a blaster from the armory and strated to blast any one they saw they blasted a couple cadets and a officer you have to help they were following me and-look out!" Trayec shouted as Sabine blasted one of the troopers like he had been motioning her to do the the trooper turned to Sabine as Trayec punched him on the small unarmored part of his suit on the back of his neck as he dropped to the floor dead instantly.
"Why didnt you follow the plan?" Ketus asked sounding a little angry because she couldn't do anything.
"They were stupider than I expected they just let me run up to them on high alert and get behind them they were really kriffing stupid." he siad while rubbing part of his knuckle that had hit the helmet.
"Umm is he dead because hes not breathing." Sabine asked.
"Yes he's dead now lets get going." Trayec said while grabbing the key card for the door from his body.
"How did you do that?" Ketsu asked. "Your not even Mandolorian and they don't teach that here."
"Well once I left the accademy I would be going into a special forces unit and i have most of the training for it all ready and I went on a lot of missions so I know about how to kill a enemy from behind as quietly and quickly as possible, I'll talk more about it later I promise." Trayec said while opening the door and heading twoards the armory/prototype area.
When they got there they saw that all 5 guards in the area were guarding the duchess in a way you could only take them out in a all out assault which put the cadets at a disadvantage but they didn't guard the armory which was very stupid so they went to the armory and they started to get armed with the weapons from many different places both loyal to the empire and a little less loyal Ketus grabbed a staff taken off a dead rebel and Sabine took two westar 35s and grabbed her Mandalorian armor she took to the accademy Ketsu left hers at home while Trayec grabbed one A-180 blaster pistol with a holster and a med kit he could strap to his belt and he was moving towards a vibro sword when Ketsu spoke up, "Are you sure you know how to use that?"
"Yes." Trayec said while grabbing the short vibro sword then he straped it to his belt then said "Ok I say we just blast them from afar where they can't see us."
"Can't we be a little more quite it'd make it a lot easier in the long run." Ketsu asked.
"No there up against a wall with a view on every approach we'd be spotted imeditaly." Trayec replied seriously getting in to a position where he could blast the troopers but the couldn't blast him back "I'll take the two furthest to the right." Trayec stated.
"I'll take the two on the left." Sabine responded.
"I'll take the middle one then." Ketsu added.
The one furthest to the right dropped then three on the left dropped a second after wards then the last one dropped.
The cadets ran over to the duchess then the cadets set up detanators with motion sensors so if any one Tried to check on the duchess they would be blown to shreds but they were far enough away to not stop the duchess explosion by breaking the duchess. The cadets started to move towards the data Center and they were half way there when they ran into barely any resistance the occasional stormtrooper or two but nobody else which was strange it would mean nobody had sent out a distress com which was almost impossible but they pushed forwards until they were there and then there were no guards at all and that was extremely strange but they entered then it clicked in Trayec's mind that it was a trap and he shouted "Duck!" while pushing Sabine and Ketsu to the ground and turning around to see three stormtroopers one aiming at Sabine and two aiming at him he knew he couldn't get all three so he blasted the one aiming at Sabine then got blasted in the shin and the chest before Sabine and Ketsu blasted the other 2.
Sabine ran over to Trayec and asked, "Are you okay?" she sounded very worried.
"I'm okay I think I will only have a temporary limp and that's it." Trayec said grabbing the med kit and putting on some bandages that had bacta on them and then putting on a splint and then applying a bacta patch to his chest wound that stopped before it hit anything important.
"You could have died!" Sabine said sounding very aggravated.
"You could have died if he didn't get blasted and if were going to have a argument please work and talk." Trayec said while Sabine sat down in front of computer that had the files on it.
"Do you think i can't take care of myself?" Sabine asked while clearly being frustrated.
"No but do you have magic powers to avoid a blaster you didnt see pointed at you, no I didnt think so and just because you get help doesn't mean you cant take care of yourself or that your weak, in fact your one of the strongest most self sufficient people I have ever meant." Trayec said then the computer beeped and shut off.
"Thank you we can go now." Sabine said sounding like she didn't believe Trayec.
"Sabine I'm serious and yes we can go now." Trayec said with a serious tone in his voice.
"Can you two do this some other time we need to get to the hanger." Ketsu said sounding annoyed.
"About that do any of you have a ship we can use we can't use the Imperial ship we steal because it can be tracked after we steal it." Trayec said.
"I think I know were someone abandoned a YT-1760 because both the main and back up hyper drive failed." Ketsu said, "But we can take a shutle and replace the broke hyper drive's with the new one's in the shutle we steal."
"Good idea where is it?" Trayec asked.
"I have its coordinates but its a few klicks away from here." Ketsu said.
"Good then it won't be marked as stolen or anything." Sabine said, "Now, lets focus on getting to the hanger and stealing that ship."
