Chapter One
Meet The Team
Team Facultative Hibernators, a strong group of controllers and players with certain skills that most in the GGO Football world would probably never have known. The team had played in only one match that brought any excitement to their team. Competition, even though the team had only lost that match was… unencouraging to say the least. It seemed that even in a world of so much joy in the game, if you couldn't find a sponsor, you weren't going anywhere.
Except the GGO charity events, if there ever were any, which marked the first time the four friends were able to compete with their favorite team, and the source of their amazement. Before, they were merely spoken of as a team of fanfiction writers, though they were highly classed among other writers in the category.
Finally, by sheer dumb luck or the work of a miracle, the group found themselves winning what had been a darling little draw, securing them a place in the next competition. The fan tournaments often pulled a lot of support from investors, but was mostly just for a bit of fun and friendly competition. It was just as easy to find a sponsor at one if you happened to be able to do something incredible.
As the months had gone by though, the team had acquired a few additions to their team, though the older players still held a special place in their heart and on the field. The original five players were their preference if things got tough, but there was something special about their other players…
Lyra Anna Ly had managed to get the team another goalie, Belladonna, allowing for either to hold down the goal when they played, both equally as skilled. Bella was equipped with several special moves, including a beautiful array of multifandom (or cross fandom) special moves.
Super VC was particularly overjoyed with his own addition, the Anti-Oscaar. Eat and him had both laughed exuberantly when the player first joined their ranks. He had also given his character quite a few special multifandom abilities, most of which drew power from a certain show called NnT. The male cackled to himself as he heard the news of them winning the draw. Oh how he was going to have fun with this tournament.
New to the previously thought Oil Bin, who had been revealed now as Huytin, was a player named Roy G. Biv, quite the tricky little player he was. The player had the unique ability to switch the color of it's hair depending on what position it was playing. Red was for offense, blue for defensive, and green held the meaning of a neutral mode for playing. The teams signature move, Network Disconnection, forced the hair to stay in a green state no matter what the player was doing. Roy was gifted a quaint but powerful multifandom ability that contained a set of two moves, both of which held a delightfully helpful tune. His own abilities took their greatness from the series, Death Note.
Finally, Mytherina had not taken any new players, but her own had been given a very delicate focus on training and equipping Isaacina with just one multifandom ability, one that she had taken from Star Wars with all the style and grace of a truly advanced Padawan. The Watcher, wherever she may be, would be proud.
A Team that had only really taken the stage once before, and one that was sure not to disappoint. Barefoot would be ready for them and their old tricks this time, which is exactly why they had prepared some new ones. Let us see how they fare, shall we?
