Episode 9- After

The prison fire was still blazing and smoke filled the air around it. Luke was walking around and killing walkers with his machete. He thought he was the only one left. He knew SOME of them had to have gotten away but there's no knowing who actually did.

While walking around, he came across Nick as a walker. It started coming towards him and Luke reluctantly chopped it's head with his machete, killing it. "I'm so sorry, Nick." Luke said, kneeling next to him. "I should've been there to help you. If I was...maybe you'd still be alive. I won't forget our life long friendship we had. That's a promise. Say hi to Pete for me, man." Luke said standing up and sheathing his machete.

Luke heard the sound of a sword cutting down walkers and looked down by the fences and saw Michonne killing walkers. She had two walker pets tied up. He smiled and ran down to meet with her. "Michonne. Oh my God I'm so glad to see someone else is still here." Luke said.

Michonne was too upset to say anything. But she finally spoke. "I'm sorry about Carlos...and Nick. I know you two were close." She said.

"Thanks, Michonne. It means a lot." Luke said. "We should get moving. This place isn't so safe anymore." He said.

Michonne noticed Herschel's decapitated head turned into a walker head and slowly walked over to it. "I can't stand to see him like this." Luke said. Michonne drew her sword and after hesitating, she reluctantly stabbed Herschel's walker head. "You deserved better old man." Luke said saddly.

"(sigh) We should go." Michonne said, walking away with her two walkers. Luke sadly looked at Herschel's head and followed her.

(Intro)

Kenny, Clementine, Mike, Becca, and Sarah were resting outside a bar not far from the prison. Kenny was inside the bar by himself. Sarah was sitting against the wall crying over the loss of heer father, Carlos, and the traumatic deaths of Shel and Sarita. Becca was sitting by herself not saying a word. Clementine was sitting on the steps with AJ in her arms while Mike treated her gunshot wound. "How's it look, Mike?" She asked.

"Luckily, the bullet went straight through. You're gonna be fine. But I think you should use that shoulder as little as possible for now." Mike said.

"Thanks, Mike." Clementine said, getting up.

"No problem, Clem." Mike and Clem looked at Sarah and Becca. "Jesus. They've all lost someone. I think Kenny has it the hardest." Mike said, looking at the bar door.

"I'm gonna go talk to Becca." Clementine said. She handed AJ over to Mike and walked over to Becca, who was sitting against the wall.

"Rebecca...I'm-I'm sorry about Shel. I know how you're feeling right now." Clementine said.

"You don't know s**t! You expect me to believe you cared about Shel or what happened to her?!" Shel said angrily, looking at Clementine with dark eyes.

"Yes, Becca. I want you to believe that. Look, I know we don't get along well, but-"

"You're d**n right we don't get along well!" Becca yelled.

"Becca, keep your voice down." Mike said. Becca ignored him.

"I'm trying to help you, Becca." Clementine said.

"I don't need your help!"

Clementine sighed. "Ok. Sorry for bothering you." She said before walking away. Becca put her head back down in her arms.

"How'd it go, Clem?" Mike asked as she walked up to him.

"I think we should just let her have some space for now. She just lost her sister and she needs time to grieve." Clementine said.

"I agree. This is a tough time for everybody. But I'm sure we can pull through it. Man, I can't believe we lost the prison. It was finally a home where we could be safe and be happy...then it was taken away just like that." Mike said.

"I know Rick had his reasons, but I think if we would've all went out to look for The Governor, we'd still be living in the prison. I hope at least some of our people made it out." Clementine said.

"I hope so too. We're gonna have to get moving soon. Maybe find somewhere to sleep for the night. This little guy can't stay out here forever." Mike said, looking down at AJ.

"He's gonna need some food and water too." Clementine said.

"You're right, but we're gonna have to find a safe place to stay first."

"I'll go talk to Kenny." Clementine said and walked towards the bar door.

Luke and Michonne were walking through the forest and exited to a dirt road. They noticed mud footprints on the road. "You think they're one of us?" Luke asked.

"Worth a shot to follow it." Michonne said and they started following the footprints.

"I can't believe what happened back there. The prison, it's just...gone. The Governor, he is dead, is he?" Luke asked.

