Chapter 10: Home Coming
When Noah and Kurt got back, Kurt drove them to the Anderson home. Where Dave and his husband Sebastian were waiting on them. As Dave helped Noah get into his wheelchair, Sebastian says, "Dave told me about your plan, Puck, and I thought he might be able to help you scare Patrick. Liza Marie isn't the only one Patrick stopped talking to after Blaine died, and my parents haven't heard from him since. Patricia wasn't even allowed to contact my mother after Blaine died. I don't care if Blaine's parents talk to mine. Liza Marie is my main concern here, and Dave told me your sister grew up never knowing your dad. Patrick has the same quality of parenting as your dad did."
After this, Patrick comes out of the house and says to Sebastian, "What are you doing here? I thought you didn't care about your parents' problems?" Then he sees Noah and his face goes white before he says, "Look, Liza Marie is your daughter now. Why should you care if she sees me or not?"
Noah glares over at Dave, then says to Patrick, "My dad ran out on my Ma when I was ten. So, I know how Liza Marie feels right now. She thought you didn't love her and didn't want anything to do with her. Do you know how many times I had to watch her cry herself to sleep in the last three years?! Liza Marie is just a kid, and it pisses me off that I had to watch her cry every year on her birthday because she didn't get anything from you! Not a call, a card, anything! Three years! I only heard from my dad once since he left me and gave him all the money I was saving up for college! Just so I didn't have to see him again! Liza Marie is your granddaughter still and needs you in her life! Cooper is the only one she has heard from and he calls her when he can! You son of a bitch! Burt is a better Grandpa or dad than you will ever be!" Then Noah punches Patrick in the stomach before he says in a low growl, "Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry!" Before wheeling himself back to Kurt's car.
As soon as they got home, Azimio and Mercedes were waiting for them with Quinn. The moment Noah was in his wheelchair, he heard Liza Marie inside on the phone yelling at someone. When they all got inside, she screams, "Liar! If you loved me at all, you would have answered my calls! Or sent me birthday or Christmas presents for the last three years! You just ignored me and broke my heart! Papa Nono was right, G' Pa Burt is a better G' Pa than you! I fucking hate you! Papa Blaine died, I didn't! I've been here for three years waiting to hear anything from you! But now all I want to hear is the truth. You never loved me at all, and you hate me! Bullshit, G' Pa Pat! You are just like Papa Nono's daddy! I, hate, you!" She soon ended the call and runs to Noah crying.
As Noah held Liza Marie in his arms, she says, "I'm still here! I didn't die! Why did he break my heart, Papa Nono?!" Then he wheels her to her bedroom as she broke down crying. Fifteen minutes later, Kurt goes to check on them and notices they were asleep on Liza Marie's bed.
Soon Azimio says, "My parents cut all contact off with me and I haven't heard from them for a year. Man, your dad told me, his parents were the same way. I can't believe Blaine's dad is acting like this just because he died. I know it's not the same thing, but if you or Puck want to talk about anything, I'm here. Jazz told me to tell Liza Marie, she can call him any time if she wants to talk. He would have come with us, but he was having too much fun at Mercedes' sister's house. Shane still can't believe we're dating or that she takes time out of her busy schedule to see me."
Mercedes lightly hits Azimio and says, "I can't believe Puck didn't do more than hit Blaine's dad in the stomach or that he had the nerve to call here at all." Then she looks at Kurt before saying, "Z asked me to marry him at your wedding, and we plan to get married next year."
Before Kurt can respond, Quinn says, "Z, I'm sorry, I harassed you. I was going through a lot after leaving Puck." Azimio takes Quinn's hand as he says, "I forgive you; Quinn and I would love you to be Jazz's godmother. Ha, you helped Kurt when I was bullying him and I think you could help Jazz. He has been hiding the fact he has bruises from me."
Then Azimio looks at Kurt before saying, "He was beaten so badly that he's black and blue. I found out this weekend his nose was broken. I know my locker checks had to do some damage to you. But I never did the things those kids did to Jazz. God, Kurt, I don't know how to help him. Talking to your dad helps me, but I just don't know how to help Jazz."
Soon Mercedes gets a call from her sister and the moment she answers it. She heard Jazz screaming, "Help! Don't let them take me!" Then Azimio's father says, "You're coming with us young lady! I have had enough of this bullshit! You need help, and I am not going to let your dad drive you straight to hell." Then there is more screaming before the call drops.
Before anyone can react, Liza Marie is storming out of her room and says, "Auntie Cedes, let's go! Uncle Z, you're driving Papa Nono there in his truck! Uncle Dave move your ass they'll need your help! Go, go, go!" This makes Azimio chuckle and he says, "It's hard to believe she is Rachel's daughter. I can't wait to see how dad reacts to her." Then Liza Marie screams, "Move your asses! Come on!"
