This is my first Avengers story.
I want to acknowledge that I don't own the rights to the characters.
Now, let's get to the story.
The story begins on Tuesday October 1, 2012.
JFK Airport
New York
The weather is about 65 degrees with a drizzle of rain falling down.
A tall man with short shoulder length black hair, green eyes, and an angelic face is in a taxi just thinking about where he was three years ago.
For the past three years his job had been traveling for a small company in Los Angeles called Crazy Animal World Products, which specializes in selling products for the young adults. His job title was Marketing Consultant which was basically letting the company know which would work best in selling merchandize. It wasn't a easy job to do but somehow Loki was able to do it.
It wasn't until a few months ago when Loki came to the realization that he didn't want to be working as a marketing consultant. He liked the idea of traveling but he hated how much time was put into marketing the product. He decided he needed a change and right away he let the CEO know he was quitting.
When he walked out of Crazy Animal World Products he felt like a relief of weight lifted off his shoulders. It also meant Loki had to decide what his new career would be, and he thought since he was great at writing maybe he should find a job in the writing career. He didn't care if it was doing writing for a newspaper or the idea of becoming a novelist.
A friend of his mentioned there was new opening for a writer at a publishing firm called Swan Publishing, which was new and their main target was the young adults. Loki wasn't sure because writing for the young adults was tough because it had to be something that they would be interested in reading.
When asked where this job would be in his friend Bradley said New York City. It was a surprise to Loki because that had been his home before he went to Los Angeles for his job at Crazy Animal World Products. He had to submit his resume right away because Swan Publishing was looking for a writer to start in October. Also, Loki had to submit a work of writing to be considered for the job so that meant he had to do research to see what the young readers were interested in reading.
After Loki got enough input then he needed to come up with a book title before actually writing it. How the book title came to be "Falling In Love With A Deranged Werewolf", was because of his friend Chloe. She had recently got out of a relationship with a guy who had problems and for a time she could deal with it, until there was an incident which resulted in him winding up in jail for having a mental breakdown in public. It was also because she had obsession with werewolves.
After waiting days for a response he finally received a letter from Swan Publishing, saying they liked his book title "Falling In Love With A Deranged Werewolf", and the two chapters that he submitted. They also let him know in letter they were interested in publishing his book once he finished it.
Also, the letter said he needed to be in New York City right away and Loki was okay with that because he really didn't have a lot of stuff to take with him back. For anything else that wasn't clothes he friend Chloe said she would take care of sending it later when he found a place to stay at.
The time is 9:45 a.m.
Seconds later his cell phone rings and he answers right away.
Loki: Hello!
Crystal: Hi Loki!
Loki: Hi Ms. Swan!
Crystal: I know this is last minute but I would like to have a lunch meeting with you today about your book.
Loki: That would be fine! Where would I be meeting you at?
Crystal: I was thinking we could just have lunch at the office in the conference room. Would that be okay?
Loki: Yes! What time?
Crystal: About 12:30 p.m. if that's okay?
Loki: That's fine!
Crystal: Okay! I can send a car to pick you up.
Loki: That's not necessary but I appreciate the gesture.
Crystal: Well, okay! Bye!
Loki: Bye!
Seconds later the call has ended.
A minute later Loki makes a call to Tony.
On the second ring he answers the phone
Tony: Hello!
Loki: Hey Tony!
Tony: Hey! How are you?
Loki: I'm good! The reason I've called is because I really need to talk to you.
Tony: Loki, it sounds serious.
Loki: It's good news really!
Tony: You're seeing someone?
Loki: No, but I decided to take a new job.
Tony: That's wonderful! It's still in Los Angeles?
Loki: No! My new job is in New York City.
Tony was really happy when Loki said that.
Loki: I also was hoping maybe you could help me find a relator because I need a place to live in.
Tony: That's not necessary! You can stay in my building.
Loki: Tony, are you sure about that?
Tony: Yes!
Loki: What about Pepper? Aren't you two living together?
Tony: Not anymore! She thinks we need a break from each other for sometime.
Loki was shocked by that because he really thought that Tony and Pepper were happy together.
Tony: The truth is...
Loki: It's okay!
Tony: I rather tell you about it in person than on the phone.
Loki: I understand!
Tony: I appreciate that! So, when will you be in New York?
Loki: Well, I'm already here!
Tony: What? (he says in a shocked tone) Did you not tell me because you wanted me to be surprised?
Loki: Yeah!
Tony: Well, I will have someone prepare your room.
Loki: No..., that's not...
Tony: When should I expect you to arrive?
Loki: Probably after 10 a.m.!
Tony: That doesn't give me enough time to...
Loki: I might just come and take a quick nap before I have to go to a meeting with my new boss.
Tony: I'll have a car take you!
Loki: Tony, I think I would appreciate that!
Tony: I'll have my assistant waiting for you downstairs! I have to leave for a meeting but we can go out for dinner later if you want.
Loki: I'll think about it.
Tony: If there is anything that you need just let Lexi know, and she will get it for you.
Loki: Thanks! Bye!
Tony: Bye!
Then the call ends.
By the time Loki gets to Tony Stark's building it is about 10:25 a.m.
A moment later he heads out of the taxi with his luggage and that is when he sees Tony's assistant coming his way. She is wearing a blue suit, and she is a pretty brunette with brown eyes.
Lexi: Hi Mr. Laufeyson!
Loki: I would prefer Loki!
Lexi: That's fine! Let me show you to the apartment that you'll be staying in.
