One step at a time

Ever since he was a baby, Steven never got to know who his real family was. Now at the age of 16, he starts a new life in a town called beach city with is adopted brother, and father. Join him as he goes through the school year, as well as piecing together his origin. This is my first try at an AU with this particular show, it is an human AU.

1. Chapter 1

"Life's too short to live just one simple dream, live those dreams to their fullest as though they'll be your last!"

Steven's P.O.V

"Gaah'' I shouted, as though I was just shocked by an unseen force. I sat there in bed slowly taking in my surroundings, rubbing my face with both hands, I got out of bed, and went to my bathroom to get my day started. As I finished up my daily routine, I looked at myself in the mirror. I wasn't much, but I had my perks, I'm sixteen years old, I never knew my real family, I was told that i was found in an alley with nothing but a blanket, thankfully I was found by a man, who I call dad, while on his way back home to his only son. At first you wouldn't think anything of it, but he was once a second in command of an old group that went by the name of Marauders, ironically enough they did things completely opposite to their name. That is until both the birth of his only son, as well as the death of his wife. But that was all in the past, though the last that was heard of the group was that they finally came to a truce with the rival group, and started helping the community together. At any rate, his son that helped to both raise, and play with me was only two years older than me, his name is Lu, for his stature, he's a really nice guy, he stood about 6'01 compared to my 5'08, he looked quite intimidating at first, but once you get to know him, he's a really calm and collective guy, a little over protective, but great nonetheless. As I was about to approach my door, it opened to reveal my dad. "You need to hurry son, or you'll be late for your first day to Beach City High. Your brother's waiting for you outside to get y'all to school." He said before leaving.

Third person P.O.V

Once Steven got everything he needed for school, he then headed outside to the car his brother has. Today was his first day of sophomore year in a new place, the same for his brother, except it's his first day as a senior. The duo were thankful that it was the first day of the year rather than it being a month later. As they headed to their destination, Lu looked at Steven smiling slightly before his eyes returned to the road ahead, after all, today's their first chance to actually make new friends.

So this is my first attempt at something like an AU, in this one they are all humans as well as some of them being in high school, Steven was 'abandoned' as a baby, his mother is also alive in this as well. This isn't perfect, but practice makes perfect. Also if you liked the idea and have some you want to pitch in, by all means go for it, I'm always open to ideas.
