There are many synonyms for the word crazy. Mad. Lunatic. Insane. Deranged. The list goes on. Was he one of these things? All of them? Probably. But one thing was for sure, he was a villain.

Izuku Midoriya had been missing from the public eye for two weeks. The last anyone had seen of him he had taken over a news station and declared war on all heroes in Japan, sparking a civil war between heroes and villains. But that was it. After that broadcast, he just vanished. No one had heard from him or seen him since that day.

The thing was though, he was hiding in plain sight. Pretty much. Midoriya had been staying at his house for the entirety of the two weeks. He hadn't left except to get food, in which he wore a disguise for it. Today was to be the day he finally left his house though.

Whilst flicking through the channels, Midoriya came to a stop when a headline on a news channel caught his eye.

YUUEI TO HOLD ANNUAL SPORTS FESTIVAL

This confused Midoriya. Yuuei were still holding the Sports Festival even with everything going on? Then he thought it could be a great idea to get Mina.

'The most prestigious hero school in all of Japan is still hosting its annual Sports Festival. They have issued a statement that with Yuuei on total lockdown, only heroes that the school staff know personally will be allowed entry. This is to ensure the safety of both the guests and students' the reporter stated.

Midoriya turned the TV off and stood up, stretching his arms and legs then walked upstairs to his room. He began to wonder why Yuuei were still holding the Sports Festival and gathering all the most prestigious heroes in the country to one place. If he could figure something out, then they were nothing but sitting ducks at his complete mercy.

He reached his room and opened the door. Laying there, on the bed, was a small package and a note. He read the note first.

Midoriya, I have not heard from you for weeks. I remember you saying you were going home so I assumed you were just grieving. When you are ready, open this package. It contains a new phone with my number, All for One's number and the location of the League of Villains new base. All for One wants to speak with you asap, he saw the broadcast and wants to know what happened. I refused to tell him as it was not my business, but I thought that you should.

Yours truly, Kurogiri

After reading the note, Midoriya placed it back down on the bed and picked up the package. Kurogiri said it was a new phone, with both All for One and his numbers, plus the location of their new base.

He sat on the bed and went back to thinking up a plan for the Yuuei Sports Festival. Every known hero of the school is going to be there. That could mean potentially thousands of heroes. How do you hold thousands of heroes hostage? he wondered. Then, it hit him. He had an idea.

He picked up the phone and called All for One's number. The line was picked up after just one ring. 'Midoriya? Where have you been?' All for One asked.

'Relax, sir. I have merely taken a small vacation' Midoriya replied.

'I want you to tell me what happened that day, Midoriya' All for One said.

'All in due time. But first, I have a more pressing matter to handle. The Yuuei Sports Festival. I'm sure you're aware that they're still holding, even with everything that is going on outside of their little bubble' Midoriya told him.

'Of course, I am aware' All for One said. 'What is it you need from me?'

'Do you have a quirk that creates explosives?' Midoriya asked.

'Yes, I believe I do' All for One answered. 'How big and how many are we talking here?'

'As big as they will be able to get without being picked up by motion sensors, only about an inch in diameter, and I'm gonna need thousands of them.' Midoriya replied.

'Okay, but if this works, you come back and tell me what I want to know' All for One said.

'Aye Aye, sir' Midoriya said whilst saluting, then realized All for One couldn't see him and burst out laughing. All for One sighed and hung up the call.

Midoriya couldn't understand why he found that so funny, but he did. According to the news, he was a madman, so he guessed that is enough to justify finding the smallest and most stupid things funny. He was actually beginning to remind himself of a villain he had read about in a comic book from a very long time ago. He was gonna look for it and find out what the villain's name was.

Midoriya felt it was time to check up on Kurogiri and see the new base. So he put on his disguise which was just a blonde wig, and some makeup to cover his freckled face, and he was off. Walking along the path, following the instructions and whistling a small tune.

He finally reached the location and opened the door. It was a small cafe. He looked around for Kurogiri but couldn't see him anywhere. He pulled out his phone and sent him a text. A moment later he got a reply telling him to go upstairs.

The base wasn't the cafe, it was a large abandoned office block above the cafe. There he spotted his comrade. 'Kurogiri!' he called out excitedly, like a small child who was visiting a relative they hadn't seen for a while. 'We have a lot of catching up to do.'

Mina Ashido sat in her recently acquired dorm room, having been all but forced to stay there along with the rest of Class 1-A. They were told that it was for their own protection. With Midoriya having clearly gone of the deep end based on that broadcast he made the day he went missing two weeks ago, they were all potentially in grave danger, yet they were going through with the sports festival which the students of Class 1-A were partaking in.