Loki: Okay!
Then he follows Lexi into the elevator with his luggage.
Lexi: How was you flight to New York?
Loki: It was fine.
Lexi: That's good!
Loki: How long have you worked for Tony?
Lexi: About two years!
Loki: Do you like working for him?
Lexi: Yes! He's a great boss even though there are times where he keeps working without resting.
Loki: I should have a talk with him about that!
Lexi: Do you need anything because I have to go do errands that he asked me to get today?
Loki: I don't know but would it be okay if I went with you?
Lexi: I don't think that would be a problem.
Loki: Okay!
As soon as he gets to the twelfth floor where his apartment is, he isn't sure if he likes it at first.
Lexi: Mr. Stark thought you would enjoy being in this apartment. By the look on your face I can tell you're not sure if it's right for you.
Loki: To be honest I feel like there's something missing.
Lexi: Well, if you need anything all you have to do is put whatever you want in your apartment.
Loki: Okay! Show me the rest of the apartment!
Lexi: Okay!
A few moments later
Loki is seeing that the living room looks like something he would enjoy being in. He likes that the is a matching gray sofa and chair. He also likes there is gray bookshelf with books on it.
Lexi: So, you like this room?
Loki: Yes! I would feel really relaxed in this room.
Lexi: Now, let me show you the computer room where you can do your work in.
A moment later he follows Lexi to where the room is.
When he finally sees it he's just taken aback by how green it looks.
Lexi: You're thinking why he had the room painted this color?
Loki: I'm not sure if I could work in here!
Lexi: Well, if you want the room to be painted a different color you can discuss that with Mr. Stark.
Loki: I will! The only thing I do like is the desk with the computer and printer.
Lexi: If you feel anything else needs to be put in this room like art you can do that.
Loki: Maybe!
Lexi: Okay! Now, let's head to the kitchen.
Loki: Will I like it?
Lexi: You should!
Then he follows Lexi to the kitchen and once Loki sees it, he thinks...
Lexi: The kitchen is designed to be very futuristic with the appliances that were selected for this room.
Loki: I do feel that vibe and I think it's great!
Lexi: Cool! Also, you should know that after Tony said you were staying here he said the kitchen needed to be stocked with food and drinks, so you have enough to last in here for a long time.
Loki: How would that be possible? (He says in a curious tone)
Lexi: Well, Mr. Stark told his construction crew to put in a hidden pantry closet that can only be open with the key that I was told to give to you.
Seconds later she hands Loki the key.
Loki: Where exactly do I put this key in?
Lexi: On one of the walls there is a keyhole to put the key in.
Loki: So, would it be okay if I checked it out later?
Lexi: That would be fine!
Seconds later Loki puts the keys down on the blue table in the kitchen.
Lexi: Now, it's finally time to see the master bedroom and bathroom.
When he finally sees the bedroom he is amazed by how it looks, but is especially impressed by the great view from outside.
Loki: I like the view!
Lexi: Good! Now, wait until you see what the master bathroom looks like.
A moment later he goes to look at the bathroom and he is amazed by how it looks.
Lexi: This was finished a month ago!
Loki was impressed by how it looked great with the light gray floors and white walls, but he was mostly impressed by how big the tub was. He also liked this was a private room for the toilet, and that there was also a walk in shower.
Lexi: So, what do you think?
Loki: I probably will spend a lot of time in here being I like to take long baths.
Lexi: Well, that's what Mr. Stark wanted.
Loki: I bet he give the workers who did it a hard time.
Lexi: Yes, but when it was finished he was generous to give them a bonus.
Loki: When will you be leaving to go out?
Lexi: About 11 a.m.!
Loki: That would be fine.
Lexi: Also, if you tell me where your meeting is I can let the driver know.
Loki: It's actually close by so I don't think I will need the driver to take me there.
Lexi: Are you sure because it's not a problem?
Loki: I'm sure!
Lexi: Okay! I'll give you time to relax.
Loki: I'll meet you downstairs at 11:00 a.m.
Lexi: Okay!
Then she leaves Loki to do what he wants.
A little time passes
It's about 11:30 a.m.
Loki and Lexi are at Barnes and Nobles store.
Lexi: So, Mr. Stark mentioned you have a new job here.
Loki: Yeah! It was unexpected because I wasn't expecting that I needed to be in New York right away.
Lexi: So, would you mind telling me what kind of job you took?
Loki: Not at all! My new job is being a writer.
Lexi: That is exciting. So, are you going to be a writer for a newspaper?
Loki: No! I will be working as a writer for Swan Publishing.
Lexi: I've heard that the books are really good.
Loki: Well, I wasn't expecting that they would publish my book.
Amy: It's not very easy for writers to get their books published. So, what is your book about?
Loki: About a young woman who falls for a deranged werewolf.
Amy: That sounds great! I hope your book does great!
Loki: I hope so too! I have to finish writing it.
Lexi: Do you mind telling me what the name of your first book is?
Loki: If I tell you can you be honest about whether or not you like it?
Lexi: Yes!
Loki: Okay! It's called "Falling In Love With A Deranged Werewolf".
Lexi: It sounds great.
Loki: Are you sure because...
Lexi: I think a book with that name title would make the young adults interested in reading it.
Loki: Okay!
Lexi: I would read it. Also, pick a great cover!
Loki: I'll make sure that happens.
Lexi: Okay! So, are you seeing anyone?
Loki: No! I was but I'm not ready to discuss with someone I just met about it.
