Make a while I didn't post a story here. So, this one is an old story I originally posted in Deviantart back in October 2010 (yikes, that's old). The main reason I'm working on that one is because this story is going to be mentionned in one of my new story I'm going to post later. I also really wanted to work on that one.
On that, have a good reading.
The 7 heroes were in the forest, fighting Cronus, during the afternoon. They were in school when Hermes got them from their classes. They hurried to stop Cronus, like always. The god of time was all alone, not having his giants or any mythological beast around him. Even alone, the god had no problem to fight the heroes.
In the middle of the fight, he smirked and started to laugh without any reason. The heroes were so surprise than they stopped to fight. They looked at him like he was crazy, didn't understand why he was laughing.
"Is he really crazy?" Neil asked with an eyebrow rose. The others shrugged, not able to answer Neil. Suddenly, a big cloud of smoke appeared, starting from Cronus. They jumped in surprise, didn't expect this cloud to come like that. They couldn't see anything and it was hurting their thorax, making them cough.
They heard someone fell in the ground and the evil laugh disappeared slowly. As the cloud started to fade away, they began to see and breathe a little better. In the fog of smoke, Herry saw one of them on the ground, not moving at all. He recognized the silhouette.
"JAY!" They all jumped when they heard Herry yelled the name of their leader. They tried to find their way, but even Atlanta wasn't able to see clearly. Theresa did a spell and the smoke disappeared.
"Finally! Knowing it would have work, I would have done that sooner." She said, swearing in her head. They saw Herry, knees in the grass, Jay next to him. Jay wasn't moving, lying on his side. They thought of the worst and they quickly ran to them.
"Herry! What's happen? He is..." Odie asked, worry, not able to finish his sentence. Herry sighed, passing a hand in his hair.
"He's fine, he just unconscious, I don't know what happen." Herry explained and the heroes sighed in relief, glad their leader wasn't dead.
"We need to see Chiron." Archie said, not sure if Jay was hurt or if he had any dangerous wounds. They nodded, agree with him. Odie then called for a portal and they passed through. Hermes gasped in surprise as he saw then. Odie muted a later before they went to Chiron's office. After seek for Hera, they waited on the stairs. Some minutes later, Hera exited the room. Before the heroes could talk, she stopped them.
"I need to tell to you, he's okay, but he doesn't have any wound and I'm really afraid for him. Chiron gave you the permission to see him, if you want." She said and she left the heroes to go to her office.
They quickly went in and saw Jay lying on the couch. They went around him and they waited him to wake up. Chiron was working, leaving space for the heroes. Jay slowly woke up and the heroes were glad.
"Jay! You're okay?" Theresa asked to him. He sat and looked around him. He turned his gaze to his friends, the surprise clearly visible in his eyes.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but who is this Jay and who are you?" He asked and they all gasped in surprise. Their eyes were wide open, completely confuse and surprise of this entire situation.
"You... you don't remember?" Atlanta asked and Jay shook his head, started to be afraid around strangers.
"Ok, no one panic. First of all, your name is Jay." Odie said and Jay quickly looked at him as he heard Odie spoke. "And secondly, we're your friends. You don't have to be afraid of us."
Jay scratched the back of his head, confused. "Err, alright. Not sure if I should trust you, but I guess I don't have a choice."
"It's ok. Don't you worry. We'll help you." Theresa said as she tried to calm him.
He looked the ground in sadness and confusion. They decided to let him alone in his thoughts as long as he needs it, the time they could find a plan for him. They also noticed that Chiron was clearing hiding to Jay's gaze.
"You know, maybe if he was a really familiar place, he might get some of his memories." Archie proposed in a whisper and the others raised an eyebrow.
"You mean like taking him at the dorm and in his room?" Herry asked in a whisper and Archie nodded.
"Right, it might work." Odie added and he turned to Jay. "Jay? Do you want to come with us?"
Jay raised his head and looked at Odie with confusion. "Going where?" He asked and Odie smiled.
"At the dorm. There, you can sleep a little. Also, we thought if you go in your room, you might get back your memories." Odie explained and Jay smiled.
"Sure, it's worth a try. I'll come with you. Err, as we're going there, maybe you can tell me more about you." Jay proposed, a little embarrassed. Herry smiled and he passed an arm around his leader's shoulder, to Jay's surprise.
"Sure buddy. It will be a pleasure." Herry said and they left the school. As they were walking, they explained to Jay who they were. They voluntary skipped the hero part, knowing it might be too much for their leader. They arrived at the dorm. They came inside and they were surprise than Athena wasn't there.
"So, this is the dorm." Jay said, unsure. The heroes were a little sad he didn't seem to remember anything.
"Yeah. You don't remember anything, right?" Atlanta asked and Jay looked ashamed.
"Sorry, it's all new for me. I don't recognize a thing." He confessed and Neil smiled.
"Don't worry. Come, I'll show you around the place." Neil said and he took Jay to a visit of the dorm like Neil was like a building agent. They arrived at Jay's room, almost half an hour later. "There, your room."
Neil let Jay come inside. Jay went inside shyly and looked around, trying to pick up the pieces of his memories.
"I'm supposed to be a sailor?" He asked and they nodded as Neil closed the door. He sat on his bed. "Thanks for all your help for me, but I can't remember anything. I'm trying so hard but-"
"Don't try so hard!" Odie yelled and they jumped. "Let the memories come back slowly. If you go too hard, that will be dangerous for you."
"Are you serious Odie?" Herry asked. Odie sighed and replaced his glasses correctly on his nose.
"Listen, if his brain takes too many memories one-shot, he might faint. I'm not completely sure on that matter, but I don't want to take a chance." They understand and Jay cried in silence. Theresa gasped when she noticed him.
"Jay, what's the problem?" Theresa asked as she sat next to him, putting a hand on his shoulder blade.
"I'm so s-s-sorry. I really want to remember who I am. I also want to help you but…" Theresa shushed him and she guided him to lie on his bed.
"It's okay. It's not your fault." Atlanta said and he took some breathes to stop the cries.
"Atlanta's right. Listen, try to relax, take a nap and let us find a solution. How's that sound?" Theresa asked and Jay lightly smiled, a little calmer.
"Sound like a good plan, but I won't take a nap. I'm way too tired. It's too much for today." Jay explained and they all smiled.
"Sure buddy. Good night." Herry told him and they left the room, letting him falling slowly asleep.
