My name is Hermione Granger, I am adopted, and I live outside London. I lived a fairly normal life, for the first ten years that is. Just before I turned eleven, I found out that I am a witch.
I remember when odd things occurred, around me, and I could not explain them at all. I had no sense of what happened, but I understand it well now.
I walked around Diagon Ally, and I felt eyes on me, I was walking on my own. My parents didn't feel comfortable going into Diagon Ally, and my parents I mean my mum.
My dad hasn't had a large involvement in my life, and he doesn't like that I am a witch. In his mind, I am a freak. I have often spent days in my room, reading, to get my mind off my father's inappropriate behaviour.
I walked around and saw that everyone's eyes were on me. I was so uncomfortable by this, I did try to shop, but it was hard. In the end, I went into Ollivander's, and I released a sigh of relief I did not know I was holding in.
I looked around and saw an old man, helping a young boy, with red hair, and freckles all over his face. Who was with who I assumed was his mother, and maybe his little sister.
They looked sweet, but once they saw me, they looked scared and shocked.
I walked in, and it was only then that I realised that, their eyes were on me as well.
I looked at the old man, with scruffy grey hair, and he said: "I will be with you in a little bit Miss Riddle."
I looked at him weirdly, I came up to him, and just said "My name isn't Riddle, it's Granger."
I looked to the woman, and she had an uncomfortable look on her face. She looked at me and whispered something into her son's ear.
I don't know what she said, but I know it was along the lines of "I don't want to be here."
I was starting to question what was up with this world. Did I belong here at all?
I looked at the man, and he finished up with the boy, who then walked out, with a horrid look. I walked up to the counter and saw the man already had a wand for me. It was a brown colour, and I heard him say there was a thestral hair core.
I looked down at it and he instructed me to give it a swish, and the next thing I know, I hear a vase shatter.
I placed the wand back into the box it came in and felt the need to say something, "I'm so sorry."
That man walked into the back, muttering something along the line of "It happens more than you think, I don't even react."
I looked around some more, and saw a young boy, with platinum blonde hair, and who I assumed was his father, who was the same. He had long hair, which flowed behind him as he walked in.
I took another wand. This one was black with silver accents to look like vines, growing up the wand. This one, I heard had veela hair.
I looked to this man, and he had an odd look in his eyes. He pulled out the wand, "I rarely make wands with veela hair, but a when a wand with this core goes to a close relative of the veela, they can be incredibly powerful. And I know you will use this well."
I reached out to it. It felt so nice to hold it, and I could feel sparks around me. Everything that was broken, likely in the past few hours, was all magically repaired.
I looked at the man who gave me the wand and saw a look of almost horror in his eyes. I looked at him and heard a sound of coins collecting on the counter.
I looked up at the blonde man, and he had an odd look on his face. His son got his wand, as I waited outside.
I am now, really, starting to question this world. There has to be something that I don't know. They must know something. I hate being left in the dark, and in this situation, I should know what is going on.
As soon as I heard the door open, I approached them and asked: "Okay, why did you pay for my wand?"
I looked at the young boy, who I realised was truly handsome, and his father started to speak up, "You needn't worry my lady, you will have a good life, now I have found you."
I looked at him and saw he was speaking the truth, but he did not make any sense. "I still have no idea what you are talking about sir."
I started to walk away, but then I felt a pull, and the next thing I know, I am in a large room, that was dark, and kind of gloomy, but it was still a little bright.
I looked in front of me and saw that man again. I could not imagine what this man was likely wanting to do. I feel a hug from behind me, and see a woman, who looks so young.
I look in front of me and see the man, with tears forming in his eyes. I glared at him, and he hugged me as well.
I did not hug back, as I did not understand what was going on. I felt them pullback and could see them tearing up even more.
I glanced at the boy and saw him looking at me in confusion.
I heard a harsh voice speak, and looked at the man "It's great you see you again Ariana. After these six years, you are back, the dark lord will be so happy."
I pulled back from this weird man and just sat on the floor. "I have no idea what you are talking about, I was adopted when I was a baby, and my name is Hermione."
I tried to piece the pieces of this puzzle together, and then, something happened.
I remembered a man, with snake-like features, and a beautiful blonde woman, pale golden hair, that flowed down to her shoulders.
I hear a raspy voice say "Our dear Ariana Luna Riddle."
I see a room that was grey, and everything in it was bright. I remember a young boy playing with my golden hair, and him being knocked out.
I remember seeing a man with a long white beard, and long white hair, looking at me with hatred, and fearing my young life may be over in mere seconds.
I remember my life, and this brought life back to Ariana Luna Riddle.
I looked at the man in front of me, and a name popped into my mind, "Lucius?"
I could see the tears in Lucius' eyes, and I hugged him before I could see him ball his eyes out.
I could feel Narcissa hug me from behind. I could also hear them both loudly say "Ariana, we have missed you so much."
The next thing I know, I fainted.
I wake up to the face of Lucius and Narcissa looking worried, while, the young boy, Draco, was horrified.
I sat up, and as I looked down, I saw my hair was so much longer and had an ombre from a white blond to white.
I got up and saw that I had my legs had gotten a touch shorter, it wasn't a big difference, but there was still a difference.
I looked around the room, and it was my bedroom, the one that I was taken, by Dumbledore. I looked at my nearby mirror and a smile crept onto my face. I saw my beautiful light blue eyes, with red spread here and there.
I also had paler skin, which I preferred from my tanned skin. I was also thinner, no more baby fat.
I looked at Draco, and he started to play with my beautiful hair.
I looked into his eyes and saw a blush creep onto his pale cheeks, and I felt mine do the same.
I looked at Narcissa and Lucious. I knew I had something I needed to do.
I walked up to the toxic house and knocked in the door. I realised I had a glamour charm on, and I decided to put it back on, for a few minutes at least.
As the door opened, Lucius barged it open, and I walked up to my room and got all the stuff I wanted or needed to have on my person.
I came down with several bags full. I asked Luscious to shrink them and put them into one of his pockets. At this point, my adoptive mother came out from the kitchen, and looked shocked.
I smiled, I looked to Lucius again, to have him remove the glamour charm. This added to my fun.
After Lucius, Draco and I left, Narcissa obliviated them.
I walk into my room at Malfoy Manor and started to unpack.
I felt so at home. When I stayed with the Grangers I didn't feel that safe. I never felt that happy there. I am happy I found a side of my family I didn't remember.
I felt so happy, and after I finished unpacking, I got a book I bought at Diagon Ally before seeing Lucius, and started reading it.
I, naturally, had many questions for the Malfoys, but for now, I'm content.
I felt safer than I ever hoped with the Grangers. I felt happier than I did in muggle London. I felt better than I have in the seven years I was lost, I felt home. This might not be my actual home, but home is where you make it.