Lexi: It's cool!
Loki: Thanks!
Lexi: Okay! So, you see any books you want to read?
Loki: I like to take my time to browse and see if something catches my interest.
Lexi: I'm the same way! What kind of books do you like to read?
Loki: Anything that catches my interest but what I enjoy most is reading books by Shakespeare.
Lexi: I have a friend who likes him! She has done a few of his plays.
Loki: That's good!
Lexi: I have to find a gift before I have to finish Tony Stark's other errands.
Loki: Okay! I think I'm going to stay here a little bit longer. Is that okay?
Lexi: Yes!
After ten minutes Lexi says goodbye to Loki before she heads out of Barnes and Nobles
A little time later
Swan Publishing
It is about 12:35 p.m.
Crystal and Loki are in the conference room having a conversation.
Loki: So, what do you want to discuss first?
Crystal: Well, first about how many chapters you want to do for "Falling In Love With An Deranged Werewolf?"
Loki: I'm not sure but I'm considering close to twenty.
Crystal: Okay!
Loki: Is there anything else that you need to discuss with me about the book?
Crystal: Actually, there is Mr. Laufeyson!
Loki: Actually would it be okay if you called me Loki instead?
Crystal: Okay! So, even though you haven't finished the book I think you should consider doing it as a trilogy or as a series of books.
Loki was completely speechless when she said that.
Crystal: I really think book could be a series. If you rather it not be...
Loki: I wouldn't mind if there were other books. I just really want to focus now on finishing "Falling In Love with Deranged Werewolf", and seeing if the book sells to the young readers.
Crystal: Okay! If you want that to be your main focus I understand that!
Loki: I really appreciate it.
Crystal: Okay! I will give you until January 1 to finish it.
Loki thought in his head could I finish it by then. Maybe I can if I work long hours but is doing that the right thing to do.
Crystal: Loki, are you okay with that?
Loki: Yes!
Crystal: Alright! Now, let's talk about how you would like to do the public appearances?
Loki: I don't mind traveling to promote the book but I just don't want it to be a lot of appearances to do.
Crystal: I will note that down and then I will work on scheduling where the book appearances will be at.
Loki: Okay!
Time passes
By the time Loki gets back to Tony's building it's about 4:00 p.m.
He decides to just hit the bed and sleep for a couple of hours.
Time passes
It's about 6:30 p.m.
Loki has just awoken from his nap and he goes to check to see if he got any text messages from Tony or from his other friends.
He finds one text message from Chloe asking if he got to New York okay. The second message is from Tony saying to come to the top floor about 7:30 p.m.
Loki still feels tired so he decides to take a quick shower before deciding what he should change into before he meets Tony.
Time passes
It is now 7:45 p.m.
Tony is wearing a red t-shirt and black sweat pants when he sees Loki in a blue t-shirt and gray stretch pants.
Loki: Hey!
Tony: So, how did you sleep?
Loki: Great!
Tony: I think we'll stay in instead of going out to eat tonight.
Loki: I appreciate that really!
Tony: Do you want something to drink?
Loki: No!
Tony: Okay! Amy told me what your new job is.
Loki: Are you...
Tony: I think it's great news!
Loki was taken aback by that because he wasn't expecting that to come out of Tony's mouth.
Tony: You should be doing something you love and I know how much you really love writing.
Loki: I really wasn't expecting that from you.
Tony: Loki, haven't I always told you how talented you are at writing?
Loki: Yes, you have!
Tony: So, can I read your book?
Loki: You don't have to!
Tony: I want to because I want to give you my opinion on it.
Loki: Well, okay! I expect you to be honest about your opinion on it.
Tony: I will! So, how did your meeting go?
Loki: It was something I wasn't expecting. My new boss Crystal Swan thinks my book "Falling In Love With An Deranged Werewolf" should be a series.
Tony: You're not okay with that?
Loki: It's more that my book hasn't come out and there's the possibility it might not sell great.
Tony: That does happen but don't worry about it.
Loki: Well, I'll try not too! I need to finish the book before Jan 1.
Tony: Do you think you'll be able to do that?
Loki: I could but I don't want to overwhelm myself doing it.
Tony: You're right! So, how many chapters have you written for "Falling In Love With An Deranged Werewolf?"
Loki: I have only written two chapters.
Tony: Let me read it tonight and in the morning I will let you know what I thought.
Loki: Are you sure because you can read the chapters tomorrow?
Tony: Yes!
Loki: Okay! I'll give you the chapters after dinner to read.
Tony: Good! So, did your editor tell you what needs to be done for the other books?
Loki: No! I'm kind of glad that she didn't because I don't want it be something I don't like.
Tony: Well, when you get to the last chapter you have to end with something unexpected so it will be something that the young audience will want to read?
Loki: Well, maybe it could be someone new comes into Ella's life and in the second book she slowly develops feelings for him, while she's still in a relationship with her boyfriend.
Tony: That's great Loki! Just work on list of ideas for the second book and the title of the book.
Loki: I like that advice Tony! Now, this may not be a good book title for the second book but right now I'm thinking "Falling In Love With A Handsome Stranger".
Tony: I don't think that's a bad idea.
Loki: Well, I will write it down as a suggestion for the second book title.
Tony: That sounds great!
Loki: Okay! So, tell me the reason why you and Pepper have taken a break?
Tony: Well, the truth is I let myself have feelings for someone else.
Loki was just surprised by that.
Tony: I don't know what to do.
