In case anyone's wondering, this may not be my last Akame ga kill story...but it's one I wanted to do for a while as well as one I enjoy doing, I usually like writing long journeys with one main villain the protagonist has to overcome but also overcome themselves, whether it's revenge, self-loathing, or simply coming to terms with who they are, This story should be the last journey for a long while as I don't want to burn myself out, however if I have a cool idea that can be done in under 10 or less chapters i'll try it, Akame ga kill isn't the only series I want to write about, so if you guys are interested in what else I have planned don't be afraid to check them out, anyways enjoy this next chapter = )
After his training Daikon returns back inside the inn, putting his sword down as he sits on a couch, the thought of what's happening next still interested him, "Their leader must be super deadly, gotta train more to be better prepared" he thought, Akame then notices him "Hey".
Daikon looks with a friendly wave "Yo" while his tail moved, "I just wanted to thank you again, for saving my life...and being there for my sister" she says before smiling with a thankful look, he nods his head "Of coarse, I'd do everything in my power to protect her".
She is glad someone was able to be there for her younger sis, she then notices his tail and was confused "Uh...what's with that tail?", Daikon glanced at it and responded "Well...i was born with it, I'm not sure how...but it's apart of me".
Akame has never noticed it before due to how much was going on in the battle, she never even seen anyone with a tail before so this is extremely new to her, Daikon scratched his head "By the way...How is it like being under Gozuki?".
She stared at the ceiling, thinking about what they have been through thus far "It's nicer than I expected, our team felt like a family and we all had fun for the most part", hearing this gave him hope as Bill wasn't really a super nice guy, he was curious to see how things go with Gozuki.
"That sounds good" he responded before looking back down, his team were only able to comfort each other while Bill was being cold towards them, Akame decides to sit down near him ready to ask more questions "How are you able to manipulate energy like you did in the forest?".
Daikon didn't think too much about it but he explains as best he could, he looks at his left hand and holds a small Ki ball "I just focus my life force energy in the palm of my hands...then release it as an attack".
"Intersting..." Akame was gazing at the light in his hand though careful not to stare too close, the energy disappears then he rests his hand on the couch "So yeah, that's how I'm able to do that", she tilts her head "So Kurome and rest of your team know you can do this?".
"Well yeah...they're my friends" he says facing her, "Just one last question...What's one of the things you want to do?" Akame asked curiously, Daikon rests his shoulders, his mother's face in his mind "I want to see my mother again, maybe not now...but hopefully soon".
Akame never knew or remembered her parent too well as her and Kurome were sold, but she was sure his mother was a nice person "You will see her again soon, I promise" she wore a smile to lighten the mood.
He looks back, couldn't help but give her a thumbs up with a grin that told her everything was ok, Natala entered the room with a relaxed sigh "Hey guys", Daikon turns to his direction "Hey Natala" while Akame remained quiet but responds with a nod.
Natala looks at Akame and puts his hands on his hips "You two doing alright?" he asked, she replies with a nodding smile "Yeah, just catching up", he then crossed his arms...facing up with a small breath of air "Well I got some news, turns out a single soldier is messing up an army pretty badly".
Daikon jumped up with a surprised face "Huh, there's someone that strong on the enemy side?!" he asked, Natala gave a slight nod, sweat falling off his face "Yeah, while we are dealing with the Oarburghs...the enemy is also making strong moves against us".
He then faced forward at the both of them, the situation was getting tense as Daikon and Akame learned this information, "We can't do anything about it now, but the best we can do is take out the Oarburghs and weaken the revolution" he says in a serious tone".
Daikon stepped forward, he was intimidated by the strength of this supposed soldier...but that won't stop him, "Your right Natala, we will defeat these assassins and stop this guy from causing anymore harm!" he says determinedly.
Akame agrees "Yes, we will eliminate them...", Daikon walks closer to the window, gently touching the grass while looking outside "Let's all get stronger together...", the 2 would nod in agreement.
The Elite Seven must defeat these deadly Oarburgh assassins as best they can, if a single soldier is tough enough to take on an army...who knows what other opponents are out there, Daikon was determined to face such a man "I don't know who this guy is, but he sounds like a big threat".
He clenched his right fist "I wanna face him someday, to stop more people from dying...and to break my limits!", Akame was now more curious about him "He's an assassin like us...but still kindhearted, how lucky" she thought to herself, she wants to see how things go for this determined fighter.
Meanwhile
In the western region was a large desert battlefield, a fort holding imperial soldiers was being attacked by enemies, on the enemy side there was a woman with white hair and an eyepatch watching over the battle, she also had a green metal arm.
"Commander, there's a large man overpowering our forces!" a soldier with a mask called out, the commander rushed forward to see a 6 foot man with green body armor, a black leather jacket, and a combed-up hairstyle.
He cuts up 3 men with seemingly no effort, kicking away a few in his way while killing many others, a couple men froze in fear, unable to react to this powerhouse, the atmosphere was tense as he turned to them.
