Wildfire is a story about a character that I've sort of claimed as my own since the shutdown of Maple Story 2. The character is based on my player character, of which I chose the Heavy Gunner class. Her name is Blazz Tradius.
I quickly fell in love with the Heavy Gunner's snarky attitude, ego, and love for science and technology. Their entire persona felt energetic and refreshing from the others (save maybe the wizard's lax and carefree, yet incredibly powerful nature). As the game progressed, I came up with more and more about her, to the point where I saw her as a character of my own design despite the fact that I was merely building off of a character that already existed. The way I saw it, however, I was taking a base of what was given to me and expanding it, building it into a fully different character than what the game had set out for me. So, when the game shut down, I simply couldn't let them go.
This character means a lot to me. She is a character that I've spent much of my time daydreaming about, wishing I could put more on paper about, and wanting to share with the world because of how much I adore her. Her strengths, her flaws, her achievements and failures, her experiences, psychology, and complete and utter insanity are all things that I positively relish in exploring and developing, and even though I'm aware she's by no means a legendary protagonist of some masterpiece of literature, Blazz is my personal magnum opus; I've put more thought, love, and care into crafting her than I have anything else, and I truly wish that I could do more with her, and share more about her.
Unfortunately, this is the best I'm going to get for now. So I'm going to settle for it. I hope you enjoy this marginally short recap of her past and experiences, key points of interest within her years up until the prime years of the shadow war that she would soon become tied up in- and become a terrifying figure within, for both sides of the conflict.
Keep in mind that I'm still trying to get used to this more "professional" standard of writing, and this is my first writing that is this long and this polished. If you have any criticisms at all about it, be it as menial as grammar or as significant as entire aspects of the story, then I'm more than eager to hear it. I'll be doing my best to polish this story more with each review, so that I can try and carry these improvements over to any future stories I write. So, please feel free to air your thoughts and concerns.
