We hope you have it straight.
Madeline: I'm Madeline, I'm Madeline,
And inside, I'm great!
Madeline The Singing Dog & Sister
In an old house in Paris
That was covered in vines,
Riley said "Très bien Genevieve Marie! Allors!"
Lived thirteen little girls
In two straight lines.
They left the house at half passed nine.
In rain or shine.
The oldest one was Riley, and the smallest one was Madeline.
Narrator: One day Miss Clavel cried with delight when she found a letter in gold and white, inviting them all to the opera that night.
Miss Clavel said "Little girls, this is from Lord Cucuface. He thinks you will learn a lot at the Opera, but most of all you well have fun!"
All the girls shouted "Hooray! Hooray! We are going to an Opera!"
Madeline said "Miss Clavel what is the Opera?"
Miss Clavel said "Madeline, the Opera tells a story with beautiful music, and singing and everybody dresses up."
Chloe said "I will wear my party dress."
Danielle said "And I will wear my new shoes."
Nicole said "And I will wear a ribbon in my hair."
Narrator: And so that night, they all got dressed; Each of them eager to look her best.
Before long it was time to leave for all the girls.
Madeline said "Aw do not worry, I haven't forgotten you" as she placed a green ribbon on Genevieve Marie's head with binoculars hanging down.
Narrator: And Genevieve Marie was outside.
Miss Clavel said "But what is this? A dog cannot go to a Opera, not even Genevieve Marie?"
All the girls said "S'il te plaît Miss Clavel! Please she will be so lonely without us!"
Riley said "Besides Geneveive Marie loves beautiful singing, she is a singer herself."
Madeline giggled "Riley you are a singer too!"
Genevieve Marie
La la la la la la la LA!
Presto a bottega che l'alba è gia.
Presto! La la la la la la la LA!
Riley
Make way for the factotum one of the city.
Make way! La la la la la la la LA!
Fast, to the shop, dawn is already here.
Fast! La la la la la la la LA!
Miss Clavel said "Very well, come along then Genevieve Marie."
Narrator: They took a lovely taxi ride, and all got out and walked inside.
The man said "I'm sorry, but the dog will have to remain outside."
Madeline said "But this dog has perfect behavior."
All eleven girls said "That's true, she is perfect, she will not misbehave!"
The man said "We cannot have any barking during the Opera"
Miss Clavel said "Do not worry I can assure that Genevieve Marie will not bark."
The man said "And she had better not whine!"
Miss Clavel said "Monsieur if you let Genevieve Marie in, I personally guarantee that she will not make a peep."
The man said "Very well, but if there the tiniest littlest dog noise she will be thrown out in an instant!"
Miss Clavel said "Merci Monsieur."
Narrator: Miss Clavel then call them to attention, there were something she had to mention, she said "Be quit as a mouse"
Miss Clavel said "Shh, whisper. Only singers should be heard in an Opera house."
All girls said "We will be very quit Miss Clavel, we promise."

Riley said "Yes but-"
Miss Clavel said "No but, Riley I will see you in the morning, good night."
Riley said "I don't see why Miss Clavel got so upset, it was just one song!" as she headed for the door and opened It "It's alright Genevieve Marie, I am here now."
Narrator: But before long, an impresario arrived who had heard Riley and Genevieve singing "Figaro"
Impresario said "I will help you both, come let's go."
Genevieve Marie shook her head 'no', and laid on Riley's lap.
Riley said "Sorry we don't go with strangers."
Impresario said "The little girls and your teacher don't want you both anymore, look how they made you both sleep outside!"
Riley said "No no you are mistaken sir!"
Impresario said "Come my two new stars, I have a bed for you both."
Riley said "Well a little walk won't hurt, come on Genevieve Marie"

All the girls said "We are sorry we made you sleep outside Genevieve!"
Miss Clavel said "Riley and Genevieve wouldn't just wonder off, oh dear Kathy isn't picking up her cell phone"
Narrator: With the help of their friends Steven and Pepito, they started searching high and low.
Madeline said "Genevieve Marie! Riley! Where are you two?"

Madeline said "But of course they will I love my sister, and my sister loves me, and Genevieve Marie loves us both, really!"
Impresario said "Despite what you say, she and Genevieve Marie will not go."
Narrator: Madeline did not believe what the Impresario said about Riley and Genevieve Marie, as she found a payphone, and called Aunt Kathy's cell phone.
Aunt Kathy said "Madeline, I need to keep my cell phone open in case there are any leads about Riley"
Madeline said "Aunt Kathy Please I am not at a nightclub, I am with Miss Clavel and my friends because Riley and Genevieve are about to be on stage!"
Kathy said "I am on my way Madeline, don't leave the club, bye!"
Narrator: So they all went backstage, and before they walked far, they came to a door with a shining star.

Riley and Genevieve Marie smiled.
Pepito said "Now we know why."
All the girls, and Pepito said "Goodbye Genevieve Marie, and Riley! We will never forget you two!"

Miss Clavel said "Come little girls, it is late and we must go home!"
In the dressing room.
All the women, and men.
Riley, and Genevieve Marie quickly looked over their shoulders, and smiled.

Chloe said "No me!"
Narrator: But Madeline being clever and versatile had a plan.
Madeline said "Pepito, throw it here!"

All the girls said "Moi aussi, we love Riley and Genevieve, we will always love you"
Riley looked back at the window.

Madeline shouted "Riley! You are back!"
Riley said "I missed you Maddie! Come let's go home, it was fun and everything but they drink too much; That man was no fun at all, huh what is Aunt Kathy doing here?"
Kathy said "Riley, what on Earth were you thinking of running away? Only to get a call from Maddie that you were at a night club!"
Riley said "I know Aunt Kathy, and it won't happen again"
Kathy said "It better not happen again Riley!"
Narrator: As they were heading for home, Madeline cried "Oh"
"Miss Clavel!" said Madeline.
Narrator: There was one thing she needed before they go.
Madeline saw the Star "Ah!"
Back at home.
Madeline hammered the Star on the bedroom door.
Madeline said "You will always be our stars, Riley and Genevieve Marie"
The girls said "Bravo!"
Miss Clavel said "Good night little girls, and little Genevieve Marie"
Genevieve barks.
