Blurb: Welcome one and all to my very first warriors Fanfic. This one in particular is what I like to call a crossover fanfic. A plot based on another story which I've remade in a warriors world. This one is a crossover between warriors (by Erin Hunter) and Murder Most Unladylike (by Robin Stevens). Two of my favourite authors so I hope this fanfic does their books justice! Anyway, without further ado, let's get on to this story's proper blurb.

Proper Blurb: When two young apprentices of PineClan, Daisypaw and Hazelpaw, begin a Detective Society, they can't find any truly exciting cases. But that all changes when Hazelpaw discovers the body of the PineClan deputy in the abandoned training hollows - but when she returns with Daisypaw a few heart beats later, the body has disappeared. Now the two she cats have to solve a murder, and prove a murder happened in the first - before the killer strikes again.

But as the two detectives dig deeper into the mystery, the danger deepens as they realise that everything is not what it seems. Dark secrets lurk in the shadows, and lies have been built in the heart of PineClan. As the murder stalks, hidden in the shadows, no cat is safe and it is up to Hazelpaw and Daisypaw to discover the killer's identity and save their clan - no matter what the truth reveals.

But will they succeed?

And can their friendship stand the test?

THE CLANS

Note: All these clans (except CloudClan) occupy the same lake territory as the clans in the warriors series - just to make it easier to imagine - but I've added my own extra landmarks in PineClan territory needed for the story.

BRIGHTCLAN - Located on ThunderClan territory. Not much to say since this clan doesn't actually appear in the story. Personality attributes are probably similar to ThunderClan as well. Leader is a tom called Birchstar.

PINECLAN - Located in ShadowClan territory. They are a rather proud and proper group, not very tolerant of outsiders. The story centres around this clan. Leader is a she cat called Ashstar.

STORMCLAN - In RiverClan territory. They don't appear in the story either. Personality is probably laid back and casual, but if PineClan is a tad snobbish then they have a tendency to be arrogant or smug. Leader is a she cat called Wavestar.

EARTHCLAN - Located in WindClan territory. Can be rather untrusting towards - anyone really. Can come off a bit hostile perhaps. They don't appear in the story. Leader is a tom called Breezestar.

CLOUDCLAN - Now here's something interesting! They occupy the gorge territory which SkyClan occupy/ied in the books. Since they are so far from the other clans, however, they've developed their own language and accent (and names). This clan is respected by the others and it is common for the lake clans to arrange a small patrol to go and visit on occasion. It has also become common for CloudClan to send one of their own warriors to a lake clan (either permanently or for a time) to teach their culture and language there. In PineClan, this warrior is Robin's Call.

Deputy: Whistlesong - Dull furred white and grey she cat with amber eyes (patrol mentor).

Ravenwhisker - Elderly black tom with white around his mussel and amber eyes.

Mintpelt (Minty) - Plump black and white she cat with green eyes.

Warrior Mentors:

Mothfur - Dappled brown she cat with amber eyes (battle tactics mentor).

Robin's Call - Dark russet furred she cat with green eyes, formerly of CloudClan (Clan politics and CloudClan culture mentor).

Mousestripe - Heavy set, muscular, brown maine coon tabby tom with grey stripes and hazel eyes (hunting mentor).

Rabbithop - Tortishell, white and ginger she cat with blue eyes (conditioning mentor).

Grassclaw - Smokey grey and black tabby tom with golden eyes (combat mentor).

Redflame - Handsome, fluffy dark red tom with green eyes, former rogue (acrobatics mentor).

Violetpaw - Grey she cat with violet eyes (deputy apprentice).

Leopardpaw - Yellow she cat with black spots (lead apprentice).

Elders

Oakbranch - Dark ginger she cat with light amber eyes.

Note: Instead of each apprentice having a mentor, there is a set of six to seven cats who each take groups of apprentices and teach them something different.

Hunting is hunting.

Combat is like battle training.

Battle tactics is making clever battle plans.

CloudClan Culture is just that.

Conditioning is like exercising, keeping apprentices in shape with battle training games (Hazelpaw's least favourite).

Acrobatics is any extra skills like tree climbing, silent stalking and stuff (PineClan apprentices even give swimming a go - mostly to laugh at each other's attempts).

And Lastly …..

A GUIDE TO THE PINECLAN CAMP

It is much bigger than a normal warriors camp I'd say. It is a large squarish clearing with bramble and gorse walls. Walking in from the entrance, you'll have the Apprentice's Grass Lay area directly to your left (a place where apprentices can chill and hang out) and the Warrior's Grass Lay area directly opposite to your right. Next to the Warrior's Grass Lay area is a humangeous Oak tree with a hollowed out trunk which serves as the medicine cat den. Next to the tree is Pine Rock where the clan leader sits for Clan meetings, under the oak's overhanging branches.

Next, covering the right corner of camp, is a decently sized cave-like structure with overhanging lichen at the entrance - the leader's den. Next to that den is the elder's den, the warrior mentor's den, the warrior's den, the Big Apprentice's den, then the 3rd Seasoners and 2nd Seasoners dens. These dens line the far wall of camp.

Next to the Apprentice's Grass Lay area, lining the left wall is a large den for the Nursery and next to that is a den for the 1st Seasoners. Next to these dens is a couple of large alder bushes and the gorse wall. In between them is the dirt place tunnel. The medicine den tunnel is behind the large oak tree (but still inside the gorse wall) leading out of camp.
