So this fanfiction was written quite some time ago and therefore is very flawed, I'll edit the first chapters until I'm more satisfied with it. Also feel free to give your opinion and correct possible grammar mistakes! This will mostly based on the anime, but also the novel, manga and game (which I sadly have never played, simply read the routes' translation)

Brothers
May 22th is a nice day to move in, she briefly admits to herself when she catches the way the clear sky reflects in the train's glass window, no clouds in view.
"Thirteen brothers huh?.. I wonder what they're thinking right now, it must be weird for them too." Hanako Hinata, our heroine, told her younger sister who was looking out the window with a dreamy look on her face. Being shorter than her sister by an inch or two, Ema Hinata had to slightly look up to give her sister a slightly ditzy smile.
"I hope they like us..."
"You shouldn't be so happy about this, living with thirteen males requires suspicion at all time Chii! You too Nana! What in the world are Rintarou and that new mother of yours thinking?! Sending you two to live with all those...those wolves!" Ema chuckled a bit at her hissing grey pet squirrel, Juli. The small animal was crossing his arms across it's chest with a frown, he always had been a bit overprotective over the two girls.
Then again, Hanako was just as bad when it came to her younger sister.
It's not like it's not warranted, this time at least, she reasoned. Thirteen unknown boys, for Goodness' sake papa.
"Calm down Juli, remember those people are now our brothers, they're family..." The older girl smiled at her sister slightly to hide her worries. If she knew family could be more than just blood, she was also of the opinion that they couldn't be careless with this.
Her father, kind even if far too-trusting, had claimed that both and the first and second sons were wonderful and responsible men, Hanako had been all too happy to remind him of the almost dozen of other boys they would be living with.
She frowned slightly, even if those strangers all turned out to be perfect brothers, she could kiss her privacy and peaceful lifestyle goodbye.
Ema always wanted a big family, while Hanako was quite content, thank you very much, with Ema, Juli, and Rintarou the few times a year he was home. Ema wanted that big happy family so much she threw out caution and comon sense out of the window, the older Hinata supressed a long-suffering sigh.
That's why I'm here, no step-brother would be trampling on her little sister's happiness. Not on her watch.
The four-year difference made it easy for the two sister to be attached by the hip, while still having a difference big enough for Hanako to take care of her younger sister as an older feminine presence.
From cooking to going to school meetings, with no mother and half a father it really was the two of them against the world.
Don't get her wrong, she loved her father dearly, but really he was an almost constant gaping hole in their lives. Hanako tried not to resent the fact, Ema did it as if it was as easy as breathing.
Forgiveness was practically her middle name.
"Nana! Stop daydreaming and tell Chii she shouldn't drop her guard so much! Especially around those wolves!"
"Give her a break Juli, Ema is a big girl and she can take care of herself. Besides she has us to deal with them, if any of them tries anything shady." The brunette sighed tucking a strand of dark brown hair, that had fallen from her messy bun, behind her ear.
"Hana-nee!" Her younger sister whined and Hanako laughed as the train stopped, their happy little trio getting out of the train.
"You two are unbelievable, they are our brothers now. You should at least give them a chance..." Ema sighed as they walked in direction of their new home.
"They still are boys with hormones I can't pronounce!" Ignoring their playful banter, she instead looked at the address on the slip of paper Miwa, their father's fiance, had given them.
"We're almost here..." she casually mentioned, eyes taking in the view the peaceful-looking neighborhood offered.
"Yes! Take me to the battlefield!" Ema sighed at that, rolling her pretty caramel eyes playfully. It took a few more minutes before finally reaching the building, a big truck driving off just as they arrived.
There was a tall man with light brown hair with a smaller boy with pink hair standing near the residence they would be living in, she noticed with growing apprehension. "Excuse me, um..." Ema approached the strangers first, a shy smile on her face.
"Oh hi, You two must be our new sisters! We already moved your things to your rooms." The seemingly - that's the important part, kind-hearted man explained, drawing a surprised expression from the warry girl.