Michonne nodded. "I let him suffer." Michonne said.

"He sure as hell deserved it." Luke said.

"And Troy?" Michonne asked.

"I don't know. I escaped after a shootout with him. Didn't see him any time after that. Hopefully, he's dead."

"Would you have let the Governor suffer?" Michonne asked.

"Well, he did deserve it. But I don't know if I could've. I don't think I have it in me. I can't even kill a live person."

"But you know you'll have to, right?" Michonne asked.

"Yeah." Luke sighed.

Clementine opened the bar door and went inside. She didn't hear anything and the bar looked empty. She drew her pistol just in case. She went to the back of the bar and saw Kenny sitting at one of the tables with 2 wine bottles. "Kenny?"

Kenny stayed quiet for a while. "...Do you know what it feels like...to get beaten almost to death? Peaceful. It feels peaceful. It was like I was floating away, watching the whole thing happen to me...Then I woke up again and nothing's changed."

"Things did change, Kenny. We met Rick and his group and they brought us into they're home where we felt the safest we've ever been since before the world fell apart. We lived there for 8 months. You were happy there, Kenny. I could see it." Clementine argued.

"Does it f**kin matter?! The place is gone now and we have nowhere to go! There's no rest. There's never any rest for me. Katjaa. Duck. Sarita. No peace. The punches just keep coming." Kenny said.

Clementine looked down, her face etched in sadness. She knows that Kenny has suffered so much loss.

"Why the hell couldn't Carver have just finished me off. Obviously I'm not helping anyone by being here." Kenny said.

"You're wrong." Clementine said, sitting down next to him. "We need you now more than ever. AJ needs you. I need you."

"I've seen you take care of yourself more than any three adults put together. But thanks for saying that." Kenny said. Clementine hugged Kenny tightly. "Now, don't worry about me. I'll be alright. Are you okay?" He asked.

"I just hope we can get through this. And possibly find the others." Clementine said.

"Me too, Clem. Come on. We should go." Kenny said.

He and Clementine went outside.

"Good, Kenny, you're up. You alright, man?" Mike asked.

"I'll be alright. How's AJ?" Kenny asked.

"He's okay. But we're gonna have to get moving if we want to find him some food and shelter." Mike said. He handed AJ back to Clementine.

"Okay. Let's go. I don't want to stick around here any longer." Kenny said.

Clementine went over to Sarah. "Sarah, I know how you're feeling but we have to go." She said. Clementine helped Sarah up and she followed Kenny.

"Becca." Clementine said. Becca just looked up at Clementine angrily and got up to follow them.

Luke and Michonne were resting in a broken-down car. Michonne was asleep and Luke was lost in his thoughts. Clem, Rick, and everyone else had to be out there somewhere. "They could be close." Luke thought to himself. He decided to wake Michonne up to keep moving. "Michonne. Michonne, wake up." Luke whispered, shaking her shoulder. Michonne jumped awake, almost screaming. She caught her breath and looked to see it was only Luke. "Sorry." Luke said.

"It's okay." Michonne said softly.

"Bad dream?"

"(sigh) Yeah." Michonne said softly again.

"You...wanna talk about it?" Luke asked. Michonne shook her head.

"I understand. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." Luke said.

"Despite everything that happened, I'm glad." Michonne said.

"About what?"

"That I'm not alone." She answered.

"Yeah. Good thing I spotted you. I didn't want to be alone either. The last time I was alone, it wasn't for very long. Well, we should get moving. We don't want to lose any of our light." Luke said. They exited the car and moved on.

A little bit of time has passed and Luke and Michonne were walking in the middle of a large group of walkers. It wasn't a herd but it's a big group of walkers. Luke walked closer to Michonne since she had the two walker pets, which kept the walkers from noticing her. Luke slowly drew his machete just in case things go wrong. They were walking slowly with the walkers. A walker walked up beside Michonne that resembled her and in her shock, she drew her sword and killed the walker right away. This caught the other walkers attention and they started attacking also. Michonne and Luke started taking out walkers left and right. Michonne was more aggressive with her kills and seemed to take it on a more personal level. Michonne took out the last of the walkers and then after a pause for to catch her breath, she decapitated the walker pets. When they were all dead, Michonne was crying and out of breath. Luke was just looking at Michonne with concern. "Are you okay?" He said walking over to her. Michonne put up her hand to stop him from getting closer to her.