Then the cadets ran to the hanger oddly finding no storm troopers Trayec was about to comment on how it might be a trap before they ran into the hanger and were surrounded stormtroopers and Head Master Sen walked infront of them and he said, "We have you surrounded put your weapons down and hands up and you may live."
"Haar'chak." Sabine said.
Sabine and Ketsu were trying to figure out a way out of this but then Sen spoke again "Why did you grab that vibro sword boy, do you even know how to use it."
"I know how to use it well enough." Trayec said he then whispered to Sabine and Ketsu, "Detonate the charges when I tell you. Trust me it will work."
Sabine was about to ask why wait but then Sen spoke up, "I dont think your good enough. I challenge you to a vibro sword duel for you and your friends safety."
"Deal." Trayec said both Sabine and Ketsu wanted to kill him but then he whispered "Trust me."
Then the two pulled out thier vibro swords and started dueling Trayec looked much worse with a vibro sword then Sen. Trayec looked like he'd last 5 minutes tops add on the leg injury and it wasnt looking good but then Sen tried to strike high with all his force but Trayec blocked it successfully and put Sen on the defensive and Trayec hit him with a flurry of high hits and it knocked the blade out of his hand and him onto the ground Trayec put the blade a inch or two from Sen's neck and stated "Yeild!" victoriously.
"No. kill me." Sen said.
"I won, you have to let me and my friends go if you die the deal dies with you." Trayec said still sounding proud
"Troopers open fire!" Sen shouted while trying to get away.
"Sabine detonate the explosive!" Trayec shouted over the blaster fire to Sabine as the cadets dived for cover.
"Done!" Sabine shouted back to Trayec as the hanger shook and gave Trayec a opening to shoot.
Trayec pulled out his blaster and shouted "Hold on to something!" to the other cadets when he blasted a fuel pod throwing everyone other than the cadets to the floor of the hanger and setting most of the hanger ablaze with the closest unaffected ship being a Lamba Class Shuttle.
They started to run towards the shuttle when Trayecs splint snapped from the strain of running and the fight earlier and he yelped out in pain and fell to the ground when Sabine helped him up and helped him walk to the shuttle. Sabine helped Trayec to the medical bay then she asked "Are you alright."
"I'm ok." Trayec said sounding slightly pained, "Nothing bacta and some rest can't fix."
"I'm going to go help Ketsu with whatever she needs." Sabine stated then she headed off to help Ketsu. Trayec opened a med kit and grabbed a bottle of pain killers and took a few he then removed his broken splint and replaced it with a new one and walking out of the med bay with the help of crutches and got to the cockpit and saw the ship leaving the burning hanger and heading to the abandoned ship Ketsu had talked about.
Half a hour later just as they were landing at the abandoned ship Ketsu had told them about.
The ship looked fine other than weathering which was only minor damage to the paint job nothing they could complain about meaning that it was abandon for some time and they were, in a way stealing it. "I'm going to start removing the broken hyper drive in the ship." Trayec said while walking up the open ramp up to the ladder.
A few hours later when they replaced the hyper drives and jumped to deep space so they could rest before deciding what to do
Sabine was sitting on the one bed that wasn't covered in boxes or ruined from wear and tear and she started to think about the duchess, this was the first time since the Empire tested the duchess that she had time to think about it and all she could think of was the screams of pain and how horrible she had been for making the duchess, then another thought entered her mind what about her clan, she knew there would be punishments for this but what punishments the thought of the most likely one made her start to cry, what if her family made her considered dar manda then she would have no one she would be alone forever her thoughts were interrupted by Trayecs voice.
"Sabine are you okay?" Trayec asked.
"I'm fine, go away." Sabine said quietly.
Then Trayec did something unexpected, he hugged her. Sabine was suprized at first but hugged back after the surprise went away she started to cry when the hug reminded her about her father and brother who she might never see again.
"That's it let it all out, I'm here for you for as long as you need." Trayec said.
They sat there in silence for a while Sabine savored his warmth and how safe she felt in his arms before Sabine stopped crying and said, "Thank you Trayec, thank you so very much."
"Any time." Trayec said before moving twoards the bed he was clearing off.
"Trayec if its easier we could share my bed for tonight." Sabine suggested
"Sure." Trayec said nervously Sabine then moved to give Trayec some space and then Trayec laid down on the bed giving Sabine some room but Sabine soon got sad again and really wanted to get a hug from Trayec again and she pushed her self into his chest and Trayec in turn wrapped his arm around her making able to fall asleep even faster than normal.

Hopefully you enjoyed Chapter one might be a while be fore I post another one I cant make any promises it took me a while to write this I had a large period where I left it for a bit and that might happen again so fair warning but I will he eagerly working on it right after I finish typing this. P.S. There may be two lines betwen a paragraph I tried my best to fix it but they keep coming back though it may just be my phone.