Loki: Do you want to tell the person how you feel?
Tony: I've thought about it.
Loki: Then what's stopping you?
Tony: The person I'm having feelings for is with someone else.
Loki: So, you don't want to ruin their happiness?
Tony: I don't think I should.
Loki: Is the person you want serious with the one they're dating?
Tony: No!
Loki: So, tell them how you feel!
Tony: I can't! This person is very attractive and...
Loki: Are you going to tell me who?
Tony: Yeah, because I don't like keeping it to myself.
Loki: Well...
Tony: It's Steve Rodgers okay!
Loki wasn't surprised because when Tony talked about him he kind of had a sense that maybe there was something more.
Tony: You don't look shocked!
Loki: Because you talk about him to me all the time.
Tony: You picked up on that I liked him more than a friend? (he says in a surprised tone)
Loki: Yes!
Tony: I've thought about telling Steve how I feel about him many times but then something unexpected happens.
Loki: Are you taking that has a sign that it means you two shouldn't be together?
Tony: Yeah!
Loki: Tony, if you really want to be with Steve then you do something about it before he become serious with someone.
Tony: Or maybe I could do something to make him interested in me.
Loki: As in...
Tony: Pretend to be dating me!
When Loki heard that he was just in complete utter shock.
Tony: You're thinking it's crazy right?
Loki: Because it is. I mean if I were to consider it we would have to convince others that we're dating!
Tony: I know it would be hard to do, but Loki you're good at doing that.
Loki: Did you consider asking Bruce to be your fake boyfriend?
Tony: No because he's dating Clint.
Loki: It's about time!
Tony: I know!
Loki: Did you have something to do with getting them to admit they liked each other more than friends?
Tony: No!
Loki: So, was it Bruce or Clint who made the first move?
Tony: It was Bruce. He was just tired of seeing women flirting with the guy he wanted.
Loki: If I do agree to do this how long do we have to be pretend to be together?
Tony: Until the point that it really gets to Steve..
Loki: Well, I will think about it.
Tony: Okay! So, what should we order?
Loki: Anything!
Tony: Okay!
A couple of hours later
Midnight
It is Wednesday October 2, 2012
Loki can't sleep because not only is he thinking about changing his book ending in his first book before he starts his second, he's also thinking about if he will agree to be Tony's fake boyfriend.
Hours later
It is about 9:00 a.m.
Loki is working on how to change the ending in his first book when his cell rings.
He decides to pick it up on the third ring.
Loki: Hello!
Diane: Hey Loki! I was told by Ms. Swan to tell you that she wants you to finish "Falling In Love With An Deranged Werewolf" on December 31.
Loki was shocked but decided to remain calm about it.
Diane: If it doesn't work for you...
Loki: I can have it finished by then.
Diane: Okay! Also, you'll need to come in tomorrow around 10 a.m.
Loki: I'll be there!
Diane: Good! Bye!
Seconds later the call is over.
Loki: Bye!
Meanwhile Tony is leaving notes to Loki about his two chapters for "Falling In Love With An Deranged Werewolf", when his cell phone rings a second later. He decides to answer it on the second ring.
Tony: Hello!
Bruce: Hey!
Tony: Hey! I called to let you know that I want to throw a get together party on Saturday. Do you think you and Clint will be able to come?
Bruce: I don't know if Clint will be able to. I remember he mentioned that he has to go away this weekend for work.
Tony: Okay! So, will you be able to come?
Bruce: I think so!
Tony: Good! I will send you an email to let you know what time to come at.
Bruce: Okay!
Tony: I'll talk to you tomorrow!
Bruce: Okay!
Tony: Bye!
Bruce: Bye!
Seconds later the call is over.
When he sees Loki it's about 5:30 p.m.
Loki: How was your day?
Tony: Good!
Loki: I looked at the notes you left and that really helped me write the next three chapters for the book.
Tony: That's good! Loki, I want to have a get together party this weekend. Would you be okay with that?
Loki: That would be fine.
Tony: Good! I'm just going to invite my close friends to come.
Loki: That's great Tony!
Tony: Loki, I don't expect you to attend especially if your focus is on your book right now.
Loki: Well, maybe I should attend because maybe I could use your friends as inspiration for my second book.
Tony thought maybe that wouldn't be a bad idea.
Loki: If you think I shouldn't...
Tony: No! I think it would be a great idea but you do realize that if you use them as characters for your second book, then you'll need to ask permission from them.
Loki: Do you think they would give me permission?
Tony: I don't think they would mind.
Loki: Okay! I think I'm going to go take a nice long hot bath!
Tony: Enjoy!
Loki: Then I have to get back to writing more chapters for "Falling In Love With An Deranged Werewolf". Ms. Swan changed the deadline to December 31.
Tony: Okay! I'll leave a tray of food in your room.
Loki: That's fine!
Seconds later he heads back to the floor of where his room is on.
About an hour and half later
It is about 7:02 p.m.
Loki is wearing a white bathrobe when he goes back to working on other chapters for the book.
Meanwhile Tony is on the phone with Pepper.
Pepper: Are you okay?
Tony: Yes! Are you...
Pepper: I'm doing good Tony!
Tony: I have to be honest with you about...
Pepper: I know you have feelings for Steve!
Tony was shocked because he didn't think that Pepper knew that.
Pepper: You're wondering how I figured it out?
Tony: Yes!
Pepper: By seeing how you look at him.
Tony: Why didn't you say anything?
