Citizens, I present you my new story! I know it's been a while since I posted anything here, but since I'm not a professional writer and I have a lot of things to do on the side, I hope you'll excuse me.
This fanfiction is a crossover between Harry Potter and Game of Thrones, I hope you'll enjoy it, here is the summary:
Summary: Harry Potter, the savior of the wizarding world now turned auror, dies during an intervention that goes wrong. Just when he thinks he can finally see his parents, Death sends him to another dimension, to continue his work as Master of the Deathly Hallows. Armed with his old powers, will Harry stop this new threat ?
As for the pairing, I'm not sure about it, but there is a high probability that it will be Harry x Daenerys. Although I encourage you to send me your ideas (same for the plot, I'll maybe not follow you but I'll definitly appreciate your engagement).
AN : I am in no way the owner of the Harry Potter license, nor of the Game of Thrones license. I have no intention of impersonating J.K Rowling and George R.R Martin, nor do I benefit financially from writing this fanfiction. On another subject, this fanfiction is graded M for the sake of foresight. Thus, I do not recommend reading this story if you do not feel comfortable with it.
Finally, if you don't like my story, I ask you to give me your feedback, constructive of course. If you happen to dislike this story terribly, don't read it anymore (it's that simple).
With that said, I wish you a good reading of this first chapter of my story, Winter Magi !
Chapter 1 - Prologue
"Okay guys, here we go."
In a dimly lit alley a group of 5 people stand in front of a black wooden door. The leader, a man in his 30s with brown hair who had just uttered this sentence, crouches down.
"From now on, keep your mouth shut. You know your role. Agent Burrow and Agent Stan, you come with me, we go through the roof. The rest of you come in through there." he said, pointing to the small window to the right of the door.
After making sure his entire team was ready, Harry took out his wand and whispered "Tempus" and resumed.
"It's 10:47pm. I want you all here in twenty minutes, which is 11:07. After that, too bad for the latecomers, we'll leave you in this dank hole. We won't have any outside help, this is an unofficial mission, England must not be involved, nor must the aurors' secret service. Put on your masks, from now on we go dark."
After finishing his brief, Harry and the two aurors head to the roof. Applying a charm to their shoes, they then begin their climb up the front of the building. After a few minutes, the three aurors are on the roof.
Harry looked at his two colleagues, then pointed to the trap door through which they would enter the building where their target was. The first auror whispered "Alohomora" and slipped inside, quickly followed by the other two.
The three wizards found themselves in a completely dark room. After using Lumos, Harry and his companions pulled out a map of the building. Currently, the 3 members of the aurors' secret service were on the 4th floor, the highest floor of the building. According to the map, their objective was on the third floor, one floor below. Putting the map away, Harry gestured to the other two, then turned off his wand. The three men made their way to the exit of the room, and carefully opened the door. After making sure no one was coming towards them, Harry exited the room. They were in a long hallway, with white walls and many portraits. On the floor was a red carpet.
Harry turned to his two colleagues and motioned for them to follow him down the hall. For a few minutes, Harry and the two agents walked until they found a staircase. They walked up it, still with caution. Arriving at the third floor, the three wizards began walking down a corridor identical to the one they had taken after leaving the room.
After a few minutes of searching for their objective, the wizards found themselves in front of an oak door. Opening it, the intruders began searching the room for their objective, which they found in a secret compartment of the chest of drawers.
It was a ring, and it looked rather ordinary. Nevertheless, the three knew that it represented a huge danger to the wizarding world, for before them lay Voldemort's last horcrux.
Believe it or not, the dark wizard had created one last horcrux the night he killed Professor Snape. A horcrux that had not been discovered since the end of the war, some fifteen years before. They heard about it while spying on a group of surviving Death Eaters. After that, they searched for 8 months for this artifact, and today was the day they destroyed it.
But before that, they had to get out of that building. And Harry suspected that this would be no easy task. Indeed, they hadn't encountered any resistance yet, and that worried him greatly.
After putting the artifact in his jacket pocket, Harry signaled to his companions that it was time for them to go. They headed for the door. After preparing for a potential attack, one of the two agents accompanying him opened the door.
No one was there. The wizard breathed a sigh of relief.
"Avada Kedavra!"
A voice shouted the death spell, and half a second later the man before him collapsed. Directly, Harry ran and spells flew. Pulling out his wand, he looked behind him. There were four of them. The Death Eaters were chasing him and casting spells.
With his last companion, Harry ran with all his might to the staircase they had used a while before, and went down it.
Bam!
