Total Drama Presents: The Night of the Murder

Part 1: A Really Bad Day.

Duncan's POV:

All I see is the blue and red colors surrounding me, as the sounds of the sirens deafen from my ear watching all the neighbors walk outside with terror on their face looking at me like I'm a monster. I look at myself covered with blood on my shirt and hands, I know exactly what everyone's thinking and I can't say I blame them. How could anyone do this to someone else and why does everyone have to look at me like I don't how this looks!? I turn my head and see the cops running towards me while reaching for their guns and I knew what that meant, but whatever they tell you just know it wasn't me. I get on my knees and raise my hands knowing that no matter what I do that I was the number one suspect and that I had a ninety percent chance of going to jail for life. Finally, the cops tackle me and one the cops say those dreadful last words before your life is essentially over.

"Duncan Tarun, you're under arrest for the murder of Cody Anderson." one of the cops say to the delinquent. "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in court."

Yea my life's over.

Noah's POV:

Oh, great another day I wake up and regret it. Okay that sounded a bit too depressing all I'm saying is things have gone from stale to bad here's why:

"Shit I overslept again." I say as I look at my phone realizing I should've been at work thirty minutes ago. "I'm so screwed."

I get out of bed and run straight to the bathroom trying to get ready as fast as possible, get out and put some clothes on and leave the house. I get to work fifteen minutes later; it's a big building where propose ideas to other companies it's nice but the people are beyond stuck up and if we're being real they probably don't like me and the feeling is very much mutual. I speed walk to the elevator and tap the fourth floor trying to get to that meeting as quick as possible. Finally, this slow elevator got to the right floor and I start speed walking to the meeting. I open the door and I see all eyes on me.

"Hey guys sorry I'm late something came up." I say as I enter the meet very unsure of himself. "It won't happen again I mean it."

"Umm Mr. Sterecra can I have a word with you in my office?" My boss says trying to not start a scene. We walk to his office and I can already tell that my days of working here are numbered. He tells me to take a seat and the face he makes tells me that he really doesn't want to do this. "Listen Noah I see so much potential in you but ever since..."

"Listen please give me one more chance I promise I won't screw it up this time." I plead to my boss. "I know I haven't been myself lately but I'm getting better."

"You said that last time and I can't keep giving you chances that you end up screwing up not only yourself but the company." My boss says clearly frustrated. "Listen I'm going to have to ask you to clear your desk."

"Fine I understand." I say halfheartedly. I walk out his office clear my desk and walk away with defeat as everyone watches me knowing damn well that this is my last day here and they're all loving every second of it. This is why my life has turned all the way upside down, plus I have to live with my three-hundred pounds of love best friend Owen who is nice and all but beyond annoying.

"NOAH!" Owen screams at the top of his lungs. "Come quick I need you!"

Speaking of the devil their he goes being dramatic like usual, I don't know how long I can stay here if I have to deal with this kind of crap every day. I walk downstairs to see Owen watching the news.

"Sheesh you're that bored that you have the news on?" I say teasing Owen but he doesn't laugh he just turns his head and I see he has tears in his eyes. "What's wrong Owen?"

"...Cody's been murdered." Owen says still crying.

What? Cody? I mean we weren't friends anymore but that doesn't mean he should be dead. I must've been long in thought cause Owen had to snap me back into reality.

"You okay lil buddy?" Owen asked me.

"Who killed him?"

"They say it was Duncan."

"Figures, those two never really liked each, but to kill him that's unreal." I say still shocked. "I'm going for a walk don't wait up."

"Have fun buddy!"

I needed to be alone after that, I can barely hold my tears in but I didn't want to cry in front of Owen who was already sad about the news. I walk outside and make sure I'm alone then I finally let the tears drop. How could someone do that to my old friend? I was in disbelief it felt like this was one terrible nightmare that I couldn't wake up from.

"How much worse could this possibly get?" I say to myself wiping my tears away as two women walk up to me, one was a skinny black girl and the other one was an overweight white girl.