Pepper: I guess I was trying to convince myself that it wasn't true.
Tony: I haven't told Steve how I felt and there's the chance I'll never tell him.
Pepper: You have to find out if he returns your feelings or not.
Tony: Pepper I've tried to but...
Pepper: Tony, if we're going to get back together then it should be because you love me more than Steve.
Tony: I guess I owe you that much!
Pepper: So, I'm going to go but I'll talk to you soon!
Tony: Okay! Bye!
Seconds later the call is over.
A few days later
It is Saturday October 5, 2012
The time is 10:30 a.m.
Tony is in the kitchen in his black workout clothes when Loki comes in wearing blue flannel pajamas seconds later.
Loki: So, you want to do something today?
Tony: I have to cook for tonight's dinner.
Loki: What if I did that instead?
Tony: Are you sure?
Loki: Yes, besides I'm a better cook than you are!
Tony: You're right! How is your ending come along?
Loki: I finished it. It took me hours to decide what to do.
Tony: So, are you okay with it?
Loki: Yeah! So, do you want me to stick to the dinner menu you wanted to do?
Tony: No! Cook anything! I have a lot of stuff to use.
Loki: Good! Now, you're are going to go take a shower and after you get dressed you go out to do something.
Tony: Are you sure you don't want me to stay to help?
Loki: Yes! Besides, I have to take time to decide what to make.
Tony: Okay! I guess I will see you later then!
Loki: Yeah! Bye!
Then Tony heads to take a shower while Loki is trying to decide what to make for Tony's friends tonight.
A little time passes
It's about 1:00 p.m.
Tony is about to head into Central Park when he sees his friend Bruce Banner coming his way.
Bruce: Hey!
Tony: Hey!
Bruce: What are you doing here?
Tony: Loki will be cooking for the dinner tonight.
Bruce: Was that your idea?
Tony: No!
Bruce: I have to say your friend Loki is very thoughtful to do it.
Tony: Yeah! Are you meeting Clint?
Bruce: No! We sort of had an argument about something!
Tony: About what?
Bruce: He had a problem seeing someone flirt with me.
Tony: I could tell by the look on your face that he did something that you didn't like.
Bruce: Clint said "What the hell Bruce? I leave you alone five minutes and come back to see you with flirting with someone else.
Tony: You were pissed?
Bruce: Yes, because I didn't expect that from him. Also, he tells me that he really didn't want to come and I said you should have been honest with me and he said he didn't because he didn't want to upset me. Then I said to Clint I can't believe you would think. He wanted to say something but I said I will call you when I'm ready to talk.
Tony: You regretted saying it?
Bruce: Yeah, and I just can't stop thinking about it.
Tony: Bruce, I think the reason Clint was bothered by you flirting with someone else was because he was jealous.
Bruce: Then why couldn't he have just said that?
Tony: Because he doesn't want to come off as a insecure guy.
Bruce: Maybe I should call him!
Tony: You should! Maybe right now you should think about what you want to say so you don't say something that doesn't sound right.
Bruce: Yeah!
Tony: So, for the time being hang out with me.
Bruce: Just for an hour! I need to do a few errands before I head back home to get ready for the dinner party.
Tony: Okay!
Meanwhile at Tony's apartment
Loki has decided what he will make for dinner.
It will be stuffed burgers with homemade mac and cheese and a vegetable casserole.
Seconds later he goes to check to see if Tony has the stuff he needs.
Meanwhile Clint is at his apartment feeling kind of shitty about what happened between him and Bruce last night.
(Flashback)
They were at a party that Bruce's friend Evan was having. It was a small party with catered food.
After being there for an hour Clint sees Bruce acting flirty with a very attractive redhead. He tried to remain calm until he saw the lady give Bruce a piece of paper. That is what really pissed him to go confront them.
Clint: "What the hell Bruce? I leave you alone for five minutes and come back to see you flirting with someone else.
Bruce remains calm before he says quietly to Clint let's take this outside.
A few minutes later
Bruce and Clint are having a private conversation on the balcony.
Clint: I should have stayed!
Bruce: I wasn't doing anything wrong.
Clint: I saw you flirting with her. Are you really going to say that didn't happen?
Bruce: No, but we always have flirted with each other.
Clint: What? (He says in an angry tone)
Bruce: There's nothing wrong with doing it.
Clint: I can't believe you're saying that to me.
Bruce: I don't complain when ladies flirt with you.
Clint: The only difference is I don't flirt back.
Bruce: You know if you're going to be mad here for the rest of the night then I think you should leave.
Clint: Fine! I didn't want to come here anyway!
Bruce: If you felt that way then you could have been honest with me about that!
Clint: If I had said no you would have been upset with me!
Bruce: I can't believe you would think that!
Clint: Bruce...
Bruce: Just go! When I'm ready to talk to you I will call!
Seconds later Clint leaves and Bruce thought why did I even say that? I should go after him but maybe time away from each other for a week would be best.
(End of Flashback)
Clint: I hate acting like the jealous guy all the time. Why didn't I just tell Bruce I don't like him flirting with anyone but me.
Meanwhile at Central Park
Tony: Bruce, you look miserable.
Bruce: I want to call him but...
Tony: Call him!
Bruce: I still I'm not sure of what I want to say.
Tony: All you need to be is honest about how you feel.
Bruce: Yeah! I hope he wants to talk to me.
Tony: If he doesn't answer just leave him a voicemail.
Bruce: Okay!
Tony: I'm going to give you privacy to make the call!