"What are you waiting for, release the heavy Calvery!" he shouts in a commanding voice, the mysterious man towered over the frightened soldiers with a confident smirk "What's the matter, afraid by my Handsom might?" he asked.
"You bastard!" one of them shouts as he charged forward, the man simply kicked him in the stomach and kills him with his blade, the blade was a silver shortsword with an intimidating red eye and chains on the ends of the pommel, "You guys never learn...", he muttered.
Chaos was currently going on in this battle, with soldiers from both sides fighting their hardest, however the battle was leaning towards the revolutions favor with this man on their side, as more soldiers foolishly charged at him he effortlessly kills them with swings of his sword.
Then the gates of the fort opened, revealing over 30 men on horses with guns and swords, the man smirked once more and stood straight "Ah I see...sending in the Calvery, well this should be no problem".
More foot soldiers charged out the gates as well, the man then held his sword forward upside down, taking in a deep breath, then with a powerful roar "INCURSIOOO!", a flaming aura exploded around him as well as strong winds, soon afterwards it all disappeared...and he now wore armor.
(Vinland Saga – Troll)
The armor was silver and white with black stripes, a white trench coat, large pauldrons, his helmet had a mask with intimidating glowing yellow eyes, he now held a long halberd with a red blade, as the man slowly approached the foot soldiers tried their best to hold in their fear.
All the imperial forces charged onward with shouts, "Wait that's Bulat...the wielder of the demon armor Incursio!" the soldier in the fort mentions, the commander angerly slammed his fist on a table "I don't care who he is, keep giving him everything you got!".
Bulat runs ahead towards the men on horseback, cutting the men as well as the horses to pieces, foot soldiers charged forward only for him to do the same, their screams of terror could be heard all the way from the fort, terrifying the men inside.
All their cut up bodies in the air, their blood falling down on him like rain, giving the armor an even more demonic look, he was fast enough to dodge almost all their bullets as well as deflect some with his halberd.
He jumps up high and prepares a powerful overhead swing, after hitting the ground it sent strong winds through the battlefield, the sand spreads through the area obscuring some of their sight, the commander watches as his men get annihilated.
"Damn him, how can someone like him exist!" he asks in a scared tone, he turns to his men "Hurry out the gates, think of something to take this man down!" he yelled, just before he can get a glimpse of what's happening outside Bulat's halberd stabs his head, removing it from his body.
The men panicked as they look at their once alive commander and at Bulat who stood outside the fort, staring at them quietly, then hundreds of rebels charged inside, killing every imperial they can find, he then starts walking through the gates as the carnage continued.
It was now close to sunset with the sunlight slowly turning orange, hundreds of corpses on both sides littered the sand with scorpions and other creatures messing with them, the Rebels were victorious in this battle and the fort had become theirs.
Bulat stared ahead at the setting sun...the wind blowing against his armors coat, the woman with the eyepatch approached him while on horseback, congratulating him on his performance "Well done Bulat, we are slowly turning the tides of the war".
He nods "Yes Najenda, the imperial bastards got what's coming", she smiled as they both walk off to the Unkown, the Empire has more to deal with than just assassins, a stronger force is on it's way to quell their efforts, things are looking dire.
3 days later
After 3 days of training and gathering information the elite seven were still finding the current whereabouts of the Oarburgh clan, whenever they learn new info more imperial spies start disappearing, "What a pain" Gozuki mutters while rubbing his face.
He stood outside for fresh air...staring at the night sky above with thoughts of the mission weighing heavily, "You alright sir?" Green approached him worried, the man nods his head "I'm fine, just tired of hearing about spies disappearing".
Green scratched his head, thinking to himself about the current situation "This is really getting out of hand", Gozuki pats his shoulder before beginning to walk off "Keep up the good work Green", "W-wait sir?" Green called out.
Gozuki stops and turns to his direction "Something you need?", the young man fixed his glasses as he asks him a question "Where are the other at?", the man replies while burying his hands inside his pockets "Natala is still at the inn, Akame and her sister are assassinating a couple of rebel higher ups, and Cornelia's with Daikon and Gin scouting for more info".
Green nods then walks back inside the inn, sitting down on a chair and looking at the table, there was a model ship that he made himself, picking it up gently and looking for things he might need to work on "Maybe I should try working on some of these with Akame" he thought to himself.
Gozuki was still outside leaning against the building, "The stars are nicer tonight, not covered by complete darkness" he thought, he lets out a tired sigh as he was about to close his eyes to take a quick nap, then he began hearing noises In the air, noises that sounded like something was flying.
He quickly turns to his right to see something in the air in the far distance "The hell is that?", a disk-shaped object that looked white and black, it flew east at an insane speed...never to be seen again.
"That can't be a comet...can't it?" he asks himself...baffled by what he just saw, he rubs his face before looking back down to nap "Maybe I'm just hallucinating...", the man closed his eyes...the disk-shaped object in the sky was still in his thoughts, could this be more than just an hallucination?