"I'm Masaomi the oldest and this is Wataru the youngest." The oldest Hinata felt some of her uncertainty fade away, Masaomi had such a calm and benevolent way of holding himself that it would make anyone feel more comfortable. "Hi, big sisters!"
So cute!
Ema hid a grin, she knew the moment their papa had mentioned Miwa's youngest son's age that her sister would cave in soon enough, Hana-nee has such an obvious soft spot for kids.
"I'm Hanako and this is my younger sister Ema. We're glad to be here," bowing to the older man at the same time, the girls received a soft laugh from Masaomi. "Well that's good, we are glad to have you here."
Just as Masaomi led them to their new rooms, Wataru who was walking next to Hanako, slightly tugged the sleeve of the loose jacket she had over the burgundy tank top she had chosen to wear today. "Say big sister will you play with me later?" Heart melting, she gave his fluffy hair a pat. "How about I unpack and then the three of us can play?"
"Yay! I'm going to play with my big sisters!" the boy gave a winning smile to the two girls, wide eyes darting to his older brother in childish excitement. "This is so awesome!"
As the Hinata sisters found out, Sunrise residence had many, many floors.
"We thought you two might want to be close to each other. This one is yours, Ema, while the room next to it is yours Hanako," Masaomi figured it was the right thing to do when both girls smiled brightly to each other.
"How thoughtful of you Masaomi-san thank you," he laughed a bit. "There's no need to be so formal, we are family now after all."
Well, if he asked then she wasn't being impolite was she? "Sure…" Both Asahinas left them to start unpacking soon enough, mentioning .
The bedroom walls were a plain white color while the furniture was a dark brown color, it was quite big as well much to her delight. A large window framed by dark purple curtains, the same color as her covers, gave the place a homely look and she briefly wondered if Rintarou had told their new brothers of her favorite color.
Once all of her belonging were placed to suit her tastes, save for some clothes she decided to leave in her suitcase just in case, Hanako knocked at her sister's door for the two of them to meet their new roommate.
Yes, she smiled to herself as she waited in front of the door for Ema to open up, roommates is a good term.
Her younger sister would've hit her over the head for using such a term instead of brothers, said sister was taking forever and so she allowed herself to open the unlocked door. "Em?"
Her only answer was a panicked Juli who had been trying to open the too big door on his own, "Nana! Chii went out on her own, we need to find her before those wolves do!" Despite his words, the squirrel ran past her and to barrel it's way into the elevator whose doors closed before she could reach it.
It was like comparing her sister to a lamb sent to slaughter, lovely.
Figuring that she wouldn't see that elevator for a while, she decided to take the stairs next to it instead. She rolled her eyes almost fondly at the animal's attitude, Masaomi had informed them earlier that the two first floors were rented out while the other four were used by the family, the fifth one a common area for everyone's use.
With her room being on the fourth floor, it wouldn't be too much of an effort to reach the main floor where she was sure Ema had drifted to.
The door she opened hesitantly led to a vast modern room that served as the living room and led to the dining room and kitchen farther along the way.
Hopefully she would reach her two companions before her favorite aggressive squirrel attacked one of her new roommates.
Her hand wrapped around the railing and the girl took a deep breath as to calm her nerves before she would go down the few stairs that led to a group of peope she could only assume were some of her new brothers -
Only to crash into someone she hadn't seen coming from behind her, the force sending her tumbling backwards.
Instead of the painful fall she had been expecting, a strong arm wrapped around her waist mid-fall. Dainty hands shot up to grab at a pair of wide shoulders with a mousy squeak as she was helped up from her almost encounter with the floor. Oh, lips parted to form a circular shape.
Her savior just so happens to have the most breathtaking pair of hazel eyes, her mouth suddenly felt far too dry, swirls of golden brown and green meeting her own wide plum ones.
Hanako does not move for a bit as reality catches up to her, briefly forgeting about - what's it called again? Oh yes, boundaries.