"Noah Sterecra?" the black cop asks.

"Who's asking?" I ask a little snarky.

"You really don't remember us?" the black asks laughing. "It's me Sanders."

"Holy shit from the race?" I ask shocked, to be fair I only paid attention to a few selected people on the race like Owen, Kitty, and... her. "What are you guys doing here?"

"We're looking for you to see if you can help with the Cody Anderson case." Sanders explains to me. "Please this case has turned the world upside down."

"Sounds like you're not really giving me a choice." I say to them unfazed.

"Listen we know you and Cody used to be friends-" Sanders tries to explain before I interrupt.

"Yea emphasis on used to." I say bitterly. "Listen I can't help you I haven't talked to him in months."

I try to walk away but McCarthur puts her hand on my chest lightly then gets in my face and whispers in my ear with no emotion.

"Listen let's do this the easy way so you don't have to get your ass kicked by a white girl and the whole city will know." She says and with that my spine was tingling. "So, let's try this again, would you like to help us with any questions we have for you."

Well when she puts it like that how can I say no?

Topher's POV

Another day to try to fool my landlord into giving me another month to not pay my rent, eventually he's going to get tired of me and kick me out like he should've done four months ago, but if I can just get a hosting job or just get enough clout to be able live that luxury life I always planned for myself I'd be able to move out and get my own property, but I haven't been able to make anything go viral yet. With more time I'll be able to-

"Open up!" A man yells at the top of his lungs. "Topher, I know your ass hears me!"

Speaking of the devil there's that old bundle of joy. How am I going to finesse my way out of paying another month of this rent? Maybe I should use the "my mom died" one or the "my grandmother has a deadly disease" no I know the perfect one I'll use the "my dog ran away" one.

"Hey Mr. Jones, what can I do for you?" I ask with my signature over confident smile. "You look mad can I get you something to drink?"

"Where's the rent money Topher." He asks me still mad.

"Listen man I would love to pay your money but, my beautiful amazing, dog Mr. Sparkles ran away last night so I need another month or two to get over this tragic event." I say fake crying a little bit trying to really sell the act. "I Just miss him so much like life's not fair sometimes, right?"

"Topher, you used that excuse last month." The landlord said losing the anger and getting more sympathetic. "Listen you're a good kid and I think your dream is a bit flawed, but hey kid that's all you." He says trying hard not to laugh.

"Oh yea... umm... the dog thing was to avoid talking about my sick grandma..."

"You used that one four months ago."

"I meant my mom died."

"How many moms do you have because you used that one twice."

"My 'mothers' were gay." I say annoyed knowing damn well that was a lie. "It's 2020 man get with the program."

"Topher I'm serious you're twenty-three you have to take responsibility for once."

"This idea I have will give me all the money I need and more just give me one more month." I plead knowing that he seriously might kick me out. "I know I can make this work I just need the perfect idea."

"I guess you'll have to do that somewhere else." The landlord says and at that moment I knew it was over. "I'm really sorry but I need you out by the end of the week."

He leaves and I just stay standing in the same spot for ten minutes realizing this is real life and that I'm going to have to move back with my parents and get a real job, holy shit I have to get a real job I can't let this happen to me. I hop on twitter to try to get a quick laugh so I can feel a little better, but I see something trending actually two things caught my eyes; Cody Anderson and Total Drama.

Well well looks like I have a viral money-making idea after all.

Authors Note: Wow it's been like two years since I've made a story on this app and it feels awesome to get my creative juices flowing and happy Easter by the way. This story is something I have planned writing for a while but never been able to actually make a compelling story about without it seeming to farfetched, but alas I think I have a good one right here. So this story is going to feature Noah and Topher who are 25 and 23 as our main characters and this takes place a few years after the ridonculous race and this is a darker story which will at times have light hearted moments so don't think it's all sunshine and rainbows. Anyways thanks for reading and I'm going to try to get one or two of these out every week, this Jonny Pickles signing off peace guys.
