Jonas was in his office reliving what had happened in order to bring them to this point when Teal'c came in. Teal'c was the only other "alien" that lived on the base and was also part of SG1. In appearance he was a huge African man with melons for muscles from a lifetime as a warrior. With his black shirt tucked into his camo pants you couldn't see the x-shaped entrance to the cavity that held the young symbiote in his stomach. There was a golden serpent in a ring that had been cut in his forehead before the medal was placed there and was seemed a normal part of his appearance.

"Jonas Quinn." The big guy towered in his doorway.

"Yes T'elc." He said without looking up.

"The delegation has arrived."

"Thank you." T'elc turned to leave before Jonas spoke again. "T'elc, you have said before that the Jafa accept you now."

"And you stated that you will never be able to go home, for they will not accept you." Of course he had remembered.

"How old is your son, Ry'ac?"

T'elc did not show any reaction to this change in subject as he answered, "Ry'ac is fifteen years old."

"Just three years." Jonas said it more to himself than to T'elc.

However, T'elc heard him, "What do you mean Jonas Quinn?"

"I mean that your son is only three years younger than my sister." T'elc did his usual tilt of the head in acknowledgement. Then Jonas burst out with his fear, "What if she hates me for leaving her?"

"I am sure that she will listen to you Jonas Quinn."

Jonas's usual smile came back at that. "Thank you T'elc." Another slight nod in acknowledgement, "And yes, I'm coming." What T'elc had said made Jonas feel a bit better, but he still wondered; Will the Langarians ever understand him and his desire to do the right thing? Would Rosie forgive him?