Bruce: Thanks man!
Seconds later he goes to call Clint and after four rings he leaves the voicemail.
About ten minutes later
Clint is listening to Bruce's voicemail message.
Bruce: I didn't realize that you were jealous when I was flirting with my friend last night. To be honest the conservation had to do with you. If it does really bother you to see me flirting with anyone I won't do it. I hope you still will be able to come to the get together because I've been miserable not seeing you.
After Clint finishes listening to it he thinks to himself I'm such an idiot. I have to get something to show Bruce I'm sorry about the argument we got into last night.
Sometime passes
It is about 3:40 p.m.
Tony is back to find Loki sulking in the kitchen.
Loki: I'm not sure I like the ending that I changed my book to!
Tony: It's not a big deal.
Loki: Maybe not for you but...
Tony: How about I make you a drink?
Loki: It's too early for that!
Tony: Well, then I'll make you an non alcoholic Daiquiri.
Loki: Okay!
Tony: Good! What flavor do you want?
Loki: Strawberry!
Tony: Cool!
Loki: What did you do while you were out?
Tony: I went to Central Park where I ran into Bruce.
Loki: That's good!
Tony: He and Clint had an argument but I think they will make up tonight.
Loki: What makes you so sure of that?
Tony: Because I told Bruce to call him.
Loki: Well, that had to be unexpected for you to decide.
Tony: I guess I was thinking I didn't want to see my friend be miserable.
Loki: You're a great friend Tony!
Tony: So, have you thought about what I asked?
Loki: I don't think it's a good idea besides you're taking a break from Pepper.
Tony: You're right!
Loki: So, before you tell Steve how you feel about him take time to decide what you're going to say to him.
Tony: Loki, I'm good talking about business with people. Telling someone how I feel is harder to do because I know the words will come out wrong.
Loki: It doesn't need to be perfect Tony. I will help you if you need it.
Tony: Okay!
Loki: So, are you going to tell me how Pepper is doing?
Tony: She's doing okay and she knew I had feelings for Steve!
Loki: That's good!
Tony: I didn't intend to have feelings for Steve.
Loki: Tony, it happens. I finally ended things with Kyle!
Tony: It's about time! I can't believe you would be in a relationship with a guy that treats you so bad!
Loki: I guess I thought that he would change!
Tony: Some do if they care enough to! You need to find a better guy who will treat you better!
Loki: I have to stop being with guys who are no good for me.
Tony: What if you start dating guys who are the good ones?
Loki: I could but there are the bad boy types that really are the good guys underneath!
Tony: Yes! Have you ever considered speed dating?
Loki: What? (He says in a shocking tone)
Tony: It's an event where you sit at a table and meet with different guys for a certain amount of time.
Loki: I could consider that!
Tony: Good!
Loki: So, what do you think I should make for dessert?
Tony: Cake and brownies!
Loki: Okay! Should I make devil's food cake or strawberry cake? As for the brownies should I make the fudgy ones or the milk chocolate ones?
Tony: The devil's food cake and the fudgy brownies!
Loki: Good choice!
Tony: There's also ice cream in the freezer and whatever other frozen desserts are in there?
Loki: Okay!
Tony: I'm going to be in the lab working!
Loki: No! What you're going to do is take a relaxing bath before everyone else shows up.
Tony: I'm really not into taking baths!
Loki: You should try getting used to it.
Tony: Okay!
Loki: I'll answer the phone if you want me to.
Tony: You don't have to! Just let the answering machine get it.
Loki: Okay!
Then Tony heads to his floor to take a bath.
About fifteen minutes later
Loki is on the phone with Chloe.
Chloe: So, how does it feel to be back in New York?
Loki: It feels great.
Chloe: That's good! So, you have any news to share?
Loki: My publisher wants me to do a book series!
Chloe screams in excitement when she hears that and Loki is rolling his eyes.
Loki: I'm still in shock about it.
Chloe: Well, I think it's really great.
Loki: Yes, but what if the books don't sell?
Chloe: They will sell because you're a great writer Loki. Also, maybe if people really like your book series maybe there will be a movie.
Loki: Like that would really happen so quick.
Chloe: It just might. Or maybe it could be a TV series.
Loki: I don't know if I'm really ready to be successful just yet.
Chloe: Did you think maybe it would take time before you would have a book that would go really great on the New York Best Seller's List?
Loki: Yes! I really don't want become someone who just spends most of their time writing to sell a book.
Chloe: You won't be because you write really quick Loki.
Loki: I know! It's just I guess I just wanted things to be normal for awhile.
Chloe: Loki, the best thing about being a writer is deciding for yourself how many hours you want to spent working. I mean there are probably a lot of writers who spent a lot of time working on there books because they see themselves as perfectionists.
Loki: Maybe I shouldn't worry about it.
Chloe: Good! So, what are you doing in New York tonight?
Loki: Tony is having a dinner party. I'm going to meet his new friends.
Chloe: That is wonderful.
Loki: I'm going to use them as inspiration for my second book, but I will have to ask them if I could use them as characters in "Falling In Love With An Deranged Werewolf."
Chloe: Tony was the one who came up with the idea for you to use them in your book.
Loki: Yes! I hope they like will like me and that they will give me permission to use them as characters in my second book.
Chloe: Of course they will! I mean who wouldn't like you?
Loki: I mean because I'm like a guy whose really smart that likes to read books and writing.
Chloe: You're also forgetting that you also have a wild side about yourself.