"I-I'm so sorry!" She mentally curses her weakness for pretty things... damn did those eyes qualify as pretty though.
She stepped back quickly, the man's arm slowly letting go of the wide-eyed girl, a curious smirk overtaking chiselled features. As she bows low, a few long strands of hair fall into her face, successfully hiding the ugly blush she knows covers her whole face.
"I shouldn't have been just standing there, sorry." A deep chuckle makes Hanako look up sharply.
"No harm done. You must be one of our new sisters. I'm Kaname, the third son, it's nice to meet you, little sister." The man with the beautiful hazel eyes, now know as Kaname let his eyes roam her figure without shame. "How lucky we must be to get ourselves such a cute sister~"
Flirting? That's...unconventional for a monk(?) - what appears to be a monk, she decides is a safer bet.
Nothing she can't handle though, and so she smiles pleasantly, "It's nice to meet you, I'm the oldest, Hanako. I um, I should really go find my sister." She tells him before quickly walking in direction of the living room a few stairs down where some voices are coming from, aware that he's following her - it is his house after all, stop being weird idiot.
Her inner monologue is cut by a loud exclamation, "Eh? Is that my other little sister?"
A startled yelp is heard from the girl when a hand tugs her whole body forward, landing in a bear-like hug. "It's a nice to meet you hug~!" That's ah...nice? Nice and far too close for her tastes, her poor heart cannot take this unwarrented affection! She softly pushes against the muscular chest she is crushed against.
"Shouldn't I get a name before a hug, uhm - ? " The man(?) laughs merrily and smiles down at her like his birthday and Christmas all came at once.
"Tsubaki leave her alone." The man who was still far too close in her humble opinion is harshly pushed away. My savior!
"You're so mean Azusa! I was just being nice to our new sisters!" The man who had grabbed the white-haired child disguised as a grown-up, sighs.
"Please ignore him. I'm Azusa, it's nice to meet you." Slightly taken aback by how much they look alike, she stares for a bit, they must notice because identical teasing smiles appear on their faces. "Creepy right? We're identical twins."
"I noticed." She thinks her last words over and corrects herself hastily, "Not that it's creepy, I just meant-!" Ema, who is the only familiar face in the room since she cannot see Masaomi or Wataru anywhere, giggles. "You look alike," she finishes lamely and quickly introduces herself - again.
The two grin and laugh good-naturely, she wants to dig herself a hole and never come out. Litteraly.
"You're so cute!" she takes a step back when Tsubaki takes one forward, Azusa taking ahold of the back of his shirt roughly. "Come on Azusa, just look at her!"
Hanako frowns slightly at that, something that has the dark haired twin apologizing again. She nods with an hesitant grin and drifts closer to her sister who seems to be entertaining Kaname and two other brothers - crimson hair and prince-like one, as if they're circus animals.
Annoying, but understanble.
She almost has a heart attack when a certain furry ball of hate jumps to the blonde's face, "Juli!" Ema grabs at the clawing animal hastily, scolding him.
"Oh God, we're so sorry, he didn't hurt you did he?" There's laughter coming from the twins and redhaired one she's sure of it, still she grabs Kaname by the sleeve to make him face her and then inspects his face, carefully moving his chin to the left slightly.
No bloody scratches at least.
The man blinks so very slowly at the genuine worry and care that she shows him, lips twitching a bit, "My sweet little sister worrying about me can heal any wounds."
That flirty smirk hides something, she's just not sure what.
"Kaname stop annoying the poor girl," a man comes in with food on a rolling cart, that's useful. "I'm Ukyo, the second son, it's a pleasure to meet you both."
She nods, noticing he's quite tall as he reaches the sisters' side, the two repeating their names yet again. "The pleasure is ours," the two girl blink in each other's direction at their shared words, matching grins stretching their lips.
"...'m Yuusuke," this one appeared less comfortable with their presence, she notes.