"I'm okay. Let's just keep moving." She said, catching her breath. Luke and Michonne continued their tracking.

Kenny, Clementine, Mike, Becca, and Sarah were walking down the dirt road, the one Luke and Michonne are following. At this point, they could be either in front or behind them. Clementine was holding AJ.

"Think there's any cabins or anything nearby? We need a place to stay for tonight." Mike asked.

"I don't think so. Looks like we're going to be sleeping in the dirt tonight." Kenny said with irritation in his voice.

Sarah was slacking behind and Becca was getting annoyed that she was slowing them down. "Hurry it up, would ya?!" Becca yelled at Sarah angrily.

"Hey! Don't speak to her like that! She just lost her dad! She's grieving!" Clementine said.

"I don't care who she lost?! You don't see me slacking off and slowing the group down! We should've left her weak a** at the prison!" Becca yelled.

"Say that again." Clementine said angrily.

"Will you two shut up?! You're gonna draw walkers right to us! You'll put AJ in danger!" Kenny said angrily. They got quiet.

Clementine handed AJ over to Kenny. She went to the back to walk with Sarah.

"Don't worry about Becca. She's being a big jerk. Don't pay any attention to her. I know she just lost her sister, but that doesn't mean she can be mean to you like that." Clementine said.

"Thanks for sticking up for me, Clem. I-I just need time by myself. Sorry if I'm slowing us down." Sarah said sadly.

"No, I get it, Sarah. You need time alone." Clementine said. She walked back up to the others.

"You and Becca need to learn how to get along. You two have been doing this for months." Mike said.

"I know. But she makes it really hard to. I feel like if I step down from protecting Sarah, something awful is going to happen." Clementine said.

"Well, we don't have the prison anymore. We're out here in the world now with no walls to protect us. You guys need to learn how to get along if we're gonna survive out here." Mike said.

"I know." Clementine said, looking at the ground.

"Clem, make sure you keep an eye on Sarah. I don't like it when she's straggling along like that." Kenny said.

"I'll watch her." Clementine said.

"Should just get rid of her." Becca said angrily to herself.

Luke and Michonne came across the footprints again. They followed the tracks until they made it to the bar that Rick and Carl and Kenny and the others went to. They entered cautiously with their hands on their weapons. They saw dead walker on the floor. There was also a note on the floor that said "Please do what I couldn't. -Joe Jr."

"Guess he didn't have it in him to do it." Luke said. "Michonne?" He turned around to see Michonne sitting against the wall looking sad again. "Michonne. Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked.

"No, I'm...(sigh) I just want to find someone else already. It can't be just the two of us." Michonne said.

"It seems to be working fine so far." Luke said. Michonne got up and walked out of the place. She killed a walker that was coming towards them.

"Let's go." She said and they continued on.

After walking for a while, Luke and Michonne came across a large, white house. "Look. Think that's safe enough to stay the night in?" Luke asked.

"Let's find out." Michonne said, walking towards the house.

They slowly crept up the porch stairs with their hands on their weapons. Michonne looked inside from the window and saw Rick and Carl sitting against the couch talking and eating pudding. She dropped her sword back in her sheath and started sobbing tears of joy. She looked at Luke and he smiled at her and Michonne smiled back. "You gonna knock?" Luke asked, smiling still. Michonne hesitantly knocked on the door.

Rick grabbed his python and got up to answer to look through the peephole. Carl had his gun raised. Rick saw who it was and started laughing at slumped back onto the couch. "What?" Carl asked.

"It's for you." Rick said, smiling.

Sorry if this was really short. It's probably because I didn't show the Rick and Carl scenes. The second half is here which means there will be a lot of groups splintered off and it might get a little more difficult. I was wondering if I should show the scenes with the characters that don't have Telltale characters in their group. Like Daryl and Beth. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and make sure to tell me what you think by leaving a REVIEW! :)