A spell crashed into the spot where he had been standing a second earlier. Swearing, Harry retaliated with one of his spells.
"Stupefix!"
Though he heard a body fall, Harry continued to run because he knew the man was accompanied. Another spell brushed past him, this time it was indeed an avada kedavra.
"Shit!" he thought.
Reaching the top of the stairs, Harry rushed into the hallway where the portraits were now awake, looking at him with wide eyes.
"What is that noise!"
"Who's causing that racket!"
"Sorry!" Apologizing briefly, Harry continued his run as a spell grazed him, leaving a burn mark on his left arm.
"Ouch!"
Harry passed two large boards now filled with amassed wizards and witches to see what was going on.
Finally arriving at the room they had come through, Harry threw himself in and closed the door behind him.
Using all the furniture in the room, Harry barricaded the door as best he could. Leaning against the wall, Harry sighed, releasing all the tension he had built up during the chase.
He thought of his teammates, the two secret auror agents who had died a few minutes earlier. Dead doing their job. They knew the risks, and there was nothing Harry could do about it anyway, it was just the way it was, period.
If he was still the teenage Voldemort fighter he was a few years ago, Harry would have probably blamed himself, but seeing all those people he knew sometimes even intimately had somehow hardened him. The war had changed him forever.
"Boom!"
With a bang, the door and the many pieces of furniture that served as his barricade shattered, cutting him off from his thoughts. Just as Harry prepared to cast a spell, a hand grabbed him. Harry looked up at his attacker, but he was wearing a mask, so he couldn't tell who the powerful man was.
Trying to break free of the man's grip, Harry pushed the man against the wall, but the man was much bigger and stronger than him, so it had no effect.
The man threw him to the ground, his head hitting the cold floor of the room. A little stunned, Harry tried to get up, but the man pressed his wand against his neck while holding him with his other hand. Harry took one last look at the man, and knew he was done.
Thinking back on his life, Harry was almost relieved to be free of his suffering. He would finally be reunited with his parents, Sirius, Fred, and all the others he had lost.
Avada Kedavra!
The man said those two words, words Harry had heard too many times, and all he could see was black.
Just when he thought it was over for good, Harry woke up in a place that was extremely familiar to him, Kings Cross Station. A voice called out to him.
"Mr. Potter, I am extremely surprised to see you so soon. I would have thought that a wizard as powerful as you would know how to stay alive longer."
Harry turned around, and he recognized Death.
"What am I doing here? What do you want from me?"
The most feared of all men laughed.
"I can't let my master die like this, not when I need his services."
"I don't understand."
"After you gathered my three relics, you became the master of my Deathly Hallows, and by extension, my emissary in the mortal world. Your role is to prevent any attempt by certain mortals to escape their inevitable final judgment."
"But surely you can find someone else to do that job. Why not entrust the relics to another, now that I am dead."
Death gave him a long look, then continued.
"Oh, I intend to find a replacement for you in your old world, you have earned it. However, I need you somewhere else, so I can't release you from your duties yet. Another world is threatened."
"Another world? I don't understand."
"There are many worlds, and all mortals in those dimensions meet me at the end of their lives. So the Deathly Hallows are somehow duplicated in each of these worlds, because in each of these dimensions mortals try to dodge their death. Thus, I need a 'master' for each of the dimensions under my control."
"So I don't see how that concerns me, since you can find an emissary there too."
"Normally, you would be right. But this is an exceptional situation, one that has only happened once before. Indeed, I fear that the next relic master is no match for the threat to this world."
He took a long look at Harry, sighed, then continued.
"I'm sorry this is happening to you, when you want to find your family, but I really need your help this time."
"Okay, what should I do?"
"Thank you for your understanding, Harry. The world in which you will find yourself is much less technologically advanced, if I remember the history of your world correctly, it could be likened to a kind of Middle Ages. As you agree to do this job that is not yours, I will exceptionally let you keep your memories and knowledge of your previous life, nevertheless, I warn you that the magic of this world does not work in the same way as in your home world."
"Okay. As for my work, can you give me more information about this threat? I'd like to avoid being in the same situation as Voldemort."
"Of course, Harry. However, it won't be for a while, because I'd like you to get to know the world you're going to be in a little better."
"Very well, is that all?"
"Yes. I think you're ready to go."
A swirl of light enveloped Harry, his vision blurring. He had just enough time to hear Death say, "I wish you well in your new life Harrison Whitehill!" before he lost consciousness.
And that's it, the end already. I hope you enjoyed it.
Please feel free to give me your feedback, good or bad.
On that note, I'll see you in the next chapter.
Take care of y'all