Meanwhile, enemy camp
A few rebels sat by the campfire, eating and telling stories of their battles, one of them mentions something in particular "You guys know there are assassins taking out a lot of our camps?", another man would reply while holding a chicken leg before eating "Yeah, that's why they hired some clan to take them out".
The man took off his bandanna and rests his shoulders "I don't know guys, this clan the generals hired seem pretty shady...", another soldier responded with a laid-back attitude "What's shady about a clan of women, they can't be as rotten as the Empire can they?".
As soldiers chattered amongst themselves 1 commander was sitting inside a large tent, drinking wine and reading documents, "Man...all this reading is stressing me out" he says in a tired tone.
One document caught his attention, as he reads through it he discovers something about the Empire "Wait...it seems that another assassin has been catching their attention", there was no drawings...but the document detailed their description.
"A tailed warrior, how is that even possible?" his curiosity was at it's peak, he puts it down to collect his thoughts, he rests his arms on his desk "So this tailed warrior is making a name for himself...interesting".
Just as he was about to get up...a sword stabs through his chest, he spits out blood, groaning before his death, Kurome stood over his body, cleaning her blade while glancing around "They know about Daikon?, this can't be good..." she says quietly to herself.
She cleverly hides the body inside a large chest and stealths her way out of the tent, sneaking in the shadows to not be seen, luckily the soldiers didn't notice anything wrong as they go about the night chatting and patrolling.
Kurome sees a glimpse of Akame killing the other target through another tent while outside, watching her shadow then sneak out as well, with the mission complete they leave the enemy camp as quietly as possible, the rebels were too busy to notice what was happening.
After running through the grassy landscape the sisters meet up, "Mission done" Kurome says with a winking smile, Akame nods and pats her head "Yeah, let's head back", the stars fill the night sky with beauty...making it hard to look away from.
"Did you learn anything new?" Kurome asked holding her sword close, Akame shook her head with honesty "Not really, only the usual political talk, what about you?", Kurome stops for a moment and turned to face her "I heard that they might be aware of Daikon's existence".
The older sis was surprised by what was told, even though she hadn't known him for too long yet...she can't help but worry "Did they know his name?", "No sis, but from the sounds of it... someone was able to describe what he looked like" she responds.
Akame crossed her arms, thinking to herself as they walked through the grassland "That could mean they might figure out who the rest of us are, this is dangerous", she keeps her eyes forward, the worrying getting to her "I hope they don't figure out who we are" she mutters.
She feels a pat on her shoulder, Kurome smiled at her...wanting to cheer her up "Don't worry sis, we'll take them all out and live happily together with our friends!", Akame smiled back and hugs her close, the power of her sisters smile always lifts away her worries.
"Yes...we'll do this together, nothing will stop us" she says quietly, Kurome nods while still in the hug, afterwards she continued to walk with Akame, gripping her sword tightly "Me, sis, Daikon, and all of us will make it as long as we stick together, we will win".
Meanwhile
"Hey mam, have you saw anyone suspicious around here?" Daikon asks someone near a small town, the woman nodded her head "Y-yeah, I remember seeing a woman with dark hair dragging another girl with her to a random house" she says while keeping her hands close to her chest.
Cornelia approached closer, putting on her gauntlet shingu before asking her a question "Do you know what might have happened afterwards?", "I'm not too sure, but the poor girl walked out shaking...and the woman walked was guarded by others and walked east" the she replied.
Daikon scratched his head with a confused look "What would this lady want from a random girl?", Gin looks towards the left, taking a moment to think then responding "Whatever it is...she traumatized someone from the sounds of it".
The woman crossed her arms with a somewhat sad look, keeping her eyes on the ground "I don't know what's going on, but I hope people are able to deal with this problem, I feel bad for the victim", Daikon gave a reassuring smile while clenching his right fist "It'll be alright mam, we will stop this lady from causing any more harm!".
After that her fears were lifted away, crossing her fingers and smiling back, a light shined upon the darkness "Thank you so much, we need more people like you young man...", they wave the nice lady goodbye and start heading back to the inn, successful in getting some more info.
But little did they know...there was someone hiding behind a tree, "So...that must be the boy Taeko mentioned" she says quietly, the young woman had light red hair, pink eyes and carried a strange case with her.
As they walked Daikon puts his hands in his pockets "This strange lady must be their leader", Gin agrees with a nod "Yeah, someone with a strong dominating aura is sure to be the leader", he rests his shoulders, the worried woman and the victim still in his mind.
"You alright Daikon?" she asked, he lets out a quiet sigh as he stared at the night sky "I'm fine, but I hope those people will be ok", Cornelia answered while closing her eyes "They should be fine, plus your positive words helped ease her mind".
She then looks at him "If you are able to erase her worries...you already helped her" her blue eyes sparkled from the moonlight, Daikon thought about it for a second and grinned, he's happy he was able to make things better.
The red haired woman decides to head back to where she came from, carrying her case with her "They would probably want me to kill them...but I can't do that yet", she runs through the trees and bushes to prevent anyone from seeing her "After all...i can use them".
To be continued...
