"It doesn't attack the cells, Erik, it enhances them!"

Her body's on fire. Or at least she thinks it is.
Someone's speaking to her, begging her to keep her eyes open. As if she was going to close them, she was too busy searching for the missiles. Wondering if she had stopped Erik setting them off or if he was still in his rampage.

She's in agony. Her head feels as if it's being smashed over and over again by a rock. The sudden daggers in her chest makes her lungs burn, her breaths now coming out in short, labored rasps. Another jolt surges through her and her body spasms in response. A pair of arms hold her down as she jerks about, digging their nails deep into her arms as it passes.

Just as she thinks it's finished, just as the pain stops, just as the voices in her head are silenced, something snaps. Her hands instantly yank at her own hair. Hot rage bubbles in her throat as screams tear their way out. If she felt like it, she could make every single person on this beach go insane with her. If she's going down, might as well drag them to hell alongside her.

'It enhances the cells' She senses it already.

Someone shouts as a gun is loaded and fired. She can feel the bullet piercing his skin.

She continues to scream.