Loki: That only happens when I drink too much.
Chloe: Okay! I'm going to call you in a few days.
Loki: Okay! Bye!
Chloe: Bye!
Seconds later the call has ended.
Meanwhile Bruce is about to head home when his phone rings. He answers it right away.
Bruce: Hello!
Maddie: Hey!
Bruce: Hey! You okay?
Maddie: Yeah! I was wondering if you could come over right now?
Bruce: I...
Maddie: You have somewhere else to be?
Bruce: Not until a little bit later.
Maddie: It will only be an hour. I just your help with something really important.
Bruce: Okay!
Maddie: Thanks Bruce!
Seconds later he heads to Maddie's apartment which is only a couple blocks away from his apartment.
When he finally arrives outside at her apartment building she is outside waiting for him.
Maddie: I messed up big time Bruce.
Bruce: What happened?
Maddie: Andy broke up with me!
Bruce was in a shocked expression because he thought it was something really major liked she really needed help with putting together something.
Maddie: I know I usually don't call you to deal with my relationship issues but I couldn't get in touch with Sally.
Bruce: So, how do you expect me to help you get Andy back?
Maddie: By talking to him. He really listens to you.
Bruce: First I want to know when he broke up with you.
Maddie: I sort of slept with someone else.
Bruce couldn't believe that because he thought Maddie really loved Andy and wouldn't do something that to hurt him. He had to think for a moment what he was going to say.
Maddie: It was a stupid mistake.
Bruce: With who?
Maddie: His best friend.
Bruce: Oh man! (he says in a shocked tone)
Maddie: I told him he didn't mean anything but he didn't believe me and that is when he said it's over between us.
Bruce: Are you sure you don't have feelings for Harrison?
Maddie: I might!
Bruce: Then you need to figure out who you want to be with.
Maddie: Bruce, I...
Bruce: I think for now you need time to decide what you really want because if you make a rushed decision on making it, you may regret it later on.
Maddie: I didn't intend on hurting Andy the way I did.
Bruce: I know but right now he feels betrayed by what you did. He also feels betrayed by his best friend too. Just give him to be on his own before you talk to him.
Maddie: What if he never wants to do that?
Bruce: Then you have to accept that it's over between the both of you.
Maddie: I don't know if I will when I come to realize that it's him that I want to be with.
Bruce: You'll have to because if you love him enough you'll find the strength to let him go.
Maddie: Okay! You can head home now!
Bruce: You sure?
Maddie: Yes! Besides, I want to start thinking about what I want right away and be sure it's the right decision.
Bruce: Okay!
Maddie: Bye!
Bruce: Bye!
Seconds later she heads back into her apartment building and then Bruce starts walking back to his.
Sometime later
It is about 5:15 p.m.
Loki is about to start making another dessert when his cell phone rings seconds later. He decides to answer it on the second ring.
Loki: Hello!
Diane: Hi Loki!
Loki: Hi Diane!
Diane: Ms. Swan needs to meet with you!
Loki: When?
Diane: Tonight!
Loki: I...
Diane: Can you be at Grand Central Train Station in ten minutes?
Loki: Yes!
Diane: Good! I will let her know that you're on your way!
Loki: Okay! Bye!
Diane: Bye!
Seconds later the call is over.
A moment later Tony appears wearing a casual gray shirt and black pants.
Loki: I have to meet my publisher tonight!
Tony: You don't look excited about going!
Loki: Well, I just hope I don't have to stay there too long.
Tony: Where do you have to meet her at?
Loki: Grand Central!
Tony: Do you want me to call a cab for you?
Loki: No! I would rather walk!
Tony: Okay! Is there anything you were doing before you got the call you had to meet with her?
Loki: I was going to make another cake!
Tony: I'll take care of it.
Loki: Thanks Tony!
Tony: Don't worry about getting back right away! Dinner always seem to start late.
Loki: Okay!
Seconds later Loki grabs his coat before he heads out.
About fifteen minutes later
Loki is having a conservation with Ms. Swan.
Crystal: Loki, I had a friend of mine read the first two chapters of your book.
Loki: That's wonderful! What did she think of it?
Crystal: She loves it.
Loki: That's great!
Crystal: She's thinking maybe it could be a movie or TV show.
When Loki heard that news he was completely speechless by that point. He was trying to process that his book was not going to be a book series but also could be possibly used to be a movie or TV show.
Crystal: You don't seem excited about it?
Loki: It's just I didn't expect to hear it.
Crystal: So, what she's going to do is talk to a friend of hers and see if he's interested in the idea.
Loki: When?
Crystal: Next week!
Loki was really speechless at the point and just didn't know what to say.
Crystal: Are you okay?
Loki: It's just hearing this news was unexpected and I'm not sure I can process it all right now.
Crystal: Okay! I'll cut this meeting short. How about I call you on Monday to discuss anything else that you need to discuss about it.
Loki: That would be fine!
Crystal: Okay! Bye!
Seconds later she leaves and then Loki stays a few minutes longer because he heads back to the apartment building.
A little time passes
Loki is back at Tony's apartment.
Tony: How did the meeting go?
Loki: There's a possibility that my book may become a TV series!
Tony was shocked about the news!
Loki: I think this is too much and...
Tony: Don't think about it right now! Just focus on the party tonight and having fun!
Loki: Okay! If I feel I want to leave the party earlier...
Tony: Don't worry! Now, I'm going to fix you a real drink!
Loki: Make it strong enough to help my nerves relaxed!