"Yuu-nii's so lame!" Hanako blinks down at the sudden pair of arms surrounding her hips, he smiles slightly and ruffles salmon strands, "Hi there Wataru-chan."
She lets herself be dragged to the couch closest to them, Wataru insisting to sit between his two big sisters. Masaomi who had ended up on her other side shook his head at the youngest's unability at staying still. From his constantly fidgeting to his feet swinging back and forth.
"Were you surprised?" The one she had learned was Iori asked them, a soft smile gracing his features. "When you found out how many of us there is? It must have been a shock."
Understatement of the century.
"We knew about all of you, but it's still so..." Ema trailed off, "Different." Hanako finished with a grin, letting her eyes roam the many brothers with them. To say there's even more of them, unbelievable.
All things considered, she must say things went far better than she had planned, even if she could've done without the hugs - small and adorable Wataru was one thing, fully-grown Tsubaki who seems to want to crush her into tiny pieces was another.
"I'm so happy to have two big sisters now! Can we plan now? I have a big toy rabbit in my room, I can show you if you want!" Wataru grabbed at her sleeve, leaning upwards to stare at Ema with big, hopeful eyes. The girl flinched at the sudden onslaught of cuteness.
"Not now Wataru, they just got here." Masaomi gently chided, reaching over Hanako to grab at the boy's shirt and drag him away from Ema's personal space, he pouted but ultimately listened to his older brother.
How old had her dad said he was, nine? No, papa said he celebrated his tenth birthday this winter I think. No wonder he looked up to Masaomi like one would look at a father, with Miwa always away and the man being something like thirty years old.
"It's not like we're going anywhere Wataru-chan, we can always play some other time right?"
"And that's not all of us if you can believe it one is at work, two don't live here and then there is this guy," Kaname said opening the TV showing some concert, an idol was on stage surrounded by fans screaming so loudly you could barely hear his singing. "Look its Fuu-tan!" Wataru cheered, eyes sparkling in wonder.
"Ugh, that fake smile looks like a cry for help." Tsubaki said, earning a few chuckles around the room. "That's Fuuto, our little rock star brother, his fans know him as Asakura though. Can you believe he's already this famous, at fifteen?"
Asakura?
"Wait...isn't that the idol Mahoko is fan of?" Hanako asked her sister, fingers snapping once she realized where she had heard the name. "Oh right! Maho-chan does talk about him a lot." Ema nods with a fond smile thinking of her best friend, a sweet girl named Imai Mahoko.
Hanako liked the girl, she really did. Even if she could be compared to an excited puppy some times, on steroids. Buying that girl some coffee was a mistake she would never do again.
"Fuu-tan really has a lot of fans! He's famous!" Smiling at little Wataru, she nodded her gaze meeting her sister's. The girl looked exhausted, but happy. "That's nice..."
A doctor, a lawyer, voice actors...now an idol. This family is really out of this world!
"Ema?" The older girl frowned when she noticed the somewhat unfocused look her sister's light brown orbs held. "Do you want to go lay down for a bit?" The sensible skin of her wrist came to touch the girl's forehead, Ema closed her eyes a the pleasant feeling of cool skin over her own burning forehead.
"You're burning up!" The teenager tried to deny it, but only ended up almost falling on the floor, passing out.
What Hanako liked to call 'sisterly reflexes' in action, she quickly caught her sister to stop her from hitting the ground with a panicked cry, Masaomi kneeling down beside them, just as quick.
"She has a high fever." He stated before gently lifting her unconscious body, Hanako's plum colored eyes wide with panic. "Ukyo go search some medicine, please. I'll get her to her room."
Before she could follow them, a small hand tugged at the sleeve of her jacket and she met the teary eyes of Wataru. "Is she going to be okay...?" Expression softening, Hanako ruffled his pale hair slightly. "Of course she is, and when she gets better how about you show us that stuffed rabbit?"
Before any of the other brothers could speak up, she was out of the room, hot on Masaomi's trail.