The school wanted to show the country that even though their is a war going on, the heroes are not backing down. Mina knew that there would most likely be some sort of attack in the city because most of the heroes were gonna be scouting out the students in the school during the Sports Festival.

She sighed and stood up from her bed, walking towards the door. She had defended him, all the way till they saw the broadcast. They saw what had happened to Midoriya in the thirty minutes it had been since they last saw him. He had gone insane, that much was evident when he declared war on all heroes, then disappeared off the face of the planet.

His motivation was that his mother had been murdered, by a villain, so he declared war on heroes. His ideology seemed a bit flawed to Mina, but that was all speculation. For all anybody knew, he had another motivation driving him to take over Japan.

Mina knew that she couldn't ponder what to do about him, she had to get ready for the sports festival the next day. And she couldn't afford to be thinking about him right now. If she had kept thinking about what he might do next, she may have saved hundreds of lives.

The Sports Festival was alive and well, with fireworks booming in the sky, signalling the beginning of the festival itself. The class of 1-A were all getting ready to partake in their first game. As they all made their way out into the stadium, a whirring noise filled the air around them.

Everybody looked up to see a helicopter was landing in the middle of the grounds, and nobody could tell who it was. Was it someone famous? A special guest for the ceremony? Well it was, if you want to count Izuku Midoriya as somebody famous.

For the first time in almost three weeks, he had shown his face again. He was donning a black suit and tie. He looked like he was on his way to a dinner party, not to the Sports Festival. There was a collective gasp of surprise from everybody, and they all got ready to attack him.

'I wouldn't do that if I were you' his voice rang out around the stadium. 'I have explosives under every single one of your chairs, so if anything whatsoever happens to me, you all go sky high.'

He started laughing at that last part, his face shifting and contorting as he laughed. Eventually he stopped and looked around, everyone had lowered whatever weapons the may have been holding and deactivating all of their quirks.

'Now I have your attention' Midoriya said. He turned to address his former classmates at Yuuei. 'Guys. Hi, I missed you all. I'm sure you missed me too. Especially you, Mina. You know, none of you should have come here today. You were all put into protective custody by the school for a reason. To be kept away from me, right? Well, you all have messed up, and because you are here now, you all have to die too.'

He pulled out the same revolver used to kill both his mother and Shigaraki, and aimed it at the class.

'You see, there has been a feeling tugging at me, for quite a while now. What little humanity I have left is trying to pull me back from the brink. I can't allow that to happen, so Mina, that means that you need to die' as soon as he finished, he fired the gun at her.

The bullet was met by a wall of ice instead though. Todoroki had stuck his nose in Midoriya's business again. 'You know something, I remember you saying that you hated your old man, Todoroki' Midoriya said. 'I don't have to be hurt for all of them to go sky high. I just have to point at one of them, and call out the seat number and they go boom.'

Endeavor, fearing that this may get out of hand quickly, so he stood up to leave. 'NO! You are not going anywhere Endeavor! If you leave I blow everyone up! So SIT DOWN!' Midoriya yelled.

Endeavor, defeated and speechless, slumped back into his chair. 'Now, let's continue shall we. As you have all surely figured out by now, I don't have the control that sets off the bombs. A good friend of mine who is watching you all very closely does. This took a long time to set up so I want you all to listen carefully. If you hand me Mina Ashido, I will let you all go free. Its' as simple as that. One life for potentially thousands' Midoriya said.

'Not gonna happen, Midoriya. We don't do negotiations with the country's most wanted' Todoroki replied.

'I'm the country's most wanted? That's so cool!' Midoriya said, jumping up and down with excitement. He was acting like a kid again. Like that kid just got the news he was going to Disneyland or something.

'Since that is the case, I'll do you one better. Give me Mina, and I'll turn myself in' he said.

What surprised him with a look around the crowd was that they were genuinely considering this. He may have just split the heroes ranks from within.

His reply though was an array of ice sent towards him by Todoroki. He dodged it rather easily, but a split second hesitation and he would be encased in ice right now.

'That was a mistake, Todoroki. Now everybody here faces the consequences of your actions' Midoriya said.

A moment later, every bomb in the stadium went off, filling the arena with a thick black smoke. 'You can't hide from me forever, Mina. I'll find you one way or another' came Midoriya's voice from within the sea of smoke.

By the time the smoke had cleared, he was gone.