Tony: I'll make you an Martini instead!
Loki: No! Just make me a Wine Spritzer.
Tony: Okay! Is a fruity one okay?
Loki: Yes!
Tony: Okay!
A few minutes later Tony hands Loki a Peach Spritzer.
Loki: Are you going to have a drink with me?
Tony: No! I'll just have a soda!
Loki: That's cool!
Tony: Yeah!
Loki: Is there anything else that needs to be done before your friends arrive?
Tony: No, except I might need to go to the lab to clean up a little bit.
Loki: Okay!
Tony: I shouldn't be that long!
Loki: You just don't want to be still in the lab when everyone else arrives.
Tony: No!
Loki: I could let your friends in if that's okay!
Tony: Okay!
Then seconds later he heads down to the lab to straighten up and Loki continues to stay in the kitchen.
A little time passes
It's about 7:15 p.m.
Loki now dressed in a gray shirt and blue jeans is at the party with Tony, Natasha, and Bruce.
Bruce: Loki, I can't believe how delicious the food you made is.
Loki: Well, if it wasn't for how many cooking lessons I took it wouldn't have tasted that good.
Bruce: So, Tony told us you're a writer now?
Loki: Yeah! I didn't like the job I really had in Los Angeles so I decided to do something different.
Bruce: That's good!
Natasha: So, Loki what is your first book going to be about?
Loki: It's about a woman having a romance with a guy who is a deranged werewolf.
Natasha: How did the idea come to be?
Loki: I based it on my friend's relationship with a guy who was nuts. Also, she likes werewolves.
Natasha: I think it's a cool idea.
Loki: Yeah! I hope what I write is good enough for young readers to buy it.
Natasha: I could help you with that!
Loki: How?
Natasha: Tony didn't mention what I do?
Loki: No!
Natasha: I work for an illustrating company where I design the covers for books.
Loki: So, you could help come up with a cover idea for my book.
Natasha: Yes, but only if you want me to help you.
Loki: Yeah!
Natasha: We could discuss it now if you want?
Loki: No! I think that can wait because I really want to enjoy myself tonight.
Natasha: That's fine! I'll just give you my business card!
Seconds later she takes out of her wallet and a moment later she takes out one of her business cards which she hands to Loki.
Loki: Thanks!
Natasha: So, let's go get a drink and you can tell me how you and Tony became friends.
Loki: Cool!
So as they're going to get drinks Loki is telling her the story of how he and Loki became friends.
By the time it's 8:30 p.m.
Everyone else has arrived
As the time passes Loki gets to discover what is so great about the rest of Tony's friends, and is wondering how he can use them in his book.
Tony: Loki, you okay?
Loki: Yes! Just thinking of how I could use them as inspiration in my second book.
Tony: When all of them head home I'll let you know how.
Loki: That would be great!
Around 11:30 p.m.
Everyone else has left.
Tony: So, what do you really think of them Loki?
Loki: They're great!
Tony: I saw you really staring at Thor a lot.
Loki: Well, I just couldn't believe how he looks.
Tony: Would you be interested in dating him?
Loki: I don't know! There's never been attractive guys like him that would date me.
Tony: It could be because of what you're wearing!
Loki: Hey! (He says in a shocked tone) I like how I dress!
Tony: That's good but there's nothing wrong with improving your look just a little bit.
Loki: I don't mind but what's really important to me is I want to be with a guy that likes me for me despite everything else.
Tony: You're right!
Loki: Tony, do you think we could discuss how I could use your friends for my second book in the morning? I didn't think I would be so tired!
Tony: Yeah!
Loki: I did have a great time.
Tony: Good! Goodnight!
Loki: Goodnight!
Seconds later Loki heads to his bedroom while Tony goes to clean up a bit.
Many hours later
It is Sunday, October 6, 2012
The time is 10:30 a.m.
Loki is asleep when he finds something left for him in the room.
The thing says
Hey,
I hope you find this information about my friends useful. Also, I wanted to let you know that I had to go out to run some errands.
Tony
A second later Loki goes to look at the information that Tony has left for him to look at.
Meanwhile Bruce is about to head out when his cell phone rings.
He answers on the third ring.
Bruce: Hello!
Clint: Hey!
Bruce: Hey! Are you okay?
Clint: I'm good! I wanted to let you know that I may not be home for a couple of weeks because of the work assignment.
Bruce: Thanks for letting me know!
Clint: So, I was thinking we could plan to see each other when I get back.
Bruce: That would be great!
Clint: Okay! I'll call you on Monday!
Bruce: I can't wait! Bye!
Clint: Bye!
Seconds later the call ends
Time continues to pass
It's about 1:30 p.m.
Tony is back to find Loki reading a book.
Loki: Hey!
Tony: So, did you find the information I left you about my friends useful?
Loki: Yes, but I decided not to do any work right now. I need to take a break just for a bit.
Tony: That's the smart thing to do.
Loki: So, what should we do later?
Tony: I'm supposed to go to an benefit for animal adoption later. Do you want to come?
Loki: I don't know but I will think about it.
Tony: Okay!
A few hours later
Loki has decided he's going to skip going to the animal benefit.
Time goes by
Tony is leaving is go to the animal benefit.
Loki: I'll see you later!
Tony: Yeah! I shouldn't be gone that long!
Loki: I'll be okay by myself!
Tony: Okay! Bye!
Seconds later he heads to go to the benefit.
Loki thought of going back to writing chapter ten but decided to watch TV instead.
